Our dog loves it here. She goes for daycare and for boarding when needed, and she is always SO excited to run in. I wish they had cameras that people could open and check on their dog, but I also understand the can of worms that would open. We have had a few issues with our dog eating things she wasn't supposed to, that ended up with expensive vet bills. The team was very responsive, caring, and investigated until they figured out what she was eating. I worry that it's a ratio issue - too many dogs and not enough supervision. But, they corrected the access issue between the problem chews and our pup and we haven't had a problem since. read more

We have been boarding and grooming our dogs there for years now. Besides the prices being extremely reasonable and the staff being very professional, our dogs are treated nicely and we wouldn't even consider any place else in Polk County. When you go into a business, year in and year out, and you recognize the same faces, it gives you a feeling of confidence. The only negative is I wish it was closer to our home. Had our first visit today and only made the appt 3 days ago. There's very convenient drop off and pick up times, and plenty of parking for busy times. Both dogs were in for a bath, no clipping. We added additional services of booty glands and extra special paw care to complete our dogs care. Dogs were ready right on time. Staff is friendly, caring and did a fantastic job on both dogs. I brought my dog to daycare 9am. It was going to be a hot day. I picked him up at 1pm where the hear index was at least 101 degrees. I know this place had an air conditioned room for the dogs. When I picked up my dog and got to the care he was really thirsty. Its a good thing I had a bottle of water in my care. He drank out of my hand for at least 10 mins. When we got home he had a heat rash all over his groin area. When I touched it he yelped. Also, he is really afraid of other dogs and very timid with other people. In other words, he is not the same dog. I called and asked how they treat the dogs in extreme heat. They stated the dogs are rotated every 15 mins., inside and then outside. The room was air conditioned. My dog could not have been brought inside for any length of time because he was a mess when I picked him up. Beware if you take your dog there. Never again!! read more

I called this center, and they took my precious service/baby Wally in without any question. She (Wally) was originally abused before I rescued her from the SPCA, and then had her certified as a service animal. I talked with a very sympathetic person at the grooming center who chose a groomer that did an excellent job on my baby Wally! I tipped the groomer, with whom I wish I could have met, but had left for the day. The service was excellent, and did a pristine job with Wally. They handled her with care, and professionalism, as if Wally was their baby. This is why (and I'm disabled due to cancer and 3 strokes) I am taking her back there to be groomed. I just recently boarded my dog there and she contracted Kennel cough while in their care. I took my dog to the vet unexpectedly. She could barely and was coughing uncontrollably. The vet told me she contracted kennel cough and were the ones that told me there had been an outbreak at little wolfe's. They didn't even have the decency to let me as a customer know that there had been an outbreak while my dog was there. I understand it's a possibility when you board your animal, but at least let me know there was an outbreak. read more

We have used this place for both of our dogs 5+ times. We've used it for weekend stays as well as 2 week stays. The staff is always nice and friendly and makes sure our dogs are well taken care of. One of my dogs is a bit dog-aggressive and we've had no issues with boarding him and the staff makes sure to take him out separately, while my second dog gets a lot of play time with the other dogs. That's a huge plus in my book! read more

Great place for grooming your dog but for boarding? Come on people! You can't be serious. You're going to jack up your prices come May 1? Really? How could you do this after raising your prices recently? I have two dogs, little ones and your prices will have risen 33% in under 2 years. You are much higher than inflation. This is an outrage and you should be ashamed of your greed. Almost $30 a night for a dog in a cage when in 2021, it was just $19. You're taking advantage of a loyal customer base and now consider me a former one. Shame on you. Polk County is a middle class area and if my wife and I take a week vacation, your bill will be $400,for those seven days. How do you sleep at night ripping off your loyal trade. I do not take your dogs here! have debated on leaving this review and after time decided it's a must. I had taken my fur baby to stay at the resort for the first time in September she had never been boarded prior to this. She stayed less than a week and when we called to check in we were told she was great. After picking her up we noticed she seemed somewhat anxious but attributed this to it being her first time away and for the most part this all resolved in time. Fast forward to March we took her and she stayed one week. We were not made aware of any issues throughout the week at all. When we went to pick her up we were told she had an accident on herself last night but she was far too aggressive for them to clean. They offered for us to come back and muzzle her then they would clean her which we turned down. Our dog was NEVER aggressive towards anyone. She lives in a house full of people. We knew something was wrong and we just wanted our dog. When they brought her out it was clear she had pooped/peed on herself multiple times and no way it had "just happened" as we were told. We couldn't drive home without the windows open because she smelled so badly. She was shaking and scared and our hearts broke. We called to resort and they told us they had put our dog in the cat room because she wasn't happy in the room with the other dogs. The owner told us she left a note for the weekend crew to make sure after she went out to potty she went back in that room which they did not do and she was placed back in the dog room her last night there. We were NEVER made aware of this during her stay which I feel if an animal is having a negative experience they should bring it to the owners attention. They offered a partial refund of $33. My poor dog is still not the same and I believe they did lifelong trauma to her. Whenever we leave the house now she trembles in her kennel and drools on herself the whole time we are gone. If we are walking outside and someone or another dog comes up to her she shakes uncontrollably and has an accident. She is so anxious all the time and now also shows extreme guarding aggression. I don't know what kind of place they are running but please don't take your animals there if you love them. read more

This place far exceeded my expectations. I left my dog Cappy for 11 days. The staff took excellent care of Cappy and little did I know Cappy was having tons of fun at birthday parties and pool parties. I'm sure if he could talk he would've told me he didn't want to leave. I loveee this place! It is affordable but the workers are all friendly and take great care of your dog. They have parties for birthdays and holidays and playground equipment for typical daycare days. They also provide boarding and any type of grooming service. My dog does not even like other dogs usually but he cries and drags me into the door every time we arrive. read more

