We were cut off and they seem to arrogantly take pleasure in cutting us off. Why? We did nothing wrong! Any home owner with the same predicament, would have done the same thing, We liked Leon (the founder we think) and generally liked most of their prompt service and were shocked by their lack of understanding in this serious situation, lack of professionalism and zero empathy, four our dilemma with water pouring down to our first floor and below. We did nothing wrong, as they indicated that they would not be there for at least three hours, and with damaging water everyone know that every moment counts and damage could have been extremely bad. Our feeling is that we had no choice, but to see if another plumber could help stop the flow, and save the day! 1000 Island Plumbing came in 15 minutes!!! Solved it quickly! Whew emergency over! I waited many, many months to post this, as they used to be a Triple A company, for us over the years, with the founder always going the extra mile for us, on the various plumbing events we had. We felt nothing but good will towards them, but this seemed totally unfair on their part. We wish them well...

As most of you know my parents are retired and are in the process of placing their house on the market so they can move south to Tennessee. Things need to be done in order for the house to be placed in its best condition to ensure my parents get the best bang for their buck when it comes to the property. For the most part they have done things on their own, painting rooms, replacing floors, etc. However, given my father's age he reached out for help to deal with the siding of the roof and soffit's. This is where it gets ugly. My parents hired Top Notch Contracting to come take care of this job. Dad had some appointments out of town, so the work was left for them to handle with nobody on site. Today these guys showed up (unannounced) didn't check in with my parents to say they were on site and just started to unload their equipment. My dad went out to discuss the issues he had with the various mistakes that this "contractor" has performed. Upon the discussion Sean was IMMEDIATELY dismissive. He told my father that the work was sound, made excuses for the mess that was left behind, and tried to brush aside the various damages that had occurred from the job. When my parents attempted to bring the issues, they had with the work to Sean's attention he responded with "It doesn't matter what I did you would've bitched about it anyway". At this point I advised my father to just leave the conversation and send this "Contractor" on his way. At that point the employee Sean told me to shut up and "not talk to his boss". I informed him that he was on my parent's property and I was allowed to speak candidly. This person then stepped onto the road and said "I'm not on the property anymore come say that to my face!" Never, in my life, have I been treated so aggressively and disrespectfully by a business. I expect that kind of behavior from the teenagers at the Ice Arena but I was taken aback to have that happen in my parents front lawn from a contractor. At the end of the day I am writing this to warn everyone that: A. This company will not stand by their work and will be combative if you confront them about your dissatisfaction. B. The owner of the company allows his employees to belittle and verbally assault his customers without consequence.

I took one of the padlocks into Barkley's and asked if they could make a key for it. It was no problem for them! In about 35 minutes, I had two new keys that perfectly fit the padlock! It only cost $21.60! Few people are around who can make a key from scratch given only the lock it needs to fit! The alternative would have been finding someone to go to the camp and pick or destroy the padlock on the door. I know that would've been a much heftier fee!! Everyone at Barkley's was extremely nice and helpful. Additionally, I got to peruse the store and learn about some of the things they do that I had never thought about. It was a win, win, for me!

I requested an estimate on Friday morning. Jordan reached out really quickly, and said he could come look at 4pm that day. I had a quote Saturday morning and by that afternoon we had agreed on a time on Monday to fix it. Saturday night he reached out and said he could come at 9am on Sunday to fix my hot water tank. Even better! He showed up on time (which is rare now-a-days) and got right to work. Upon inspection of the new tank he noticed a dent, which he did not like. He drove all the way back to Watertown to exchange it and being a new one back. They were still done before noon. I now have a new go to for my plumbing and heating. Thank you for the great experience. I couldn't recommend them more I should also mention, Jordan was the only one to respond to me, and I called 3 others. I am glad I finally found someone reliable on this area.
