Warning: Do Not Recommend - Botched All-on-4 ProcedureRating: I am writing this to warn others considering Lorton Town Dental (9010 Lorton Station Blvd #135, Lorton, VA) for major procedures like All-on-4 dental implants. My experience here has been an absolute physical and financial nightmare. Critical Issues Faced:Severe Pain Management Neglect: During a single session, they extracted all of my teeth and placed four titanium posts in both my upper and lower jaws. They refused to prescribe any pain medication, instructing me to use only Tylenol and Ibuprofen. Because of my history with decaying teeth, I have a high tolerance to over-the-counter pain relievers. Even my primary care physician was shocked by their refusal to manage post-surgery pain and stepped in to help.Unprofessional Staff: One of the staff members was repeatedly dismissive and exhibited a highly snippy attitude when I raised concerns.Failed Restoration & Poor Bite Alignment: I specifically asked them to fix my bite before leaving. They refused, and as a direct result, the permanent implants broke within just 8 hours of the procedure.Excessive Travel Burden: Because of their refusal to listen and fix the bite alignment initially, I had to waste an entire day driving 3 hours back to the clinic (6 hours round trip), burning a full tank of gas to fix their mistake.I strongly urge anyone looking into full-mouth restorations to carefully vet the provider and look elsewhere for an oral surgeon who prioritizes patient care and proper post-op management and also implanting wasted another full day of work and over 2 tanks of gasoline because of their mistake is when they had taken out my teeth but apparently they left a point ofmy jaw and after weeks of excruciating pain.... all while they tell me I'm imagining it because there should be no pain is what they said all up until a sharp point of bone stabbed through the roof of my mouth ..... THEN they admitted that they left a point of my jaw bone to pointy sharp so I then had to feel the pain while they cut the roof ofmy mouth and then shaved down the bone ...... like they were originally supposed to do....yet I got NO apology or offer to Compensate me for my gasoline AND time....even after paying them well over 40 grand, they don't even try because they know they have me by the B@LL$ since I signed that Contract.... soPlease, Save yourself and GO ANYWHERE else read more

The orthodontist seems to be focused on maximizing profits, scheduling more appointments than she can effectively handle. While the office has a welcoming appearance that attracts clients, the quality of service provided once they arrive falls below expectations. I signed up for Invisalign treatment and now regret that decision. The staff members are polite and maintain a professional demeanor; they communicate well with clients. However, the orthodontist needs to improve her service to meet the standards she sets for her practice. She sees multiple patients at once and frequently moves from room to room, checking in with her employees and doing little in her expected role as a provider. read more

Told my wife she had nine cavities. Ii questioned that and another dentist said she had none. She hasn't had any since. When I went in, hygienist whispered to me to state upfront I did not intend to spend a lot of money, because he "likes to do a lot of extra work." They will offer you a lot of high-interest credit options and "a dental savings plan" where you send them money regularly for future work. All in the name of "accessibility." Love the dentists, but not so much on communication with the office. After every cleaning I get offered fluoride but always been told the cost. Since it's not covered by my insurance, I always turn the offer down. I just had my cleaning and was NOT offered the fluoride with a cost. I was instead asked if I minded getting the fluoride. Since no cost was mentioned, I said yes. By the time I go to pay for my other co pay (which I was made aware before doing it), I was asked if I had done a fluoride. I thought that was odd asking me since no cost was mentioned when the woman asked if I minded her putting it on. Another lady (billing) comes out and I was like short of being scolded that I SHOULD know my coverage which did not include fluoride. So I told that lady I was not told a cost and instead, I was asked if I minded having it put on. I was mad at the billing lady who was telling me about my coverage, but I stayed calm. So I told them then make a note and don't ever ask me about fluoride. I love the dentists, and only had one issue with a hygienist before, but I'm not liking the billing part of the process and how I get talked to about it with the last visit. read more

