He went above and beyond for us, and helped make our wedding perfect! He is responsive to emails, prompt, professional, and incredibly warm and friendly. He worked closely with the wedding coordinator to make sure that they had shared all the pertinent details, had a solid timeline, and generally kept things running smoothly. He even came to our rehearsal to make sure that everything would be correct the next day. For the ceremony, he actually created a song for us when we were having trouble picking recessional music; my husband and I liked the opening flourish of one song, but the main body of a different song, so Andy beautifully blended them so we could have the best of both! It was exactly what we imagined, and he provided it when we didn't even think it was possible. He was great at the reception as well. He kept the music happy and upbeat, focusing mainly on the music that my husband and I told him we liked. He also is great about abiding by the "Do NOT Play" list, if you ask him. The reception was a ton of fun, and Andy did an excellent job of keeping peoples' energy up and making people want to be on the dance floor all night. It was great! He was so patient with me when I was busy with work and that, plus his very affordable price (1k for my wedding) was why we decided to book with him. Russ told us that he would be our DJ and he sent us the suggested order of events. One thing I wish I had clarified with him more is that we had songs that were important to us that didn't get played because guest requests were taking priority, but this was a communication gap on my part. I do wish there was one or two more slow songs so I could dance more with my new husband, but it was still a great party. Russ certainly kept the party going and guests enjoyed the music and dancing. He was the epitome of perfection as a minister, he lead the ceremony and read our vows in the most meaningful and special way as though he's known us for years. It was really windy and the unity candle wouldn't light and Scott rolled with it and said that it was similar to a candle in a relationship that you have to work to keep it lit. His performance had everyone -- kids, teens, and adults -- laughing, gasping, and completely engaged the entire time. One of the things that made Robert stand out the most was how interactive his show was. He didn't just perform tricks while people watched; he actively brought guests into the magic. Several of the kids got to help with tricks, and seeing their faces light up when the magic happened right in their hands was priceless. He also invited adults to participate, which made the whole experience feel personal and memorable rather than just a typical performance. Also, these were not just the normal boring magic tricks. I have been to many Vegas Magic Shows, and in my opinion, this was better as it was more interactive and right in front of you. His sense of humor was fantastic. People are still talking about how he made one of our doctors levitate! The next occasion I had him out was Christmas with my family and kids, and he was wonderful with them. He truly made the holiday magical and was extra kind and patient with my nephew who has autism. We had so much fun with him on Christmas that we booked him for an adult only party on New Year's, and again blown away with new tricks (his book trick is out of this world). And last we had him over for a small intimate gathering, where we really truly got to see his magic up close and personal. I wanted to make it a point of detailing the different times we've interacted with Robert Ray, because he has performed across a variety of settings and has always left us wondering how he does it!
