She hesitates, and takes my id and begins asking me for a piece of mail from the address, and still decided to double check my id, like it was fake. Singled me out and made me feel very anxious and uncomfortable. I left hungry and watery eyes, tears cause I got disrespected, uncomfortable and singled out. Very bad social skills. Then the last time i complained was told " we go by the rules that lowes goes by which when i contacted lowes, they said Dd-214 of course ,just like the DMV or any other government agency, well maybe I don't want to pay the damned DMV the $70 or whatever it costs to have it on my liscence or my plates! I see people regularly saying im a vet offering zero proof get their discount there while buying a few screws but someone who's spends thousands annually offering a dd214 with matching odl gets ZERO discount! Complete and udder BULLSHIT in my book and most other folks books as well , because I complained the once chatty kathy manager (Scott) no longer even offers a hello goodbye or get f***** comment to me at all. I have done my due diligence trying to politely inform them of what a dd-214 is to no avail. Working at OHRA has been a truly incredible experience for me, both professionally and personally. There have been times when I needed support from my employer regarding personal challenges, college requirements, and even my overall well-being. Not only were those needs met, but I was encouraged and supported through them. OHRA's management team is truly unique in the way they genuinely care about their staff in a family-oriented way. My supervisor, Katie, has had a substantial impact on my personal and professional growth in ways others could not. She has shown me patience, understanding, and compassion during times when many employers may have given up on me. That same spirit of support and encouragement extends throughout upper management. Our Deputy Director, Ben, and Executive Director, Dan, are frequently on the floor checking in with staff--something I have never experienced elsewhere in my career. OHRA is a very busy agency, and although I work in a relatively small area of operations, I deeply appreciate that whenever I have a question or need guidance, there is always someone willing to help, even individuals I do not work with regularly. There is a true sense of family here, fostered through morning meetings, birthday celebrations, and the everyday relationships built among staff. Even my former supervisor, Lisa, still takes the time to stop and chat with me, which is something I value greatly. I am excited to come to work each day to help those in need because the staff at OHRA have helped me during my own times of need. There is love here. There is kindness here. I can only begin to express how much my coworkers have shaped me into the person I am today. I am extremely grateful for OHRA, and I believe anyone fortunate enough to work here would quickly understand why.