Coming to Lorton Town Dental is probably one of the best dental experiences I've ever had. Timberly was my dental hygienist and she cleaned my teeth thoroughly yet was extremely gentle. She was also educational throughout the cleaning giving me advice on how I can continue caring for my teeth. Then, I got to meet Dr. Chelabi. She is just as pleasant and personal. I'm glad I read reviews and ended up here. It's clean and professional and a place I look forward to for my next appointment. read more

They've canceled appointments when I've arrived, they keep telling me that my insurance hasn't approved and it's only until I get the office and my insurance on a call together to prove I've had the authorization to have work done. I have been going to Lorton Town Dental for years now. Our decision originally came from reviews and the fact that they were right next to our kids' pediatrician and we've remained. I can't say enough great things about the service from the front desk to the hygienists, the technicians, and the dentists. Hands-down the best dentist I've ever been to. I've always loved how they've been keeping up to date with their tools, X-rays, etc. no archaic tools here! I also bring my kids 11, 9, and 7 to this team--even though there is a kids dentist next door :) that's how much I enjoy coming here. I'd recommend Lorton Town Dental to anyone. read more

Had a great experience getting my teeth cleaned today by Csilla and Claudia, they were great, they listened to my requests to how best to calm my anxiety and I walked out feeling much better than when I went in. Very friendly staff overall not an unfriendly face in the bunch. I even had to bring my toddler unexpectedly and they were happy to work around him sitting in the stroller without making me feel like it was a bother. Definitely recommend! read more

So far it is a 5. I went in today for a veneer consult. I was advised to correct my spacing first so I will do that with Invisalign, then there is some whitening of the bottoms, then the veneers. Dr. Khattab has been my dentist for at least three years now. I have seen a few of the staff members come and go as at least one was a military spouse, but the staff always remains courteous and easy to deal with. They operate in a timely manner and have not tried to get me to invest additional things I didn't truly need. When I first started going Dr. Khattab noticed that I had been grinding my teeth a little and recommended for a sleep study. This had already been done in the past though but I didn't follow up with the VA Hospital on it. Come to find out, I had sleep apnea and the VA gave me a CPAP. Since I had the CPAP, no need for a mouth piece. If it wasn't that severe, then the Doc would have fitted me for the mouth piece. Again, great staff. My family has also been seen here with great results. If you need a dentist, give them a try. read more

I have major extreme anxiety when it comes to dentists. Today I called this office because of a broke tooth with a hole in it. I'm a new patient and they were able to work me in same day and ease my mind. The staff is so calm and sincere. Dr Uzri is just fantastic. Her assistant Claudia was the sweetest. We went over my fears and they didn't judge at all. They helped me feel at ease and went over my next streps to making my mouth happy again. While I'm still nervous for my next appointment, I am a little less anxious. The front desk staff is so welcoming and friendly as well. She told me how she felt the same as I and the fact we can relate helps even more. I'm not done yet but I can come back and update as we go. The dentist and hygienist are great! Very friendly and helpful. They keep you smiling and want to know about you. They walk you through everything you need and help you understand what is going on. My biggest complaint is how long a cleaning takes and how sore I am afterwards. It's Thursday and my mouth and jaw are still sore and swollen from just a cleaning on Tuesday. Again, they did a really good job and have so many tools that help you with a thorough clean. But I just don't feel like my mouth should be this sore after a cleaning. And ibuprofen isn't doing much for the pain. I had to take a prescription pain pill to bring it down and that just doesn't seem right. read more

Chela who gave me cleaning was patient and took care of my teeth as if they were her own. I went there as a new patient and will definitely rely on Dr. Noelle Dunn for my dental needs. The clinic is very welcoming, Dr. Noelle Is very professional and personable, she listens, and cares. I had a very comfortable filling and cleaning done, and the assistant, Rimi, was very skillful and knowledgable and even answered every question and concern I had. They also have a very nice program if you don't have dental insurance. About $250 per year for singles covers numerous things you can have done at their clinic. They also have a good referral program. Not sure if Yelp counts towards it though =D read more

