After an unfortunate lapse in payment for my auto insurance which was a first in over 7 years as a loyal customer of Progressive, I had my policy cancelled, and in turn my premiums tripled. Having talked to my then-insurance agent, I was told there was nothing I could do but find a new policy (with the new, much higher rates). Suddenly, I had no option but to look for new policies because of a mistake on my part, which my insurance agent should have warned me about. Having known John for years, I contacted him to see if there was any advice he could give me.
