I got the opportunity to visit this spot just east of downtown Littleton and enjoyed an easy-going morning with a friend of mine. We ate: * Littleton Benedict~English muffins with diced ham, mushrooms, tomatoes, asparagus, two poached eggs covered with hollandaise sauce, and a side of two strips of bacon. Chili Rellenos~crisp rellenos smothered in green chili and cheese, two eggs on top, and with a side of two tortillas and refried beans. * Both dishes played homage to their original concepts while offering a playful twist. The veggies added great flavor and textures to the benny while the rellenos maintained a great crisp even with the green chili and yolk covering them. A friend and I stopped by while on vacation in Colorado and were delighted to enjoy this quaint café! We went on our way back from hiking Red Rocks on Father's day (6/16/24), Sunday morning, around 10am. The space reminded me of a classic diner, very iHop-esque, with a small-town feel. Though it was pretty busy, tables full, we were seated within 20mins! The menu was never ending! Choices of lunch, menu and dinner options! I was a little overwhelmed, thankfully I knew I wanted breakfast. I had a Belgium waffle, sausage links, scrambled eggs, hashed potatoes and hot tea. It was all very satisfying! Very standard meal but, at less than $15, it was well worth it. The service wasn't as intimate as expected but the cashier was super friendly and upbeat. I would return here as a regular! read more

Friendly service and decent food and prices which is why a lot of elderly folks frequent this spot. However the interior seriously needs to be professionally cleaned and remodeled. The tiny bathroom looked to have mold growing on surfaces which is not ok. The ceiling also has grease around the vents and several ceiling tiles look warped. I'd hate to look closer in the kitchen. Our whole family went out to the Littleton Café recently for breakfast and we had a great time! The ambience was very busy and happy while the help was extremely nice and friendly. They have your typical breakfast dishes nothing too fancy but I really enjoyed my eggs and toast with hashbrowns and most of all I enjoyed the price. This has nothing to do with the food, which is just IHOP-style breakfast food, no more no less. The food I put at 4 stars because how do you screw up wheat toast? That was fine. what wasn't is the mistreatment and dehumanization of homeless people. So this review has nothing to do with the food. Apparently, there is a homeless man who "harasses the restaurant". I'm not discussing whether he should have been there or not, don't care. But he's a human being and the owner (at least I think he was the owner) yelled at him aggressively in front of a room full of patrons. They called the cops and the cops weren't cruel and from inside the store, they looked like they were dealing with the homeless person humanely and professionally. Good on ya Littleton Police. Credit where credit is due. I asked the owner if he was ok and if he needed help and the owner waved him off saying "Don't help that trash". This is insane to me. Even if you really felt that way why say it in front of your customers? I heard the waitress saying that he had schizophrenia. So at the very least, they suspect a mental condition over which the person has no control over. If that's the case, why are you getting angry with them, will that help? Is that effective? or are you just taking out your frustrations with someone who has a disorder? Why don't you just take it out on someone with one arm or who is in a wheelchair? It's not their fault. So the ratings for service and atmosphere are low because of how they treat people. Their food is fine. But if my breakfast experience is contributing to the local economy and small business that's great, but I will not contribute to evil behavior. For that last statement alone, I will not be back to this restaurant. read more

The service was quick and friendly, and the food was delicious. I gave it 4 stars rather than five because it is relatively basic flavors, nothing super exciting but if you want consistent breakfast food this is the place to go. They have an extensive menu with options for everyone, and they lots of vegetarian options which is great for members of my family! I ordered the eggs benedict, and I was able to customize it how I wanted which is always a plus. The potatoes were delicious and crispy, and they kept the iced tea flowing! Drove past the red roofed Littleton Cafe plenty until today. It's a diner, with friendly staff: seating, ordering, food checking and coffee filling. I had not realized they're open from 0600-1P.M. Plenty of breakfast, and lunch, dinner choices. Hash browns were not overdone. Coffee refills for $2.50USD. Eat-n-go, or stay and enjoy. Easy bill payment from table or register: cards or cash. I've seen reviews that say it was the worst decision that they made today, and I'm gonna have to agree with that. I got the Buffalo chicken wrap which was okay at best, they put way too much sauce in it, and I got a side of fries with it which were clearly just microwaved frozen fries and after eating it I feel like shit. My Mr. Pibb had no syrup in it and it just tasted like club soda. Overall the shittiest food I've had in a long time and the chefs and servers were vaping in plain sight. read more

