Read so many good reviews about this place but my massage was quite disappointing. I specifically asked my massage therapist to focus on my back, neck and shoulders yet they spent less than 15 minutes on it. After about 20 minutes, I was already lying supine. I definitely felt unheard. The massage also wasn't deep enough. I wanted to focus more on specific pressure points but it felt more like a Swedish massage. Overall, I left feeling not refreshed, still sore from my workout. The massage therapist was very nice though and so was front desk service. Easy place to find, plenty of parking outside. read more

Live Love Relax is a small independently owned massage business. I had a massage with Jo and it was awesome! I've had other massages that felt more like a "one-size fits all" massage that wasn't very personalized to the individual client. I've also had massages where yes my tension areas got release but I didn't feel relaxed afterwards. With Jo however, not only did she release my tension areas, but she really customized the massage according to my body's personal needs and she was able to feel where my body needed extra attention. I had my massage appointment with Tier- she seriously was the best massage therapist I have ever had. I often get massages on vacations and have gotten quite a few in California specifically Orange and Los Angeles counties. The decor is so pretty, the atmosphere is relaxing, and all the therapists really know their stuff. I did a 10 session Rolfing series with Jillian and have also done many deep tissue massages with her before and since. The Rolfing sessions were transformative and painless. And old knee sprain injury from 1987 no longer bothers me now. And my posture, 5 months since the series ended seems permanently changed for the better and my alignment and comfort doing yoga is much improved. Every massage session, which is what I usually do now, Jillian hones in on areas that will benefit from her work, she is very intuitive about finding knots and tense areas and helping the tensions release with various techniques, and she is great about asking for feedback about what is working and how much pressure and time on an area feels right. All the session I do with Jillian have helped both with physical ailments and to reduce anxiety and depression. I am looking forward to working with her over the holidays and I highly recommend her as the most professional, talented and skilled body worker I have ever worked with. I think her skills in Rolfing and experience teaching at the Rolfing Institute in Colorado help her know the latest techniques and how to be able to do deep tissue work painlessly. My friend also goes to Alejandro, and he has helped her neck improve so much that she is able to dance and do hip hop again, which she had give up, due to pain, for over a year. A wedding day massage is an absolute necessity for all brides moving forward! I added on a one hour chair massage the week of my wedding, super last minute, and it was the best thing I did! My stepmom did 30 minutes and I did 30 minutes but you could easily do 10-20 minutes per girl. It set up the entire day for success. Not only did you get to relax, but it was the first time that day that I sat in silence and really thought about the day ahead of me and took in all of the moments I was about to have. They bring their chair, scented oils and flowers and really set the mood. My only regret is not hiring them for the morning after the wedding to take care of my husband and I after the long night! read more

He even gave me instructions on stretches I can do at home to help alleviate some of my pain. You can tell that she has had extensive training in many techniques. I had the privilege of having Alejandro massage me for years in Boulder CO. I truly miss him. The first time he worked on me, and specifically on knots in my neck and shoulders, I asked if he had physical therapy training because his ability to work into and stretch out my tightness was akin to a physical therapist's approach. My massage with Jillian was so helpful and relaxing! I have had this chronic nagging neck pain on and off for a few years now. It was really acting up so we just focused on that area for the session. For our February 2020 wedding, we were lucky enough to have Live, Love, Relax come during our getting ready time to Woodbine Mansion and provide chair massages for our family and friends. They were so accommodating with the time frame and their setup is such a small footprint we easily fit them in the same space as everyone hanging out! We easily worked them into the schedule for the day and everyone was so excited to get a quick moment of quiet time/relaxation before a big night. These folks do serious massage for serious people. I had to find a new massage therapist as my therapist of two years has left the Veteran's Administration. I tried a few chain places around town and they just don't cut it. I found Live Love Relax via Yelp and decided to try them out. I really had nothing left to lose at that point. The intake interview was short and to the point. It focused more on my needs and history rather than what they were selling. The office was pleasant (more like my Primary Care Physician's office rather than a "spa"). It is noteworthy that the interview was done by the therapist rather than a front desk person. The massage itself was exactly as it should have been. I need Deep Tissue work due to injuries and I got that in spades. It hurt. It should hurt. It was focused and muscle layer intense. The therapist worked her way downward into the muscle rather than across the top; that is important if you are seeking true therapy. I have no knowledge of their lighter work as of yet; but I need therapy, not a "Swedish" type of massage. If you can do Deep Tissue correctly you can do any other type easily. They are working to establish themselves as a CHOICE Provider for Veterans too. That is a plus for me. All in all I left feeling I had a professional massage by a well trained therapist. I hurt terribly the next day which a sign of a real Deep Tissue therapy session. I will go back. These people are serious about what they do. I need and want that. The prices are very reasonable and I intend to use them as a permanent solution to my prescribed massage therapy. read more
