My daughter and I recently visited the San Antonio Glasshouse, as she is in the very early stages of searching for a wedding ceremony and reception venue. Driving up to the venue, it was nice, but it didn't have quite the "wow" factor that the online photos and videos had led us to expect but it was the customer service that was the biggest disappointment of our visit. We had a scheduled appointment to tour the venue with a staff member. Throughout our entire meeting, she remained seated and wore sunglasses the majority of time. She never offered to walk us through the property or show us the different areas of the event space. Although she had printed pricing sheets sitting in front of her, she initially told us that all of the pricing was available online. While that is true, my daughter eventually had to ask for one of the printed sheets that was already on the table. Since we are just beginning the planning process and had not yet selected a wedding date, we understood that an exact quote could not be provided. However, that should not have prevented us from receiving a proper tour of the venue and learning more about what it has to offer. I eventually asked if I could walk to the ceremony area in the back of the property. The GlassHouse Staff Member said I could, but she did not accompany me or provide any information about the space. As I walked through the ceremony area, I realized it simply wasn't the atmosphere or experience we were looking for. We drove a considerable distance specifically to tour this venue, so the lack of engagement and hospitality was disappointing. A venue tour should leave prospective clients excited and inspired. Instead, we left feeling like our appointment was an inconvenience. During our conversation, the staff member also mentioned that the venue is already booking events into 2028. Congratulations on your success--that certainly speaks to the venue's popularity. However, every prospective client deserves the same level of attention and professionalism, regardless of where they are in their planning journey. Based on our experience, this is not the venue we will be choosing for our daughter's wedding/reception. read more

The wedding staff was unorganized and the DJ who was part of the staff was rude and very unprofessional (he dpea not know how to hide his frustrations in his face/body language). There are multiple reviews on Google mentioning the poor management of available slots by the owner, and I experienced the same issue. I originally requested the PM slot on November 2nd for our baby shower for our first child. People were coming from Uvalde, so it was also a perfect location. I repeatedly confirmed its availability. However, after touring the property and asking for the contract, the owner, Sean, texted me to say he was wrong due to "technical difficulties" with their calendar. This is hard to believe since I'm not the first or second person this has happened to. He then told me that the PM slot on November 9th was available, to which we agreed. Minutes later, he called to say that wasn't available either due to the same calendar issues. Why didn't he double-check the availability when he realized November 2nd was booked? I've planned nonprofit galas for over 300 people, poker tournaments, and many events for film festivals. This situation is absurd and extremely disappointing. We loved the property but were ultimately let down by the poor management. Listen to the bad reviews. I gave them the benefit of the doubt since they were "new," but you can only use that excuse so many times for continuous mistakes. read more

I attended a toddler event at the SA glasshouse and was amazed on the hospitality the owners/employees showed along with the great event! My 2yr old and 10month old loved all the activities, snacks, and treats that were being handed out! We had a great time and are looking forward to other events being held there for the community! Maybe even host our own in the future! For being under a year old, we were amazed by the hard work, decor and future plans being put into a neighborhood place! Excited for their future! read more

It was a beautiful, clean venue. Loved the acoustics and the aesthetic of all the lights at night.

Be very careful with this place. They are all related all the way to security and fire marshal that were present at the event. Place was a mess and water turned off to all restrooms and kitchen. After we complained they called in for backup with two extra deputies. One was overheard calling a unit parked outside, "they are drunk he's walking her outside". This place is a trap with multiple people involved and should be exposed. Do not book this place it's a bad business.... read more
