I realize and expect a certain amount of head aches when I build, therefore I was pleasantly surprised with the overall job done by Whilshire/Plantation Homes in Parkside. When faced with the normal hic cups one sees when building their representatives were not only attentitive but professional. The few items we experienced were taken care of in a quick manner, and I am over all pleased with the experience. I have to give special Kudos to Sheryl Santos, the sales agent at Parkside. Not only was she informative, but she actually listened to my concerns, and advocated for my behalf the few times when I felt something was not the way I had hoped. Sheryl was professional well informed and one of the hardest working individuals I have ever encountered. We had started with another agent, who left earlier in the process and she stepped in and didnt miss a beat. She was more than a sales person but someone who clearly understood her job, and takes great pride in customer satisfaction. We closed in December and since have had two minor items that needed tweeking. Both were taken care of promptly and I have to point out that one was really user error on my part. ( We all know how it is at the last walk through, as my wife often points out I was being a man and not really listening) This has been a wonderful experience I live in a great neighborhood. We first went to Paloma Lake and Briana very knowledgeable. Briana showed me all the homes and floor plans and the best price per sq ft homes. The community is beautiful and has a lot to offer. Briana pointed me to a plan that had a lot of architectural appeal, and after viewing it, I was sold. We ended up choosing that plan but decided to build it at Parkside at Mayfield in Georgetown off Sam Bass Rd. This is closer to Cedar Park and everything we need to be close to. Parkside at Mayfield is an amazing community and is just next door to Williamson County Park. This is where Sheryl Santos comes in. :-) Sheryl is the sales rep at Wilshire at Parkside Mayfield. Wow, words cannot say enough about how she goes that extra mile to research her customers needs and wants. We chose a plan that has not been built Parkside and we requested many customs that are not even on the list to choose from. Sheryl would go from Parkside to Round Rock to take measurements, pictures, to make sure all the specs were noted. We got the house and customs we wanted, she sold her first Aspen at Parkside Mayfield. Phase 2 Deco/Design Center: Danielle at the design center was great but the cost of the upgrades were outrageous. Picking the brick: I found one in my existing neighborhood by Hansen but it wasn't on the list to choose from. I was asked to go look in the Parkside neighborhood only to find there were other homes built with brick not on the master list. That being said, I asked Danielle to inquire if I could add Hansen Western Sage to our home and she followed up Wilshire to come back with an answer of "No". I called Hansen directly and found out that Western Sage was less expensive than some of the Hansen brick choices on the master list and it was even local here in New Braunfels. I my Realtor and Sheryl to follow up and it was like pulling teeth to get it approved. Deco/Electric appointments are all completed. Yes, you will need a blood transfusion after you complete the Electrical & Deco appointments. ;-) Danielle and the electrician were wonderful. Danielle went out of her way to come up with designer tile patterns, etc, but it came down to being more cost affective to do these upgrades our selves. Phase 3 Meeting with Construction Project Manager: We had a meeting with Nick and Sheryl to review the blueprint, options and customs that were taken from the Aspen at TeraVista's spec home. Nick is building the same plan for himself. We look forward to working with Nick and Sheryl during the upcoming build-out phase. Phase 4 Build-out: This has turned into a nightmare. Customs additions are not built to TeraVista specs. Escalations have taken place and a meeting has been setup with Samuel for Tuesday, 4/9/13 for resolution (Samule is a Project Manager Sheryl Santos reports into).
