Most of the seats in the front were reserved, so I found a few available seats at the back. A regular player informed me that many people arrive 15 to 30 minutes before opening to save seats. Buy-in:I waited in line for about 30 to 45 minutes. They accept both cash and cards. The buy-in is quite expensive; to max out your machine, it costs around $160. They play 5 early bird games with a payout of $276 and 15 regular games with a payout of $300. The payout is quite low compared to the buy-in. At Don Bosco, the buy-in is $50, and they play 20 paper games with a $500 payout and 10 strip games with a $1000 payout. Crowd:The number of people is similar to Don Bosco, but most are not friendly. Verifier:The person verifying the game didn't know how to do it correctly. For the strip game, which is a double action game, you need two numbers for the B and O rows and three numbers for the I, N, and G rows. They called two numbers on each row and declared it a valid bingo. In the blazing balls game, you need a minimum of four numbers to win, but they verified a card with only three numbers and called it a valid win. You can cheat here as long as the verifier doesn't know how to verify correctly. Other places show the card on the screen for everyone to see, but not here. Caller:The caller was rude to the players. When players in the front called him out for not verifying the flash game correctly, he responded rudely. I can't imagine spending a lot of money to be treated poorly. They keep saying to be nice to the workers because they are volunteers, but I believe they should be nice to us players. We don't volunteer our time and donate our money; we are paying customers. I can't believe the players here allowed him to talk like that. Food/Kitchen:Dinner costs $15, which includes an entree and a soup or salad. The food isn't great, so I recommend bringing your own. The woman in the kitchen was grouchy. When I got a fork, she yelled at me, saying I needed to buy food first. I went back to my seat, got the cake I had bought, and showed it to her. All that hassle just for a fork. Flash Games:They played strips, 1199 flash, and 1199x2 games. You can only buy 5 and have to wait until they sell to everyone. The atmosphere was chaotic, with everyone just yelling "flash."

BiNGO was a thrill, even though we didn't end up winning any prizes. the presenters were funny and quirky and kept us on our toes. prizes included Betty White DVDs!!!...LOL... a Deluca basket, gift cards from Nordstrom and other stores, other baskets with goodies and a date night dinner with paid valet. playing bingo would be a really fun outing for the rest of my family, and the setting on the grass is cool and relaxed on these summer nights. overall, this was a fun event to go to. the only part i didn't enjoy so much was the very long wait for food. perhaps this can be alleviated by two separate food lines and extra staff to take orders and handle money. but the Americana made up for this by being so generous in the end. they brought out tons of pizza to make sure no one went home hungry. additionally, Yelp Elites had a separate shorter line for entrance into the event. at least i only had one long wait, so i am not complaining!!! in its entirety, the event put a big smile on my face and took the edge off mid-week stress.

We were actually the first ones to stand in line in the special yelp elite check in area (one of the employees walked through the line asking if there were any yelp elites here) because we were here around 5:40 pm. As the previous yelpers have already wrote about, we all got fancy swag bags with some pretty impressive loot (including candy from Sugarfina and a $10 gift card to spend, VIP dining card that will receive 15% off a small handful of restaurants at the Americana that includes a 3 hour parking validation and 12 oz water bottle). We were also treated to 3 tacos from Frida Mexican Cuisine's taco bar. As other yelpers had already mentioned, the line was crazy long for the tacos and really we should have waited in it as soon as they opened since we were at the event so early, but my husband figured the line would get shorter once the bingo game started... unfortunately that line never really did get shorter (you can read the other yelpers' reviews regarding the line). But honestly, it is all forgivable because it was their 1st night and they did not expect this large turn out. By the time we had our chance to get our tacos (one of the employees took our order and eventually brought it out to us and I think the time was around 8:15 pm), I liked my chicken tacos but husband didn't think his al pastor tacos were that flavorful. We were lucky to get a free pizza from one of the employees at the end of the night, as they told us that there weren't enough tacos to feed everyone and so they provided pizza for those who had not had a chance to eat yet (which was after the event was over, around 9 pm). Anyways, the bingo game itself was quite fun. Bingo can get crazy rowdy and fun, even with a group of strangers, lol... who knew? The hosts were a lot of fun (Bingo Boy & Betty Ball Twirler.... which by the way, the host, known as Bingo Boy is the same person from Hamburger Mary's Legendary Bingo game nights on Wednesdays). I was one of the few fortunate who actually won a prize, which I was surprised because I rarely win at any game (I scored myself a gift card). Overall, the evening was rather entertaining and made for a nice date night w/ my husband. We even got to meet a few yelpers as well and of course also saw the famous Ms. Katie B. & Ms. Nitar L (and received a hug too!). Bravo and many thanks to Katie B., Nitar L., Yelp & Americana for an amazing night. Oh and just wanted to mention that this event is not kid friendly because the hosts say some really interesting things that might not be age appropriate... so leave the kids at home with a babysitter and enjoy the evening (sangria at only $6 was an excellent deal).

