I have no idea why this office has good reviews. I used to like seeing the dentist until I came here This is my family's account but i felt obligated to talk about my experience. I was referred for a root canal by my regular dentist earlier this year. The root canal office they normally refer to was booked so I found this office because it was close by. When I arrive for my appointment there is no one at the front desk so I sit down and wait for about 10 minutes before a dog comes to greet me. I love dogs, don't get me wrong, but it seems a little unsanitary and unprofessional to have an unleashed dog in a dental office. Who knows if she sheds and her fur is in the air going into people's mouths! I later heard people even talking about her biting others. 45 min after my scheduled time, Dr. Steven Williams comes into the room without introducing himself and is basically out of breath. He looks at my X-rays and says I need some work done but it's not even the tooth that's bothering me! I don't think he read any of the paperwork. He starts talking down to me about flossing and bad previous dental work I have in my mouth, all while using inappropriate words. I was speechless. I decide to have him do the root canal because I've been in pain for so long and do not want to wait any longer. Looking back, I should've just waited. This was the longest and most uncomfortable experience. He was incredibly aggressive and made every part of the procedure painful and almost barbaric. I've had another root canal a few years ago and it was nothing like this. After almost 4 hours in the chair with him jumping around seeing other patients, we are finally done. To my surprise he completed 2 other procedures that the front staff is billing me for. No one told me or quoted me for these and I never signed for them. I'm pretty sure billing me for these is illegal but it is definitely unethical. 3 weeks after the procedures and I am still having pain in the area. Dr. Williams just prescribed a lot of medications but nothing has helped. I decided to go to the original root canal office that I was referred to and they helped me fix the pain. Having had extensive dental work throughout my life and a lot of experience at the dentist, I can't express enough how much I appreciate Dr. Steve and his team. During my recent root canal, I experienced almost no pain, and Dr. Steve took the time to ensure everything was treated thoroughly and correctly. He even walked me through what was happening with my teeth and pointed out areas that will need attention in the future. It's been over 24 hours since the procedure, and my teeth feel just fine. I also had a root canal done by him several years ago, and it's still holding up perfectly. I saw two dentists here but ended up with "Dr Steve" as I needed an extraction. Also got a bone graft and implant placed. Dr Steve and his staff were very professional and caring and helped to maximize my dental insurance benefits. The procedure was a LONG one but thanks to his skill I was comfortable from 9am - 1pm in the chair. The out of pocket cost was surprisingly low from what I expected for this level of work. (Still a pretty penny, but the staff helped me get my portion on a zero interest care credit plan) And because this is the first thing I search for: THIS OFFICE OFFERS NITROUS OXIDE anesthesia for procedures! I was in La-la land for most of my time LOL. I recommend this office if you need any major dental work done that your general dentist cannot handle. read more

i left this establishment in tears. no one was warm, friendly, nice, or cared for formalities. I was referred to this establishment to get a second opinion and second x-ray on a problem tooth. the only positive thing i could say about this establishment was they fit me into their schedule last minute for said x-ray. i met with someone and expected to have an x-ray taken of my tooth and to be told their opinion on what steps I should follow next. Instead, they took one look into my mouth and then turned on the television above me and grabbed a camera, the camera feed was then shown on the television. he proceeded to point to the opposite side of my mouth where the tooth I was expecting to be examined was, and gave me the most disrespectful flossing lesson i have ever received. he flossed my tooth aggressively and was not gentle at all. he did so until my gums bled and did it over and over again until he finished talking. i was in so much pain. i had just come from my actual dentist appointment and knew plenty of information about flossing correctly, this was extremely un-needed. during the floss, he also pinched my lip causing more pain. was overall extremely rough the whole time. after this, he then proceeded to finish out the appointment and sat behind the chair i was in. having to crane my neck to even look at him, which felt unprofessional as id like to look at the person giving me vital information. at last, no vital information was even given because i did NOT receive the x-ray i came in for! all i got was a rude, power-trip floss lesson. upon arriving they give the patient online "paperwork" to fill out. one of the questions on there was asking if there were any negative past dentist experiences or if the dentist caused any sort of anxiety for the patient. they surely had not reviewed my information before seeing me. imagine clicking yes thinking you are about to get an accommodating, positive experience, different from past ones or anxiety-inducing ones, and leaving with a worse one! the entire time i felt like i was being talked down to. leaving, the front desk said to check out and pay for the the "total" for the "x-ray" i received. which is hilarious because i didn't even receive one! the whole reason i came in. i left with tears in my eyes from the pain of the flossed tooth and no more information than what i came in with. this felt extremely unacceptable. read more

I wouldn't go back. I had a bad root canal experience where one Dr let all the bleach type chemicals fall to burn the back of my throat throughout the procedure. Had burns in my throat that needed an antibiotic rinse I had to buy. Then for the next steps of my treatment the other Dr only seemed to care about cramming patients into the schedule and didn't care about you or your life schedule or how long you'd be there. I was there so long he kept leaving to go see other patients and each time he came back he would inject me again and again where if he'd concentrate on one patient at a time this wouldn't need to happen. And they like to "estimate" and then send you additional bills. For what I paid I'd expect much better service and treatment. Again I would not return. read more

