Our families and friends had to wait for an hour and a half later than scheduled for the crematory because there was another cremation service still going on. When we arrived at Evans crematory, this man in charge was so rude and disrespectful from the beginning. I didn't get his name but I will never forget his face. He made everyone parked two hills down from the cremation site when there were plenty of parking nearby. He rushed my family to get the casket out of the hearse. He kept telling us to hurry and that ONLY the wife and children could view the cremation process but on Evans web site, it is stated that families and friends could be present. The saddest part was my grandmother didn't get a chance to say good bye to her son because she was still walking up the hills while this disrespectful man started the cremation process. None of us got a chance to say our last good bye. We were rushed by this man just because he was behind on his schedule. This man didn't allow the Buddhist monks to do the service. It's hard enough to lose your love one but to also deal with a disrespectful funeral facility. We are still saddened by this incident. This rude man disrespected my families, friends, the monks, our religion and most of all, my uncle. I DO NOT recommend this crematory. RUDE PEOPLE!!!!

My friend recently lost her grandmother, who had raised her from the age of 8 and whom she had spent the last five years caring for. Her grandmother's final wishes were to be cremated, and we were determined to honor those wishes. Unfortunately, we initially encountered significant obstacles involving the next of kin, including difficult and traumatic family circumstances as well as callous treatment from Flanigan's. When we came to Crowell Brothers, the difference in service was immediately apparent. Our experience with Flanigan's had left us feeling dismissed and discouraged, while Mr. Bradley approached the situation with patience, compassion, and a genuine willingness to help. Mr. Bradley listened to the entire situation with compassion and understanding. He did not judge my friend for the complicated circumstances surrounding her family. Instead, he focused on finding solutions and helping us navigate the situation. This was in stark contrast to our experience with Flanigan's, where we felt that our circumstances were not treated with the care or sensitivity they deserved. Mr. Bradley offered to take on contacting the next of kin himself. He answered all of my questions, explained the possible courses of action, and was incredibly persistent in getting the information and cooperation we needed to move forward. At a time when we were already dealing with grief, stress, and uncertainty, having someone knowledgeable who was willing to take the situation seriously and help us navigate it meant more than I can put into words. Rather than making the process more difficult, as our earlier experience had, Mr. Bradley helped make it manageable. What stood out most was that we never felt like a burden or like we were simply a transaction. We felt like he genuinely cared about helping us honor this woman's final wishes. That level of personal attention and compassion was something we had not experienced with Flanigan's. Mr. Bradley truly went above and beyond. The kindness, compassion, patience, and guidance we received from Crowell Brothers were exactly what you hope for from a funeral home during one of the most difficult times in your life. The contrast between the two experiences could not have been clearer: Flanigan's made an already painful situation feel more difficult, while Mr. Bradley and Crowell Brothers gave us reassurance, support, and practical help when we needed it most. I am incredibly grateful that we found Crowell Brothers, and I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who needs funeral services. They showed us what compassionate service should look like.

The woman who answered (I believe her name was Lynn) was dismissive, loudly huffing and sighing and made me feel like my questions were a burden. She took my number and said a funeral director would call me back. After two hours with no call back, I called again and had to leave another message with the answering service. When someone named Sam finally called back, I asked for a cremation quote to share with family. The price was extremely high and didn't include a private viewing. When I expressed concern, his tone felt like the conversation was a waste of time. I was going to ask about burial options, but the overall experience completely turned me off from using them. We ended up going with Roswell Funeral Home instead.

I waited for a confirmation e mail for about an hour. I checked my mail and found nothing from them. I then called and got an answering service that promised me the director would call me back asap. He never called, and I still did not know if the order went through. I had to be at work at 7 am on the day of my sisters service. I called and asked her fiancée if the flowers were delivered, he said no. My family had faith that I could order flowers for a funeral, Now I feel worse than I already did. For them to just ignore me at a time like this blows my mind beyond reason. Now I sit and feel lousy because of someone else's incompetence, or lack of caring. The worst example of customer service ever.
