I'm a new patient as of mid February and this is my FIRST time ever receiving chiropractic treatment and OMG what a difference it has made. I used to get severe migraines and so much neck and lower back pain. Harry Brewster, massage therapist at Livewell Chiropractic, is amazing! He's extremely intuitive, and always seems to get the pressure just right for my deep tissue massages. More than that, he is somehow always able to find and work out tension and knots that I didn't know I even had. I've been going to see Harry for over a year now and he never lets me down. Scheduled a massage for 6pm on a Monday. Door was locked upon arrival and made it seem like it wasn't open. Also a little sketchy with only me and the male massage therapist present. I was taken back to the massage room 15 minutes late for a 90 minute massage. I've had a lot of massages, and I'd rate this one a 7/10 because of 1) very light pressure on my back and 2) head therapist's phone kept dinging every 15 minutes. It was an overall unusual kind of swedish massage I experienced, and I didn't really feel less tense after. I did enjoy the aromatherapy and midtown alliance discount. I never even knew I had issues with my spine until a friend recommended I see a chiropractor due to some long term medical issues I was experiencing. Dr. Shoshana performed a preliminary physical exam of my back, posture, and took x-rays first before saying anything about what is happening with my body. She showed me what was happened and we discussed a maintenance plan to correct my neck, spine, and overall posture as a means to get back to a healthy state. I've been seeing her for over a year and I feel 100% better! My neck and spine are slowly adjusting to the position they should be in (I was a mess), and more importantly because of her constant education, I am consciously aware and correcting my posture. You will be wowed by the luxurious interior, but it's telling that they have the most gorgeous interiors of any Chiropractic office in Atlanta. I met with the Chiropractors, and they are very nice and friendly. But they would not give me a quote on my treatment cost and insurance until I had experienced a week's worth of treatment. That meant I had incurred over $250 in fees before I was even told how much I would pay for the first visit. When I was told how much I owed, the doctor explained they do not accept any insurance as an approved provider. I wish I had known that when I called and asked, BEFORE my first visit. If they do not work with my insurance, they would know that and should be up front at the very beginning. Instead, they made it seem like they did not know and that the insurance specialist was working hard to get me a quote and it was the insurance company that was to blame. They also offer no form of therapeutic massage. I can get much better adjustments, a no-nonsense quote, and massage from my current doctor, and they are nicer. If you want to pay WAY more than you need to pay, feel free to go here. Your hard-earned cash will go towards the Interior Design they are known for. As for me, I am much happier going to a small, casual Chiropractor that offers more services at a much better price. read more

I was in Piedmont Park last year and Dr. Shoshanna had a booth set up at the Green Market. I stood on her platform and closed my eyes and she moved strings around to show the positions of various parts of my body. I was quite surprised that I weighed more on one leg than the other (obviously I don't stand properly), my shoulders were different heights as were my hips. Basically I was a mess but I didn't do anything until yesterday when I fished her card out and went in. She took x-rays that showed I actually fractured my spine at some point in the past, my head is off to one side and my spine to the other. As a runner, I know this lack of balance has to be hard on my knees and hips and ankles. Further than that though, the squeezing of the nervous system components that spew out from between each vertebrae can apparently have some rather dire results. Catching this stuff earlier than later seems to be a good idea. The Doc has a wonderful table side manner and really does seem concerned about my health as opposed to my wallet. I can't give 5 stars yet since I've only been in twice....but so far so good. Go get fixed! read more

I have been going to Dr. Kristy and Dr. Shoshana for fifteen years (followed them from their former location to their new location) and would not think of going anywhere else. I have scoliosis and chronic back/neck pain that has been completely relieved with their care. I am now completely functional and pain free whereas previously I did not have full range of motion in my neck and my lower back was in chronic pain to the point where I couldn't do normal daily tasks. With their care not only am I pain free but I can fully and optimally function, both physically and mentally. They've changed my life and I am forever grateful for that. I am a skeptic about many things, and chiropractic was always on that list. Years ago, I developed plantar fascitis while working in retail, and I decided to try it (different place). It helped, but then I wasn't able to afford going so regularly, so I stopped. Fast forward to 2008. Plantar fascitis is back with a vengeance (some days I cannot walk without massive pain), and the podiatrist has recommended surgery. Sorry, but I can't be off my feet that long. Livewell is just down the street from me, and a good friend of mine recommends them, so I mosey in. Everyone is very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. The facility is very clean, too. I get my initial exam and am not surprised that I am a member of the walking wounded. I am still skeptical as to how much it will help me, but I bite the bullet (the price tag was quite high) and sign up for care. I am immediately impressed with the level of care I receive. Dr. Kristy and Dr. Shoshanna are professionals, and explain what they are doing every step of the way. They answer questions, and seem to really enjoy the work they are doing. I can tell they care about their patients. Surprise, surprise, but within a few months, my heel pain is completely gone. I resumed playing softball, and it doesn't flare up. I am amazed, still. Of course, I recognize other benefits, too. Though it was more than I wanted to spend, the results were remarkable, and obviously what I needed. It is worth every penny, IMO. I too found Live Well Chiropractic at the local green market in Piedmont Park on Saturday. I had started having some chronic back pain and had been told by a chiropractic screening before that I had some major imbalances in my stance. I did the screening again with Dr. Shoshana and not shockingly found that I still was unbalanced. She offered a great deal for my first visit, evaluation and x-rays that I could not pass up. They found that I have a bone spur in my spine as well as numerous other subluxations (if you want to know what that's all about, you should head in to talk with them!). I've been treated for several months now and my chronic back pain is gone, I've gained height and I just feel better overall-more energy, heightened immune system and a better attitude about life. Drs. Kristy and Shoshana are professional, experienced and wonderful. They run a great business that is aimed at improving health and well-being. I live up the street from this bright purple building and have wanted to make an appointment for a while due to my chronic and consistent lower back pain. I finally did, and it was one of the best decisions I've made in a while! Dr. Shoshanna totally saved me when I was having neck problems last summer. I was only in Atlanta for a short while and sometimes I get really terrible anxiety when starting a new job in a new city, without friends or family around me. I carry stress in my neck and shoulders and had chiropractic treatment before but was kinda slacking leading up to the relocation. Seven years ago, I gave up a 10 year career as a professional violinist because of chronic pain. I would leave rehearsals with a numb left arm and excruciating pain in my neck and shoulders. I assumed I would never be able to play again. And then a good friend introduced me to Dr. Kristy & Dr. Shoshanna. My x-rays were truly amazing (and not in a good way). My neck was curved the wrong way with the vertebrae completely smashed together; my back was twisted; my left shoulder was ridiculously higher than my right.
