Hard to find this location on my lunch break. Found it eventually, and no one answered the door or picked up the phone. There are no signs on the property indicating that there is a business here, and the property looked unkempt and deserted. I thought I definitely had the wrong address, until on my way back to work ten minutes later they called, and yes, they were there and did I want to bring my four chairs now. No, I didn't have any more time in my day to do that. Ended up replacing the chairs. read more

The first time, I didn't have my fabric but she said she'd try me again in a few weeks and it worked out for both of us! She is very personable, helpful and a real dear plus getting the job done quickly and beautifully. She works out of her house, part of which she has transformed into an upholstery studio, so be patient and follow her directions to the place. She could not be more accommodating or considerate. Small antique chair project, but when I got into it, I realized its cross- tied springs made it above my skill level. I'd ordered a custom fabric for the new seat cover from Medford Design Center but complained that my usual upholstery shop was booking 6 months out and I wanted this project done in less than a month. ML & Jen at Medford Design Center strongly recommended Amy at Rogue Upholstery, so I called her and left a voice mail. She got back to me quickly and we made an appointment because she was willing to fit my little project in amongst her larger projects. Yay! I liked her immediately. I could tell she knew what she was doing. She quoted a price that was reasonable. I asked her if she'd please use a double welt for the trim instead of gimp or ribbon, fearing I was asking too much, and she not only said she would, but that it was her preference as well. When I picked up my little chair, it looked beautiful! Amy did very good work on the bespoke upholstery AND she polished the wood, making the chair look even better. My Mom was thinking she needed to replace her couch, but the prices and options left her wanting. The issue with her old couch really seemed to be that it's seat cushions were flat and tired. I suggested she call Rogue Valley Custom Sewing and Upholstery based on the review here on Yelp. After placing the call they came to her house to evaluate her cushions. I was impressed by this since the cushions could have easily been removed and taken in to them. I was appreciative as my Mom is in her mid 80's and it would have been a task. My Mom liked the work they suggested and a time was set to pick up the cushions Friday to be returned on Monday. They called Friday am to confirm they were coming and they called Monday to confirm it was a good time to return the cushions. The cushions look and feel great! They were able to steam the foam (saving the cost of new foam) and replaced the batting. Fabulous !!! I would not hesitate to recommend Rogue Valley Custom Sewing and Upholstery.
