    Sausage breakfast burrito
    Stacie W.

This review is for the breakfast burritos only. We've been to Mi Cocina many times for lunch and it has always been great. The service is always outstanding as was the case today. We were looking for a breakfast burrito place and really haven't found one near our new house, so we decided to check out the breakfast burritos here. I didn't get the daily special, which maybe that was the problem. The cost went up from $4 each to around $9 each. I was excited because the bag was pretty heavy so I figured I really got my money's worth. When I got them home I realized the salsa had leaked out of the to go containers because the bag was wet on the bottom. No big deal, there was still salsa in the container. Then I realized our burritos were the cause of the leak. Hubby opened his and it was more like one big taco instead of a burrito. It wasn't even close to being wrapped. I opened mine and it was a little more wrapped, but not much. It was good we were eating these at home and not on the go, it would have been a disaster. We both had to use plates and forks. I ordered hot green chile, but it was pretty mild. I'm not sure if it was the sausage or the green chile, but it was also pretty salty. Overall we were not impressed with the breakfast burritos. We are still fans of Mi Cocina, so I'm sure we will be back.

little, nondescript place in a strip mall that got ample good reviews, so i decided to try it as i was craving anything breakfasty. so they really think highly of their burritos bc you pay out the nose for mediocre (at best) food. i got a tortilla-less green chili bacon and sausage burrito, smothered in green chili with no potatoes. the host recommended 1/2 & 1/2 for the spice factor (1/2 hot, 1/2 mild). i got robbed! man, besides the slot machines, that was the biggest waste of $20 ever! there was mostly egg, i found a few pieces of bacon and a few tiny pieces of sausage and the entire dish was flavorless. i should have cried and let my tears flavor it some. it was beyond disappointing. i had planned on dining in, but moments after i sat down, dude comes out with my food in a carry away bag. so, i guess i am going to eat elsewhere. there was a park nearby and it was a gorgeous day, so i told myself "what the heck, eat out of doors and enjoy the scenery". it was much better than the meal anyway. the place was clean, pretty busy, and the only person i spoke to (host and order taker) was nice enough. will i ever go back? nope. would i recommend to friends? no would i rec to family? depends take yer $20 and throw it at a stripper. better returns there. 5 stars for effort, service and ambience, but i don't get full on that, so 1 star for underachieving performance in culinary taste and overpriced, under delivery of food.

So glad this place is around the corner from work! Lunch specials are an amazing deal, the smothered burrito with chips and salsa is delicious! My burrito was made in record time which is also a huge plus.

Watermelon marg and house marg. Both were delicious!

This is a great little restaurant! We were told that their rellenos were award winning and they didn't disappoint! I would highly recommend them. The queso was not worth $9, skip it. On Friday and Saturday they have $5 margs.

Unassuming Hideaway Offers Typical Mexican Fare At Affordable Prices Mi Cocina Mexican Restaurant is a cozy little shop off of West County Line Road in Littleton, Colorado. Interestingly, this eatery is located in the South Park Shopping Center, but you probably won't run into Kyle, Stan, Cartman or Butters. But you never know! This unassuming hideaway offers typical Mexican fare at affordable prices. What's more notable is the company's flair for technology. My waiter used a tablet to take the order and send it on to the kitchen. At the end of the meal, he tabulated and processed the bill at the table. Finally, a receipt was sent to my email. The truly amazing part is that this establishment has been doing this for the past five years. So....the next time you find yourself in South Park, check out Mi Cocina Mexican Restaurant...m'kay.

Recent price increase was too much. LOVE the service team - but management is getting a little greedy.

Combo #4 let me try a little bit of many items. The crispy chile relleno was excellent. The tamale and shredded beef enchiladas were also very good, although I would have liked more sauce in the tamale. The ground beef enchilada was just ok. I thought it was a bit bland because it lacked the flavor of the other items. Our server was good. He was generally attentive, although we did have to flag him down to order. After that, he and his colleagues checked our table regularly for more chips and water refills. Overall, only a a couple minor things that kept this from being an outstanding visit. But I don't think those kept this from being a 5-star visit. I look forward to dining again and trying more dishes.

My husband ordered the carnitas burrito and the green chile had no flavor; it literally didn't taste like anything at all somehow. I ordered carnitas sopes - let me tell you, their beans are GOOD!! - but not much here either by way of flavor either. And skip the tomatillo salsa; it is actually truly not good and opt instead for more of their red salsa. The red salsa is not spicy at all, but has a lot of really good flavor! We would go back, but not in any hurry to do so.

I ordered the quesadilla with carne asada and it came with two sides of sour cream, one mild salsa, and one hot salsa. It also came with garnish on the side of lettuce and tomatoes. The quesadilla was very good it had cheese, carne asada, onions, and some other peppers. It was not super spicy but definitely had a lot of flavor in my opinion. The cheese was extremely rich and made for a great quesadilla! The burger was very good, it came with a big side of fries that were very seasoned! The fries had a lot of salt, pepper, and other spices on it. I love salty food and thought it was perfect. But some people might think it was too much so you may want to ask light salt or no seasoning at all. The burger was very good and every bite had great flavor with the smack sauce, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and onion. I enjoyed both items that I ordered and had plenty left over to eat later. It was a little pricey as I paid $28 for the quesadilla and burger but it was reasonably priced for the portion size and quality of the food. I just expect things to be a little cheaper when it comes to food trucks. The service was very good, I had an older Hispanic couple running the truck when I visited and they were very kind, professional, and put love into the food. The ambiance is cool, I mean it is a food truck with no seating. They have some chairs outside but no table. They also sell drinks, the options that I saw were Coke and Pepsi. I would definitely give snack daddy's a try if you are around downtown Littleton and want to support this small business. I will definitely be back to try some more of the menu.