Serious horse players go to the "Room" - it's next to the Chandelier room. Used to be called the Sports Book but now it's just unnamed. The clubhouse side has outdoors table seating just past the finish line. Plenty of bars and food venues throughout for those so like to walk around and visit the paddock and walking ring. When we toured the Oak Grove ceremony space and learned we'd have access to a bridal suite for the day, we were SO excited. When we first visited, Matthew and Amy showed us around. The ENTIRE country club is so beautiful, from the Oak Grove and Cypress Trees to the staircases. As we became more serious about booking and completely fell in love with the space, Silvana and Ruben were quick to respond and provided a detailed meeting and breakdown of everything. The packages were clear and informative, and they were always willing to accommodate our needs. When Cassidy took over for the rehearsal and day-of coordination, she was absolutely amazing. She was extremely responsive via email, attentive to every detail, and even addressed things we didn't think to ask about. During the rehearsal and on the wedding day, she coordinated everything so seamlessly that both our families and we felt completely at ease thanks to her calm and supportive presence. She truly cared about making our day special, and it showed in every detail. I went Saturday because they had the Dreamstate event going on and it was fire! The music was good and the crowd was hyped. I honestly think it's really cool that they're doing something like this at the night market and they should definitely keep bringing more EDM events here lol. It seemed pretty crowded compared to the last time I came, but they also had a ton of new vendors. Everything felt more spread out, so even with all the people, the lines weren't super crazy. I ended up coming back again on Sunday for the last day. It was crowded too, but nothing unbearable. We waited in line for some squid and a few other things, and I think the longest we waited was around 20 minutes, which honestly isn't too bad for the 626 Night Market. Overall, I really enjoyed coming back this year. Lots of food to try, plenty of new vendors, and adding events like Dreamstate made it even more fun. I definitely plan on coming back the next time they're around!

It is peak summer where you are able to be out in a comfortable summer night and browse what feels like any and all food there is. Previous years they always had the DJ tucked away all the way in the back but having them front and center of the event was a great call. Always have that awesome music in the background added a lot to my experience. Some of the standout thing we got was Japadog which is a wagyu hotdog that will make you rethink what a hotdog can be. We got a truffle katsu sandwich there too which is as fabulous as it sounds. Also had salt bread which was especially exciting considering I have been craving them ever since visiting Korea. Lastly, I got a fried Reece's cup which I have been in the hunt for some time since they seem pretty rare, so of course that hit the spot. Very kid friends with awe sensory activities and book reading groups. I recently started school. I enjoy a different scene from my warm bedroom especially now in the summer. Studying at this library is not as pleasant as it used to be. It smells really bad in specific areas due to many homeless people. They take up all the study tables and quiet corners. Most of them sit for hours on their phone. Some Sleep for hours. It's not as quiet as other libraries but it's quiet enough to study my online classes. I'm a bit disappointed with how the remodeled. It feels more modern than homie which is no issue just not my vibe. I don't remember the library staff allowing homeless people in when I was a kid unless they looked somewhat well kept and with better hygiene. Anyways if it weren't for the homeless people and smell this library would still be my top favorite. I prefer the signal hill library now but still Billie Jean is a close way from where I live Oh and signal hill library is open on Mondays! Which is great because I study everyday of the week. I don't mean to be mean towards homelessness people. I agree there should be more done but one reality is that not all of them care to work and most are doing drugs. I can see that being of conflict in assisting them with stability. Nevertheless, I will always remember the good memories I had at this library. I practically grew up here.

I no longer live in the state, but visit every few weeks and make sure to visit the gardens every time. I've painted these gardens over the years and will continue to do so. My favorite gardens are the Rose garden, the Japanese garden and the Chinese garden. This is the perfect date spot as well as a perfect place to walk in the morning amongst nature before the day gets too hot. The children's garden will entertain the littles and they even have a water feature on the hot days. The art pieces throughout the museums are not only beautiful but historical and should not be missed. There is a great coffee shop to grab a cup for your walk and a great gift shop at the exit. There are a couple of quick food options as well. Parking is plentiful- but make reservations! Verdict: perfection- everyone must visit this lovely land at least once in their lifetime.

Didn't think much of it as we thought it was just the half block of the street that was blocked off. But then noticed that it also took part of the plaza as well as the street across from that. I just thought it was the farmers market. These artist with their chalk skills are amazing to say the least. Taking a picture and then creating it with just chalk and showcasing it was unbelievable. Each and every artist from all ages displaying their work, from portrait to cartoon characters to photography. Walking through and checking each work out was amazing. Some were already finished while loads were still in the progress of their finished look. Even talking to them and asking what their inspiration was made the process more meaningful. In the plaza area, they had artwork for a silent auction as well as a dj. The whole place was pretty taken with artist on the ground working away. Even with the heat, it was not stopping them. The experience was great walking through and checking out what was being created. Meeting some of the artist was a nice touch to the day.
