I have been a patient at Dillon Family Dentistry for MANY years (as in multiple decades)~as a child, Dr Dillon Sr was my dentist and then his son took over the practice and became my dentist. Throughout the years I have moved away and then returned to the area and I have always returned to this practice. Since I am currently not super local, I did try going to a dentist closer to my home. The second I sat in her chair, she tried to convince me that I needed all sorts of things~invisiline, a night guard and to redo any old fillings that I have and to replace a root canal crown. I did not trust her as I felt like I was talking to a salesperson and not a dentist. This experience made me return once again to Dr Dillon for a second opinion (in which he informed me that I needed none of the above!!!) and I have been a regular patient again ever since. It is SO worth the drive to have a kind, caring dentist who I appreciate as a person and can trust with my dental care!! I HIGHLY recommend Dr Dillon and his fantastic team!!!

I can confirm the overall quality of patient care, from the receptionist to the hygienist to the dentists is poor. The staff tried to sell me expensive cosmetic procedures while I had severe pain following a failed crown, instead of expressing any empathy regarding what I was actually experiencing. The dentist managing the procedure advised me to take something like Xanax before any future dental procedures, because I was an "anxious" patient. Having excruciating pain can make you anxious. I have a hunch they save the courteous and professional act for their wealthier patients.

The dentist himself is pleasant and talkative. His staff seem all nice as well. However, I did not appreciate getting fillings when I never needed to them get done. I had only 1 cavity in my years of life and I attended this dentist's office only to "miraciously" have 11 cavities??? I had just gone to a dentist where I was studying out of state that informed me only 1 was present. He was insistent that I had to get the cavities filled ASAP. After filling and still to this day, I have issues with the tooth he filled because it protrudes too much. The dentist would watch tv and go back and forth between patients to do other procedures. So while you are in pain and frozen, you unfreeze and get to continue with pain your filling. Never again will I go here!

Michael is a great "don't fix it if it ain't broke" dentist, with a fantastic bedside manner. Friendly, outgoing, personable, and up to speed on the dental industry, this is where I go for my cleanings, caps, crowns, and all that fun stuff. No one really wants to be at the dentist, but Michael and his staff do a good job making you feel at home. I have referred several of my friends here and they are all quite happy with the service received here.
