After having to leave another cabin we had booked through Timber Tops/Amazing Views cabins ( do not make the mistake I and many others have made feel free to look up my review )...I was scrambling to find somewhere to stay that wasn't going to cost twice what I was already out. I was getting overwhelmed and upset, this was supposed to be a fun, short stay that was getting over shadowed by an unscrupulous company and a misrepresented and poorly maintained property. Then Ginger answered the phone at Oak Haven like she was manning the phone for the Lord's personal office. She found an available unit with the bedding we needed that she could offer the best rate on for same day check-in. And did it all with the sweetest, kindest and most helpful demeanor. And seemed genuinely interested in helping us get out of the dilemma we were in at the current cabin we'd rented elsewhere. She was a Godsend in a wretched moment where I was ready to pack up and head home! She assured us their office was open for check in til 10pm so there was no reason to change our days plans and race over. We loaded up and went about our day trying to forget what had come before. When we arrived we were met by Josie I believe her name was? I was a lot calmer and not as desperate by this time so she wasn't blazed in my mind quite the same way Ms Ginger was, but this young lady was equally delightful! And.. as a 50 yr old female I feel ok saying it was very refreshing how she was dressed and presented herself! She boosted my hope in younger people! Anyhow, obviously their customer service was a delight..you arrive and the office is at the foothill of the entrance to the resort.. a quick stop for check in, meet their delightful staff- heck grab a fresh coffee, its there! They have a map of the resort, they'll highlight the best path to get to your cabin! The gated resort has a pool, an arcade I believe and a playground maybe other things but we were already pretty planned out. Arriving at the cabin...1st thing we saw was a hard lined propane gas grill, no worries about providing your own tank or running out half way through dinner... and there was a charger by the porch for an electric vehicle. The cabin itself, #54 was a 2br..the entire upstairs was a bedroom w 2 queen beds and an full bathroom. Down stairs was an open concept w a living room, a game area with a retro arcade console, pool table, foosball, board games, extra couch seating - kitchen complete w everything needed large seating area, washer/dryer and a large master w a king, a soaker tub and an en suite bathroom with walk in shower. The screened in porch had lots of seating options, a full patio table rocking chairs, 2 porch swings, lights, ceiling fans, a large hot tub w steps and a handle, and towels hanging by the hot tub!! The beds were all comfortable, everything worked as expected, there was an abundance of towels and kitchen linens, they had after hours emergency #s posted for maintenence emergencies. The resort itself is lovely and is built around a mountain side... the drive through it isn't treacherous, but is steep in areas and might need to be a consideration if you're coming in a winter month, there also wasn't any splendid views to be had other than the beauty of the surrounding area, which has been well preserved and cabins positioned in a way to still seem remote and private. I can honestly say for future visits to the area, Oak Haven will always be where I check out 1st. I truly appreciated all they did to salvage our stay! Thanks so much! read more

We love Oak Haven Resort! We just completed our third trip at three different cabins over several years and each time it still gets better. They have kept growing too, so many new cabins for rentals each year and always so clean. They have wonderful playground and beautiful fall decorations (even in each cabins). We like to drive 20 minutes over to Pidgeon Forge, so these cabins are quiet and lovely but you're still able to get into the troika Ty areas quick enough. read more

Stayed here for 3 nights & 4 days in a 3 bedroom cabin. The cabin was spotless, everything was very organized and they had everything we needed for the weekend. The jacuzzi was turned on already when we arrived so it was ready to get into whenever! We also went to the spa and got a couples massage which was amazing. Definitely recommend when coming to Tennessee! Less than an hour drive to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. read more

Pros: cabin 7 was clean, comfortable, and had enough kitchen utensils for cooking. Reservation staff was friendly and helpful. Pillows were fluffy and linens were nice. Trash service was helpful. They have a linen service which we didn't use but which was nice touch. Pool and hot tub were hits! Location to pool is great! There was 7 of us (3 adults and 4 kids) and the cabin was the perfect size. The leather couch in the game room was so comfortable! Check out list was the best and easiest of any cabin we've ever rented. Cons: beds were so uncomfortable. Towels were scratchy. Carpet in master bedroom felt crusty and seemed dingy. Probably older carpet and just needs to be replaced. The sofas in the main living room seemed like they could need a cleaning or the fabric is just weird. A woodpecker came very early and was pecking on the cabin. This happened a couple of times and there's noticeable damage to the wood. Thank goodness the woodpecker wasn't there every morning or it would've been a long week. Would definitely return and will recommend to others. Bring coffee filters or k cups as the coffee pot didn't have a filter. There's a drip coffee pot and a keurig which was nice. There's a Publix about 3.5 miles away which was great! And it's easy to get to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. read more