Long story short, He actually said about our very, scared 9 year old, "Your boy needs to grow up." Somehow doesn't think that's rude, "It's true isn't it?" he asks. Bedside manner... The worst. I guess for my son to "Grow Up" was his professional medical opinion. Oh yeah,... BTW, his referral was specific for an EVALUATION for possible root canal. General Anesthesia suggested. He didn't read the order, and went ahead to begin the procedure. Even though it was for a root canal, he started to redo the filling. Not what we wanted, expected, or approved. Update: I was contacted by this office regarding this issue. I was extremely busy and didn't want to hear what I felt would be a ' canned apology .' I'd paid the monies. I was surprised. Dr. Harley did apologize, and I felt the apology was honest and sincere. She explained that my experience was not the norm for her office. She explained what happened and advised that my account would be thoroughly reviewed. She also informed me of steps put in place to correct the situation. Well, about 7 months ago we tried to save a molar with a root canal treatment. The surprise was there were four roots - one was hiding on the X-ray. Dr. Steve got 'em. But now it was giving me trouble, likely an infection. So after waiting for it to "settle down" (it didn't), back to Dr. Steve. I knew what was coming: extraction. I was very tender of course after the extraction, but the meds worked fine. Maybe I have a tolerance to pain, but I really didn't need meds after day two very much if at all. But I took a lower dose to take the edge off. Looking down the road, he had some videos which explained how, if I decided, an implant could replace this molar, and what would be done to prevent piercing into the sinus cavity. I needed a root canal and found that Dr. Williams was within my insurance network. I called and the receptionist was so nice and was able to get me in right away. I thought I was only going to have a consultation but Dr. Williams said if you don't mind waiting 20 minutes I can see you today!! The care and attention they gave to me was extraordinary!! I was the last client of the day. The office closes at 5 but I didn't get done until almost 7 pm. I never felt rushed or that I was a bother. The receptionist who helped me on the phone was still there to help me at the end!! She was a very sweet person. I whole heartedly recommend Dr Williams. I was suppose to have my tooth extracted and have an implant by another dentist but I decided to have Dr. Harley do the procedure instead. During my consultation with Dr. Harley she had Dr. Steve look at my x-rays and my tooth which he then decided to do a root canal instead, but not on the tooth that was suppose to be extracted but on a different tooth next to it. I am so glad I went with Dr. Steve because he performed the root canal with no problem, he was very gentle throughout the procedure, I was definitely in good hands. I saved a tooth from being extracted by deciding to go to them. I highly recommend them both for all your dental needs. Everyone at the office is so nice and friendly. You won't regret it! I found Dr. Williams on the internet when an emergency dentist told me I needed to see an endodontist. Given that the website has a section for anxious patients, I decided to give him a try - and I'm SO happy I did! First of all, Dr. Williams quickly diagnosed a cracked tooth that was pushing on a nerve that two previous dentists missed. He recommended a root canal and a small filling. Also, he is a calm and caring guy who is sensitive to my anxiety and request that I be sedated. I've had doctors and dentists in the past who didn't take my anxiety seriously and refused to sedate me for necessary procedures, but that was not the case with him. Today I had my procedures done and I honestly could not have asked for a better experience. I was so nervous but everyone was so kind and put me at ease. Once I was taken back, I was hooked up to monitors and given a pill (Halcion) and nitrous. My biggest worries were getting shots and not being sedated enough. I had traumatic experiences getting shots from my childhood dentist but for some reason, the shots were not as bad as I expected when Dr. Williams gave them - probably due to my taking a Vicodin an hour before and his using a numbing gel. As for the sedation, I was not "put under" but comfortable to the point that I fell asleep. In addition to the Vicodin that I was prescribed last week, I also got some ibprofeun on the way out. Finally, the staff is awesome - Sandy, Tammy, the dental assistant (sorry, I didn't get her name, but she let my stuffed koala stay on my lap), and Dr. Harley Williams (who interviewed me about my health history and checked in on me throughout the procedure). I'm still numb but very happy that my experience was not as traumatic as i would have imagined! Not only would I go back if needed, but I would recommend Dr. Williams and the team to everyone! read more

I've been under a lot of stress lately resulting in a lot of grinding and clenching. I developed a large cavity in my back molar and dentist wasn't sure if it would be a root canal (save the tooth!) or an extraction and implant. I was referred to Dr. Williams and was able to make an evaluation appointment within a few days. At the evaluation appointment he was honest about the possibilities and provided all information I could have asked for. His team scheduled me for a root canal the same afternoon (still hoping to save the tooth). I've never had a root canal, so I was nervous. Dr. Williams and his team were efficient and informative every step of the way. The root canal was conducted and Dr. Williams made sure I was comfortable (movie was playing during a portion) and that I had all I needed, including information for post-care and follow-ups. I had been dealing with a tooth issue that I avoided getting taken care of until it was absolutely necessary because I have a severe fear of dental work. Two weeks ago I came into the office in pain, crying an embarrassing amount, because I was afraid. From the moment i walked in the door, I was treated with so much kindness and understanding. The women at the front desk not only reassured me, but both came back to check on me throughout my visit. Everyone treated me with so much dignity, and never made me feel embarrassed for my fear. Not only did they manage to squeeze me in at the last minute, but the office stayed open so I could be treated the same day. The work was done painlessly, and the recovery, while not super fun, has been easy. I have my follow up appointment tomorrow, and for the first time since I was a kid, I'm not filled with fear. This was the most fun I've had during a dental procedure! Staff was friendly and engaging. Facilities were beautiful and clean. But... Doctor Williams is incredible. Obviously extremely knowledgeable and practiced in endodontics. After the numbing process, he turned on Seinfeld to keep me occupied.