Little Wolfe's Pet Resort is my "babies" home away from home. We first started going there four years ago. My two Shelties went to daycare every day as I worked down the street. And would board there when travelling. The long and short of it, my babies knew what SCHOOL meant...Fun times for them ALL DAY!! My two dogs were of polar opposite personalities. One was a hyper, playful, running and jumping typical sheltie. My other is a snuggler who likes to just chill. The staff knew my babies and gave both the appropriate love and attention to accommodate both of their needs. The grooming staff is also AMAZING. I would have both dogs groomed differently due to their different needs. Each and every time it was perfect. I have since moved too far to send my dog (one has since passed away due to old age) to daycare every day. However, I will drive the hour there and the hour back (twice each) to take my Sheltie to get groomed. He is so happy and loved there, it is the only place I can and will take him. I am not blind to the fact that sometimes there are bad days, and bad reviews come from those days. But I honestly have to say, Little Wolfe's is the best place for any pet lovers babies to go. Personal attention, love for the animals, terrific staff, affordable, and all-in-all your fur-babies favorite place on earth (when away from their parents). read more

Took my puppy here hoping he would be taken care of, I visited the vet ER because he was sooooo sick, to find out he had kennel cough from visiting here, I did reach out to the owner and she took her time to research the situation and call me back in a prompt time. I called yesterday to make an appointment for my dog And this was the first time I was going to send him there. The earliest appointment was December 15. They stated that they would put me on a cancellation list so if anyone canceled they would bump my dog into an earlier slot and possibly another day I was told to email to send his documents and any hairstyle recommendations for my dog. A few minutes later, I received a call stating there was a cancellation 12/6 at 930am and my dog was moved up so I made arrangements for him to be dropped off. I then received an email saying they would refer to his hairstyle requests for 12/15 after the call. I then responded to the email detailing the recent call made to me. I then called to avoid further confusion and chaos. I detailed what had occurred in the last few minutes to confirm dates and times. Another associate stated there was no booking for 12/6 for my dog and he is still on 12/15 but there is now a cancellation on 12/6 but for 1pm. At this spot, I am feeling apprehensive about the competency and organization of this grooming business but I am trying to keep faith that it may be a bad day. This morning at 854am, I get a call from little Wolfe asking if I can bring my dog in at "whatever time earlier than 1pm" because the groomer has time now. I stated that there has been a lot of back and forth and disorganization and I asked for this person's name for clarification. This person Madison stated "Yea just bring him in before 1pm," and I stated that I have to clarify if he can be dropped off earlier now because I am not the one dropping my dog off so I do not know if that is possible. After getting off this call and having such chaos and confusion with this company and I have not even dropped him off yet, it was best to cancel with them completely. It was a terrible first impression and displays such disorganization, lack of professionalism and incompetency. read more

This place hurt my animal badly and then did not even offer an apology! I wrote about what happened on their google review. The owner then lied about what my mother (who used to be a vet tech years ago) said.My dog's skin was ripped off from his elbows and backs of his feet. This happened while he was at this horrible place for ONE night. I also have time stamped video AND photo proof on the drive to "Little Wolfe's" and my dogs elbow skin and hair and feet hair and skin was completely in tact! These people are horrible! They also gave him an anti diarrhea medine twice without my knowledge or consent. I only found out he was sick when I asked them to wash off the dried feces that was all over his backside (and his feet, which I noticed when I got home at the same time I noticed his elbows). No one informed me they gave him medicine when I picked him up, or when I spoke to the manager twice the next day and a few days later, or the first time I spoke to Ann the owner. The second time I spoke to the owner then she informed me they gave him imodium. If he was not dragged along the concrete, how did he get missing skin from his elbows and feet in these people's "care"? THEY COULD OFFER NO PROOF OF WHAT HAPPENED. They could offer no explanation as to why all of his skin and fur was missing on these parts of his body! Disgusting!! Only bring your animal here if you want them hurt, they have horrible reviews on yahoo and google! Stay away!! read more

Dropped by dog off on a Saturday, pick him up at 10am on Monday. I was mislead to think that many of their customers were happy due to the FB reviews. Saw a customer, they seemed happy. Ladies at desk were friendly. That's where this good review ends abruptly. Monday morning at 10am, I called before I came and she told me that they had just been out playing. Great! Paid while they brought my pup to me. She forgot his blanket, so she had to go back and grab it for us. It was SOAKED in urine! SOAKED! (Meaning he had to pee in his blanket in his kennel at least a few times!!! This dog can hold peeing for 8Hours!) Immediately when we walked out of the door, he peed FOUR times. Pooped 2. This dog has not been walked for a long time if he immediately pees and poops when we walk outside. Put him in the car and walked back in to let her know that if he had been "playing out", he wouldn't have done this. She said she would "swear on a bible" that he had been walked. It was 10AM!!! I'm so pissed. Will never take my dog there again, and you shouldn't either. read more

We took our dog there and ended up leaving him overnight which was no problem with them. I appreciated that they asked to see proof of all his shots - so the place is safe and professional. Took my senior dog to be groomed. The regular groomer was on vacation so accepted a substitute. 3 hours later my dog was unable to stand up. When I called to see if maybe he had fallen I was told no but maybe just stressed & was assured he would be better the next day. 2 days later he was in ICU at the vet for 48 hrs & a bill of $2000. The salon refused to admit any responsibility. The mgr said she reviewed the camera tape of the grooming but I didn't see it & it was erased after 30 days.