This place made me super nervous. I couldn't tell if it was the older men in the back cooking food with their masks under their chin and no gloves. Or the guy that picked up trash off the floor and then started serving everyone's food fo them with his mask under his nose. I just don't get it. I feel bad about giving a ma and pa place a bad review. That being said, this place was a let down. The food is awful. There's just no other way to say it. It honestly looks and reminded me of hospital food. The potatoes looked like they were out of a bag in the freezer section at the grocery store. The gravy they use is clearly instant out of a pack. Ugh! I should have known the minute I sat down. The knife had dry crusted icky-who-knows-what on it. It continued to go downhill from there. Ordered a simple breakfast--2 over medium eggs, potatoes and English muffin. The server made us feel so badly we didn't get any meat with it we ended up adding a sirloin to it. The eggs were awful I didn't even eat them. One was over hard the other was over easy. Why would they even bring them out to me like that and not even say anything about it? After bringing it to the attention of the server, he brought out two more which both were over easy. Geez! There was also so much grease on my plate I could have used it to cook half a dozen more eggs. The potatoes were what looked like way too deep fried since they were very hard and pretty cold. Not what I was expecting for seasoned potatoes. Maybe the hashbrown option would have been better? The English muffin was over toasted and pretty darn hard. Or perhaps it was hard before it was toasted? Also I didnt know the sirloin would come out like a flat hamburger! Weird as it was, that was the only thing I ended up eating in entirety. Why oh why did we have to go here as our new breakfast place to try?! It ruined what could have been a wonderful day but I ended up going straight home and spent way too much time in the bathroom instead. What a huge disappointment! I was promptly told they close at 12:30. Not the advertised hours that say they close at 1:00. I understand staffing issues, however, I was still disappointed at not being able to eat there. The staff were pleasant but we had to ask them to give uS few minutes as as soon as we sat down another waitress asked us if we were ready. Littleton Cafe is what it is. It's not pretending to be Snooze or anything of the sort. They are just a simple diner. The service was excellent and we were seated right away. The food was hearty and good. I had the Belgian Waffle Breakfast. It was very good and they accommodated my request for whipped cream on the waffle. They didn't just give me a little, they gave me a whole plate of whipped cream! It was the good stuff too. Not the fake cool whip kind of whipped cream. If you are whipped cream person, you know what I'm talking about! Prices are great too! Not too many places you can get a meal for under $10 these days. My only complaint is that I wish they had a few more unique items. Again, this is a very standard diner so the menu definitely reflects that but maybe some fun specials would be nice. Also, they close at 1pm. Would be nice if they were open just a little later so we could come after church on Sundays. But they were letting people in without masks, taking their names and putting them on the list without saying a word while those patrons stood right next to extremely old folks who where considerate enough to wear masks. The sign on the door says "No entry without a mask." One of those mask less patrons was very quickly cut off from alcohol at 11AM in the morning!!! We sat right behind the host stand and heard them talk about the guy. One of the cooks had a mask on but it was not covering his nose. Even without COVID issues this place is in real trouble if the health department comes in. One of the waitresses was eating breakfast with her hands (bacon) and then serving customers. Another was picking up a used napkin from the floor, busing tables, taking cash, and serving food with no hand washing or sanitizing. The expediter was touching his phone and texting, touching his hair, pulling up his pants numerous times and serving food to go and in the restaurant. We saw a to go order bag drop on the ground when the handle ripped. It was stuffed in another bag. The bathroom is one of the worst I have seen in years. It was disappointing because we loved not going to a hipster local restaurant and we loved the food and service but come on! They have a hand wash station and no one was using it. read more

Though the eggs were a bit too done, I couldn't fault them as the hash browns were the best I've had in a long time. I'm a potato fan, so when these are done right, you get my vote!