I firmly believe that my time with Lorton Town Dental has saved me from experiencing major dental issues for years following the treatments I received there--cleanings and major dental work (primarily preventative treatments but also cosmetic in preparation for my wedding). Through a temporary promotion they had, I also purchased my first whitening trays from Lorton Town Dental and continue to use them today to keep my teeth pearly white! Unfortunately, I moved just a few years after finding Lorton Town Dental (further south but just just far enough away to make it difficult to remain a patient there) but I remember my time there fondly: friendly staff, an extremely clean facility, the latest techniques, and state-of-the-art technology! If you would like to have an appointment for Saturday because you are busy during the week, this is NOT the place where to go! I scheduled an appointment 2 months ago and they constantly called me in order to reschedule me for the weekdays. When I did not answered the phone they left me messages. 2 days before my appointment they put me into a situation where I could choose: postpone my appointment for afternoon or reschedule for another Saturday 2.5 months later. I agreed to the afternoon. On the day of the of the appointment when I informed them I would be late due to afternoon traffic (which I tried to avoid with the morning appointment) without any corporation they offered half of the scheduled job. I have been here a couple of times. I have not seen a dentist in many many years. Upon finding this dentist office I called and the front office personal is super friendly. They won me over with their accommodating schedule. I first saw Mrs Sheila for cleaning and she was very professional. Mrs. Sheila was a sweet lady that taught me a lot about cleaning my teeth. Then the Doctor Khattab came over after my cleaning and X-ray. Dr. Khattab is very professional and he seemed to care about my teeth. He explained to me that I needed some work because I had not seen a dentist for many years. My teeth felt so clean after leaving the clinic. My 8 year old and 3 year old saw the Dr. Khattab as well. My 3 year old wasn't scared because Dr. Khattab very nice assistant made sure my baby felt comfortable. My little girls seemed to like the place and enjoyed seeing the dentist. My follow up appointments have consisted of taking care of cavities and fillings. Everyone working there is super nice. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. read more

My son had braces for 3.5 years. Once they came off we found his gums in the lower front had receded a bit. The orthodontist said he needed to have his gum area replaced with a piece from the roof of his mouth. It​ sounds painful, but quite a few people have had to do this. ​Lorton Town dental did a wonderful job. They put my son at ease and did the procedure with minimal discomfort. So very disappointed. My family and I found this dental office a little over a year ago. I was in search of a family oriented atmosphere, one my children could possibly grow with. I was pleased the first year because for me I prefer my children to have same person perform services. I was able to do this up until recently when my teen child (18) was told by new male receptionist that it was not possible. I spoke with the same male receptionist, over the phone previously, myself, and told him that even if appointments were not on same day, I want to schedule with Dr. Katabb or Ciala. He said, ok and scheduled my appointments. My teen son arrived to the appointment and this rude male receptionist sends my daughters to a new dental hygienists who continued to call my six year old daughter a boy. They were there to get teeth cleaned "only" but since an adult was not present she tries to throw in X-rays of my younger daughter to up their service ticket without my permission. My daughters (6&8) proceeds to tell me the hygienist was rude and disrespectful, and that they never wish to go back there again. Dental hygienist and receptionists came and went in Lorton Town Dental, this is specifically why I refuse to have my children seen by different people. The two people I requested were people I thought I could trust, not random new people. I will be reporting todays incident to my military dental provider. It is not ok to add services without parents permission. Also make sure you attend any doctor's office with your children. My daughters said the new hygienist forgot to floss their teeth. I'll never go there again and I would not refer anyone with a family of little ones here either. I went from a five rating to a one star rating. After being a patient at this dental practice for two years, I would no longer recommend it. My dentist left (Sandy Lin) and the practice never bothered to tell me. I started seeing two different dentists appear during my appointments, however no one bothered to tell me that my dentist was no longer with the practice. One dentist was introduced as "Dr K" and that was later explained to me as not his full name because it was hard to pronounce (!) He is also the new owner. The other dentist was introduced properly. Neither one explained why they were covering my dental procedures and not my dentist. Not cool and not who I chose to be my dentist. Sandy Lin has an excellent rating and that was why I chose her.
