We changed dentists this year to Livewell, based on the presence of high-end teeth cleaning capability at the practice, location, and being in network for our insurance. The dentist (Dr Chris Kim) recommended proactive placement of crowns on two of my wife's teeth. She agreed, but he stopped the procedure in mid-grind and recommended extraction. We declined and obtained an independent opinion from a trusted specialist we had used previously, which he did not take well. Our specialist believed the tooth could be saved and had to perform extensive, painful crown-lengthening surgery to allow eventual placement of the crowns because of how far Dr Kim had ground down the tooth. Dr Kim strongly discouraged consultation with providers outside his own preferred referral network and provided mixed messaging and passive-aggressive responses throughout the process. We were also disappointed that he scheduled a last appointment only to inform my wife that he would not complete the crown work, wasting her time. Based on our experience, we would not return, even for teeth cleaning, and strongly recommend against this practice. read more

I've been going to the Lanzaro practice for nearly 15 years and was happy to see its good work continuing under the new leadership of Dr. Chris Kim. Dr. Kim reviewed my charts, took more Xrays, identified issues with teeth and developed a long term healthcare plant. This is not a "temporary patch up" place, they fix your teeth to serve you in the long-term. I recently needed 2 new crowns on my teeth. Dr. Kim and his hygienist took extra care of me, I felt NO pain at all, in fact, I feel asleep in his chair :). New crowns look AWESOME, as if they were the teeth I was born with.
