Just moved to Gilbert a few months ago and needed to find a new pediatric dentist. I found this place that was more of a holistic approach. Came today for first visit and everything was great. My almost 4 yr old got his first xrays and it was a handheld machine so super cool to see that, I would assume hardly any radiation as we didn't need to go behind a wall when the xray was taken. He watched tv with headphones while getting cleaned. Dr. Veneberg aka "Doc V" and her staff are the absolute "Best of the Best" in pediatric dentistry, we have 4 kids (2 typical and 2 special needs autistic) and they have have been patients at the practice for 8+ years. Doc V is a fantastic dentist and has a true passion for her craft. The office is well appointed and caters to kids whether very young or teenagers. Our daughter (moderate to severe on spectrum) had a phobia about dental offices and Doc V allowed us to do desensitization visits for about a year. Everyone in the office was very kind and caring and were willing to actively participate in the process of eventually getting my daughter over her fears. In the course of medical and dental professionals that I've encountered with my kids, few have shown the kindness, caring and expertise as Doc V and her staff. We took our daughter here for her 18 month visit. We live over in Surprise but for us, the over an hour drive was well worth it to see a functional pediatric dentist. We wanted to see someone who could address our daughter's high palate and open mouth breathing. From start to finish we were so impressed with our experience at Little White Tooth. From the easy online scheduling and thoughtful paperwork designed to ask questions to give them ideas on how to make your child feel more at ease, to the warm greeting, sparkling clean office, and inviting play area. But what stood out the most was the exam itself. The dentist can be a scary place and my daughter has some really big emotions to navigate when it comes to any medical setting. I was so grateful for the patience from the dental hygienist Jenna who tried to put out my little one at ease by offering her a goodie bad ahead of time, letting her selected a toothbrush, and offering to let her hold the dental tools. Dr. V was so warm and took the time to do everything in her power to make my daughter feel comfortable and even did a mini exam on my daughter's Elmo toy she brought with her from home. I was super impressed at Dr. V taking a mental note of things she was picking up on during our visit like my daughters open mouth breathing and tongue position at rest, and I was incredibly grateful for the referrals she offered for things that came up that were even beyond dentistry itself that we are trying to navigate. We appreciate her insight, patience, thrones, and knowledge of her industry. On our way out I asked if it would be okay for my daughter to play in the playroom for a little bit before our long drive back home and they said absolutely. I took my daughter there for her first dental check up and it was an excellent experience. The doctor listened carefully to my questions and offered great tips. It was very easy to schedule the appointment, I did everything online (love that)! I received a call after scheduling to confirm my insurance information and prior to the visit, I went online again and filled out all the forms. Super convenient! When we arrived, we just checked in and we were all set. In and out in about 30 min or so. I scheduled my daughter's next check up in 6 months before I left and we were given a cute goodie bag for my daughter! I chose the clinic only based on online reviews and it was an excellent choice! I am so frustrated with this place! I have gone very far out if my way to take my kids here for about 3 years. At our last appointment Dr. V wasn't even there so while I paid full price my kids weren't seen by the dentist. I was assured she would call me, she never did. One child began having issues with her spacer months ago & I can't get anyone to call me back! I have now left 2 messages with the receptionist, a voicemail, and sent them text messages with pictures as the receptionist requested & they will not respond! The only issue is how jealous I get from watching my son get what for a kid would be 5 star treatment in a relaxing, fun and super kid friendly environment. We've been using Little White Tooth for a long time now. We love it here so much that we even self paid at one point for my daughter. Unfortunately, I've been notified they changed the way they schedule (they do certain insurances on certain days). I needed to schedule my daughter on a day other then the ONE day they have available a week for our specific insurance. The girl I talked to said that's the way they schedule now. So I asked what happens when someone can't make it on the specific day and she explained to me that they go elsewhere. I asked if they are able to make any exceptions and she said no. So I guess we are no longer clients here because we can't make it on Thursday between 9 am and 1 pm? I am EXTREMELY disappointed by this. read more

I can't even express enough of how happy I am that a dentist office knows what MTHFR is and that they ask about it when filling out the forms online. I was so happy when I saw that. We took our son today for a cleaning with Dr. V for the first time. She was so patient, calm and understanding that my husband and I were amazed. She took her time and made sure we understood everything and we never felt rushed. Took my 2 year old for her check up for the first time to Little White Tooth. The staff is so nice and friendly and we're so accommodating with my toddlers schedule. This office could not care less about children. I had 2 children scheduled, during school day (had to pick them up earlier and leave my work earlier too), and the day before we went out of town for several weeks. We were running late for about 7 minutes but they wouldn't take us. Turned out, they only had 20 minutes scheduled for both children (instead of back to back) which was never mentioned. 20 minutes?!.. They didn't try to do anything to accomodate us (it was a busy period before Christmas but still!) and just simply refused to take them. I'm just now catching up with all of my emails after returning back and that's how I noticed the initial review was requested to be removed because it didn't include enough detail. We are new to the area and had not found a dentist for the kids yet. My son had horrible tooth pain so I began looking for somewhere to get him on. Dr. V and her staff got him in that same day and treated him with so much care and compassion. My daughter was due for her first check-up as well so I scheduled her for the following day. This place is very clean, staff is very friendly, But! If you don't have dental insurance don't go here. I was quoted a price over the phone, A rough estimate, but when I checked out it was double that amount and services that I never asked for was done and added a large amount to my final bill. That is not ok!! The young receptionist was clueless when I tried to explain that you can not quote an estimate of roughly $180 and when everything is done the final bill is $350.. I'll be going to my regular dentist with my kids from now on. I was hoping this would work out but sadly it won't. read more

We have three children we have taken to see Dr. V. We have a primary dental insurance as well as a secondary. We were told we would not be paying anything for the extraction and two months later we get a bill for over $100! This isn't the first time that we were charged after we were told their wouldn't be a fee. I also called and needed to reschedule two of their appointments. No one answered the phone during regular business house so I had to leave a message. I received a call back confirming the appointments rather than canceling them. Do you even listen to your messages? I was going to reschedule, until the icing on the cake. I just received a phone call asking to reschedule their appointments. During the call, I state that I plan to take our business elsewhere and the gal on the other end of the phone says ok. No, why, no, is there anything we can do to keep your business! Nothing. It's off to see Dr Scott who we take all of our other children to. Always upfront about the cost and no hidden fees presented at the appointment. read more

I had several issues with Little White Tooth. First, the Office Mngr. told me the procedure my son needed would be covered by my insurance. It wasn't & I got a call several weeks later saying I owed a few hundred dollars. Next, my other son needed a cavity filled. When White Tooth couldn't fit me in by end of year (to maximize insur. bennefits), I found another dental office that could do it. They suggested another remedy for the cavity that ended up being much less expansive & non-invasive/painful for my child. Lastly, White Tooth mixed up my 2 sons dental records, causing issues and confusion. There are SO many great pediatric dental offices out there that I would recommend choosing a different pactice besides Little White Tooth. read more
