But I never really had reason to purchase these pint sized items. But with a niece and another on the way I'm in full aunty mode. Although I find kids clothing expensive in general given the size of the clothing and how quickly it gets outgrown (not to mention dirty) Hatley's pricing is quite reasonable, especially if it's on sale - then if you can think far enough in advanced (or don't mind having last seasons prints) there are some fantastic bargains to be had. That portion of the experience was good (although the item was $118, and you can buy the same product from Buy Buy Baby for $90...so definitely overpriced). However, the actual experience of trying to spend the $118 since then has been so aggravating. They have one really nice saleslady, and one who absolutely makes every experience awful. The woman who sucks is the brunette Caucasian girl. I was the only person in the store and she didn't even help me at all. The other girl, of darker complexion, was way better once she came off break, but I was already too aggravated to want to buy anything. This has happened THREE TIMES NOW. I sort of want to ask them when the white girl works so I can just avoid her altogether. Besides being overpriced, I've seen a number of pieces of clothing from nightwear to baby wear that has stains on it. The first thing I chocked up as a one time item stain, but now it's been enough that I don't understand what's going on (although looks like an oil stain). Anyway, customer service is awful and everything is overpriced. If I didn't HAVE MONEY THERE TO SPEND, I wouldn't go back.

I bought three dresses (wasn't sure about one of them) but was told you have a week to return it (with the receipt ) Ok , simple. Four days later I returned it, with the receipt, and I put it on a velvet hanger ( I had thrown out the bag) I had taken the price tag off but reattached it with a small gold pin. The manager said they can't take it back because the price tag was removed (never was it mentioned by the staff that the price tag being removed was an issue ) I said Can't you use that price tag gun to reattach it ? We don't own one. Then went on, and said dresses with no tags are donated not resold They are priced at the factory. I asked what happens when someone trying on the Dress accidentally removes the tag in the dressing room? Pause. . She looks at my tag, types in the computer, walks to a rack of clothes and says your tag is for THIS Dress, not the dress you brought in. I said, So you mis tagged my dress? Did I pay more for my dress then? Pause. She looks at the tag again and said, you bought 3 dresses, I'm afraid you brought the wrong tag in. The printing on the tags are tiny (so to be cautious) I brought all three tags in, just in case. I Showed her all three tags at once. Silence. I'm with my daughter, who found a dress she liked (it was supposed to be a fun day with her) At this point, the manager (I asked) was fuming. I said, Look, I just want to make a Simple exchange. She huffed, FINE! Never ever again!!! My daughter, was in shock at the treatment. We will never shop there again. This manager was worst I've ever met. I don't know how she got to be the manager, but she is a very poor choice. I have reached out to the head office as well. Normally I'm speechless and let things go. not today.
