The grounds are perfect for reflection, laughter, or meditation. I've stayed in two of the rooms over visits and when I say the rooms are clean, I mean not a speck of anything to be seen. I work in the Maid Service industry so if I can't find dust, spills, etc, well that is as perfect as it gets. Peggy is the very nicest you'll ever find for a host and the whole town of Utopia mimics true hospitality. I don't want to leave and I can't wait to come back!

My husband and I stayed in one room, and our daughter stayed across the hall. Both our rooms were lovely and comfortable, each with its own bathroom. Breakfasts were a-m-a-z-i-n-g. The Sabinal River is a beautiful spring fed Texas river, clear and green, with a rock bottom. Bend o' the River even let us use their golf cart to drive the couple of hundred yards to their river access, which even has steps into the water. Peggy and Ron were fabulous hosts. We discovered the King William Manor's "Stonehouse" on VRBO and made a decision to stay there for our entire vacation. First off, Allison, with whom we dealt primarily, was very helpful. Not only did she help us with the rental by ensuring everything was ready upon our arrival, but she was incredibly useful by providing us lots of good tips on how to get around and where to eat. The Stonehouse, itself, was just what we were looking for: a chic, stylish home away from home that was also highly functional, clean, ideally located, and not overly pricey. Add the adjacent pool and it was a no-brainer to stay here. Allison and Craig have obviously put a lot of time and effort into renovating this home. Although it looks very unassuming from the outside, it boasts a lot of nice touches inside such as new paint and tile, new granite countertops, a nice HD flatscreen TV, huge master bath, new washer and dryer, and some pretty posh furniture options. It was perfect for me and my wife, along with our daughter and my 74 y/o father. Everything works and the house is/was immaculate. WIFI is fast and reliable. A nearby HEB grocery store is only .5 miles away if you need groceries. Numerous trendy cafes, bars, and restaurants line S. Alamo street upon which this house is situated. Two nearby VIVA bus stops make getting around SUPER easy and cheap. The southern end of the famed River Walk is a five minute walk away. Street traffic is minimal and generally quiet. We all slept well during our stay, especially since the provided beds and linens are so comfortable and soft. Seriously, this place is a hidden gem. It is perfect for a small family or two couples wanting to visit San Antonio. Centrally located to River Walk, Tower if the America's, and numerous dining options (I strongly recommend Rosario's, just up the street), Stone House is a perfect San Antonio vacation rental property.

The lodge we stayed at was very cozy and the bead was super comfortable. This place was well kept and extremely clean. I wasn't sure were I was going to find my caffeine in the am but Becky had a variety to choose from and it was just right outside the bedroom door. Score!! The breakfast was very good, served fresh and hot. After our plates were given to us and she was going to head out to give us our privacy, we enjoyed her company so much that we asked her to stay and visit. We will definitely be coming back to stay here anytime we are in the area. Becky, thank you so much for the Bed and breakfast experience and we hope to see you again sometime.

After a good night's rest we were treated to a yummy county breakfast. There were always Becky's homemade flaky biscuits with her special jelly accompanied by a different menu daily, always including fresh eggs she had collected that morning. The bathroom lights flickered downstairs, the bathrooms had numerous moths or some type of flying winged insect in them, one downstair's bathroom had a wet floor by the toilet which may have been from a leaky toilet or pipes under the floor. The numerous flying insects were to me an indication that there was something wrong underneath the surface. The flying insects were seen day and night.

After hearing that they are well known for their little B&Bs this one stood out among the rest for our weekend trip. We were going to be visiting on our 15th anniversary and lucky for us they still had some Saturday night reservations a few weeks before our trip. We originally had the Evening Star reserved but a lovely woman from the reception reached out to us upon seeing our reservation and asked if we wanted to be upgraded to the Weber House - for no additional charge! This was an absolute yes! What a nice gesture since they knew it was our anniversary - based on the questionnaire during check out. Some of the buildings are split with multiple room offerings- like the main hall- the Weber House however we stayed in was just us. We had a cute porch, living room, kitchen, bedroom, hugeeee bathroom with clawfoot tub and a screened in outdoor porch. Some of the bigger houses you can rent have room for multiple people but ours was intended for 2 people. They also have a cute library with some books and DVDs you can borrow. The property itself was VERY quiet. When we arrived we checked in at the little office upfront. The girl working even walked us to our little house since we had never been on the property before. Whoever stayed at the house the night before had broken the glass on the little table in the kitchen which was a bummer, so we could not use that, and maintenance was off on weekends. But otherwise it was the cute quaint place. Bed was comfy, central AC even though the buildings themselves pre-date that. Each one is unique too! We especially liked sitting on the screened in porch at night and enjoying a bottle of wine. In the morning they promptly left breakfast in a basket at 9am at our doorstep that was home cooked. It was a very sweet inn.

Off the highway, down a narrow, winding paved road, onto a gravel road to seemingly nowhere, past goat ranches, llamas, and beautiful vistas to finally reach the gate and see three lovely little cabins. The hummingbird hideaway where we stayed is cozy, clean and inviting. The front porch is great for sitting, watching the hummingbirds and having s cup of coffee. Breakfast is served at 8:30, and is routinely on time and delicious, even accommodating gluten free diets. The owners and their small children are delightful, but remain out of the way unless needed ( or delivering breakfast). There's a TV in the room. I assume it works, but I never had the desire to turn it on and spoil the solitude. The B&B is within easy driving distance to all sorts of parks, refuges, LBJ's home, Fredericksburg, nice restaurants, wineries, distilleries and breweries. You won't lack things to do if you venture away from the B& B.
