Scheduling and the office manager, Dinorah, were exceptional. I firmly believe that you are not just cared for by the doctor you see but by the entire practice, and they excel at this. Dinorah placed my IV and did as painless a job as I've ever experienced with that. The person performing the MRI was awesome. He and Dinorah made sure I was comfortable. They gave me headphones and earplugs to protect my ears while the machine worked while also being able to hear the instructions regarding my breathing and the Netflix show. That's right. I was able to watch a Netflix show while the scans were performed (they took about 45 minutes), and there was a progress bar at the bottom of the screen so I could see what was going on and how much longer I had. When I didn't know what to watch on Netflix, Dinorah recommended a show, and it was highly entertaining. Despite the show, I was so comfortable that I almost fell asleep. Dr. Cheong read my scans, and since he is trained in Cardiology, he was able to talk to me about them. It was really nice to get real-time feedback and learn that there were no underlying issues causing the thing we were investigating. I'm just one of those people that have it, and this was the best news I could have received considering the circumstances. I was relieved. He was very, very thorough, showing me everything and explaining it in terms I could understand. He is caring and fantastic, and who doesn't love a doctor that loves Hello Kitty and Pokémon? Seriously, he was also patient, kind, and caring. He answered all of my questions and was very reassuring. The practice cares deeply about the comfort of their patients, and they had some nice little touches that spoke to this. They had a lavender essential oil spray that Dinorah mixed up, and they used it in the MRI room to make it a more relaxing and spa-like experience. Seriously, I felt so relaxed when I got out of there I was ready to take a nap. Also, I had to come to the appointment without having my morning coffee. When I was done, Dinorah made me an awesome espresso with biscotti. I will definitely come here the next time I need a cardiac MRI. I would come back here just to visit with everyone in the practice with whom I interacted. They are that great! I am so glad my electrophysiologist recommended them so highly. 10/10 will recommend to everyone!

My issue is with their billing practices. I had to pay for the procedure out of my pocket, on top of the copay I had already paid for my insurance, which I found odd. They assured me that they would bill my insurance and then refund me the difference. They only billed my insurance for the office visit and not the procedure. I have spoken to the office staff as well as their out of state billing staff and no one will give me the necessary information so that I can bill my insurance myself to recoup some of the money paid.

This group of professionals from registration, to MD, NP, RN, and lab could give a seminar on how to provide excellence in care to Free Standing and hospital based ER's. We were tested and prescribed prophylaxis as recommended by CDC which checked the box for standards of care as well. Healthcare treatment is a choice and as an Registered Nurse myself working over 40 plus years in critical care and ED sometimes your experience is far less than desired or standards of care. Today as a family we were lucky to choose Rice Emergency Room. We are from out of town just blindly walked in but if I lived in Houston Rice ED would be my first choice for care. She recommended the ladies at Complete Dermatology, and since they were in-network for me I figured 'hey, why not?'. The whole process was super easy! Online booking, even for new patients, and the forms are available to download and fill out ahead of time (score!). They also send you text message reminders before your appointment, and make it easy to reschedule- day for instance if you came down with the flu over the weekend and had to last-minute reschedule an early-Monday appointment. I really appreciated the easy and flexibility with the whole process. The offices are located off Washington, with lots of parking behind the building. I came early in the morning, and since there's a restaurant nearby the parking might be more difficult later on, but 9am it was wide open. a quick walk to the entrance and I was promptly greeted, checked in, and they took my crumpled up paperwork I had previously filled out and thrown in my purse. They have coffee and water in the waiting room, which is great, but I only sat there for a moment before I was called into the back. My appointment was with Dr. Megan, and she was friendly and efficient - two things i appreciate in my medical team. She completed my skin check in less time than I anticipated, made a recommendation to watch one suspect mole for 6-12 months but she was flexible when I asked to just remove it today, since I'd met my insurance deductible and I'd be 80% more expensive in 6 months. Hah! American medical care is quirky, but she helped make it work for me. The whole visit from arriving to leaving was about 30 minutes, including the one mole removal. They called me with the good news that it wasn't cancerous the very next day (whew!), so I wasn't left wondering for long, either. Easy, fast, and efficient service made my experience with Dr. Megan and Complete Dermatology a great visit. I highly recommend coming here for all your skincare needs!