My family and I loved this place. Our first visit was right before Thanksgiving of this year (2019). There were 11 of us total, and the cabin we stayed in was absolutely perfect. It was very clean, updated and more than well equipped with many amenities and luxuries. The location is perfect, too. It's close enough to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg without being right in the middle of all of the traffic and busyness. The resort feels very tucked back and private even though it's not in the middle of nowhere. We are very picky when it comes to places to stay, and I highly recommend Oak Haven as a vacation spot/mountain getaway. My family has decided to make coming here an annual fall tradition. We were looking for a romantic place in the mountains to celebrate our 25th anniversary and I honestly can't imagine a better choice. From the first contact to securing our cabin, making a down payment to checking in everything was a very smooth process. This resort has roughly 100 cabins on the complex and even though they aren't completely secluded, you have the impression that you are alone in the woods. We stayed in cabin 48, unforgettable, and it truly was!! Our cabin consisted of 1 bedroom with a king sized bed, a Jacuzzi tub, and a huge walk in shower. The living room was very cozy with a large screen smart TV, a leather couch and 2 chairs. Since we visited right after the holidays the Christmas tree was still up which added to the cozy atmosphere. There was a fireplace in the living room and another in the dining room. A full kitchen was available. The screened in porch contained comfortable seating and a grill. One of the best features was a loft containing a pool table, dart board and 2 TV's along with my favorite place to sit, a cozy nook with windows on 3 sides. But the very best thing was the hot tub in a screened in porch off the bedroom. The office staff were available 24/7 and couldn't have been friendlier. They made us feel welcome and even gave us an anniversary gift. Linens can be exchanged daily by leaving them in a laundry bag on the front porch. They have a spa on site and a small gift shop in the office. I recommend this place to anyone seeking an alternative to staying in a hotel. You will be staying outside of the tourist areas of Pigeon forge and Gatlinburg which we found to be nice and relaxing. I can't wait to go back for another 'unforgettable' experience! read more

Oak Haven Resort & Spa My wife and I came here for a little weekend getaway and my my I must say it was beautiful! Our cabin was a 1 bedroom but could sleep 6! it was huge!! Nice kitchen with all the utensils & cooking ware needed plus then some. Our cabin contained an upstairs game room with a pool table and full size bathroom, on the side porch we had a hot tube, air hockey table with a gas grilled that I used EVERY NIGHT WE STAYED NO MATTER THE TEMP! Cable TV that showed all the football games and this resort was not far from Walmart or other commercial sites if we needed something. Only not so good thing was that we didn't have a Christmas tree when we arrived:( But the office did call and apologized and asked if we wanted one put up? We declined cause we didn't want the interruption...was getting our relaxation on! All in All we Love Love LOVED every min out there and can't wait to return! read more

We've been coming to Oak Haven Resort for at least the past 10 years for an annual family/friends getaway. This past trip, we stayed in cabin 90 and couldn't have been more pleased. It's a 6 bedroom cabin that features a theater room, pool table, jacuzzi, ping pong table,karaoke machine , several sitting areas , grills and a huge patio. The kitchen has two dishwashers and any appliance that you can think of. They also had several board games and books for entertainment. The property itself has a spa, basketball court, playground and walking trails. The location is not far at all from the many tourist attractions in the area. Oak Haven is great for all ages and groups. Everyone in our group had a wonderful time and we're looking forward to next year. read more

My husband and I always stay here for our weekend getaways in the summer and our large group ski trips in the winter. Beatiful cabins with great decor and up to date kitchens. Hot tubs are clean and usually large. Pool in the summer. Away from the busy traffic of Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, but you do have to drive to get anywhere. Would highly recommend! read more

Unfortunately, I can't recommend Oak Haven Resort. This is my second trip to the resort (my company has a retreat here every summer). We have stayed in two different cabins and both were nice and the views were very good. The price is a bit high in the summer, but on par with other cabins in the area. My kids love the arcade games and the common game room. Overall our stays have been 4 to 5 stars. The reason for my negative review is due to property that I left in our cabin when we checked-out and the resort's response. The item was a personalized shirt given to me by my children and it had a lot of sentimental value. Two days after our stay, we called the property and asked if the cleaning crew found it. They told us no and we asked them if they could visit the cabin and look, especially since we knew it was in the Master bedroom closet. They told us they would not interrupt the family there and we would have to wait 4 days until the family checked-out. Unfortunately, I wasn't close enough to just visit the cabin myself. I called the day the family was supposed to check-out and asked them to ask the family, when they checked-out, if they saw it and ensure the cleaning crew knew where to look for it. They said they would and then they would call me back. I received no phone call, so at 8PM I called back and they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about and the individual didn't see any of my information and wasn't aware of my missing property. I was then told two families had visited our cabin and that it hadn't been turned in to the office. I asked him if they could visit and ensure they checked the master bedroom closet and he told me a third family was now in the cabin and that the cleaning crew was trained to look for left behind property and wouldn't have missed it. Ultimately, it's my fault for leaving the shirt behind; however, it would have been nice for them to at least have made an effort to recover it. Sadly, I don't even know for sure that it's not still in the closet, because I can't even get them to specifically go and look... So frustrating. Sadly, I will stay somewhere else next year and drive to the company retreat from another property. If this doesn't stop you from renting a cabin, I would recommend you bring some tape and a small piece of cardboard, because the arcade games do not have a volume control and are very loud. Tape the cardboard over the speaker vent and you can at least get a little bit of a break from the constant arcade music. read more

It was disgusting and the fact that it made the sheet sticky and the fact that the housekeeping could not see a sucker on the sheets blows my mind. My husband does a yearly golf trip that includes lodging here. I think I the cabins are great and suitable for large group. It includes all the amenities of other cabins you can rent in the area... Hot tubs, dishes, land linens. There are scenic views and it is a gated community. However, my only complaint is that all the cabins are so close together you lose a little of that cabin feel. Cabin 47, secluded and well-appointed, exceeded our expectations. The entire resort is beautiful, gated and convenient to shopping and all the sights, but out of town enough to give you a feel of the mountains. 2 bedrooms, king size beds with comfy sheets, 3 big flat screen TVs with cable and DVDs, two full baths, one jetted tub and a lovely screened in back porch with large clean hot tub and grill.
