Oh, my what a WOW experience that I want to share! I had a Cardiac Calcium Scan performed at this facility this morning and the experience was well beyond my expectations! From the time I walked in the door, until I left, I felt very special. The atmosphere when you walk in is SO very friendly with the staff laughing and smiling and helping each other (very early morning with great attitudes), happy and fun signs stating, if possible, the Cardiologist will go over your results before you leave, and he did! The front desk specialist, Dinora, greeted me and was exceptional with not only me, but the person in front of me too. I could not have coffee because of my test, so I asked her if she knew if there was a Starbucks close by that I could go to after my test, and she said oh no, you don't have to do that! I can make you a delicious expresso or we have a variety of coffee with different creamer flavors, so save your money! And I did, and it was a wonderful cup of coffee that I was able to enjoy on my drive home! I noticed the Cardiologist, Dr. Cheong, came out while Dinora was checking me in and he assisted her with a patient waiting in the lobby area - such an engaging and humble doctor to do that! The specialist that assisted me in the dressing area and the Imaging Specialist, Mr. Arena, both were so accommodating, knowledgeable, and instructive with the imaging procedure and what to expect and when. After I dressed and as I was leaving, Dr. Cheong quickly came out of an area and took me to the computer screen to show me the results of my heart test and briefly went over what all of it meant and said my doctor and I would have the total results within 24 hours, mine via my email. I was so impressed with this facility and the transparency and the open concept of all the specialist areas and I happened to mention that I may have to have an MRI within the next few weeks and being fearful of have an MRI, the MRI specialist heard me and took over to the MRI section and showed me their state-of-the-art MRI machine, not a closed tube that you are squeezed in and claustrophobic, but opened up with TV screen to watch that would inform me of what will be happening next, and the fact that her window was right there by the machine and she would be looking at me the whole time, along with a squeeze alarm mechanism if needed that could be heard by multiple people, and this assured me that this definitely the place I want to have my MRI or any other imaging test in the future. The facility is also exceptionally clean, organized, and the medical staff are all long-term specialist from Houston Methodist, St. Lukes, and Memorial Hermann. I am a senior with some newly discovered cardiac issues who just had an MRA of my brain and carotid artery done at Live Healthy Imaging. I am profoundly claustrophobic so I was very nervous about this imaging. Needless to say, I took one Valium prior to the session, but I don't actually think it would have been necessary. The entire staff made every effort to make me feel relaxed and comfortable. They supplied earplugs to help drown out the noise, they put on earphones, cuff style, and best of all played a video during the session. I watched a great National Geographic Animal documentary. I was also shown the actual images, after the session was completed, where Dr Benjamin Cheong personally showed and explained the results. He was so friendly , concerned and eager to make this experience a positive one. He certainly succeeded in every aspect. I definitely recommend to anyone needing cardiac imaging to have it done at Live Healthy Imaging. read more

I have had several MRIs and CT Scans at several different facilities the last few years for a congenital heart condition. Live Healthy Imaging is a very different experience than other clinics I have been to. Every person from the receptionist, to the imaging specialists are friendly and strive to make your experience the best it can be. Dr Cheong, is a cardiologist and reviewed with me the results of my procedures immediately after procedure completion. I received an email of the report sent to my cardiologist a few days later. Dr Cheong is involved during your procedure to ensure the best possible imaging of the areas of concern. A great MRI ? YES I just had the best experience with an MRI ever. When my doctor instructed me to go to a huge hospital downtown; my stomach filled with dread. A patient centered experience. The staff was concerned about my comfort and understanding of the imaging procedure. The staff explained everything and made sure to answer all of my questions. We were on-time. Parking was free. I appreciated the meditation room, where I could relax both before and after the exam. Had a CT Scan done today. Staff were very friendly and professional. Before the scan I was placed in a relaxation room with a heater and a chair with a back massage. Also, there was a beautiful picture on the wall to help relax with mood lighting. Dr. Benjamin(Yau Chuen) Cheong was very personable and explained the procedure along with showing me the results. The staff and doctor are very nice. The facility is extremely good. Very clean. You can even watch your favorite TV shows while on imaging process. The staff here is incredibly accommodating. I was extremely claustrophobic, and they did everything In their power to make me comfortable. Always had a smile on their face, even When I didn't. Hopefully I never have to have another mri, but this is place I will be going if I need one! read more
