The therapist that I see comes right to my home, Rob Babkie is a fabulous therapists and uses many forms of therapy to assist you in your circumstances, he also is very personable and easy to talk to, and you can make your appointments to fit into your schedule as well. The staff at the center are all very understanding and will give you appointments based on your schedule as well. The nurse there is a very kind person and communicates your comments or wishes to the doctor without hesitation if you call in for assistance. All in all Sequel Mental health rates 5 stars with me.

I am writing this review based on an outsider's perspective. I was not a patient here. However,…read moresomeone very close to me was and based on my observations, I cannot in good faith give this place a positive review. Is the person who stayed here better off now than when they arrived? That's not for me to say, they can speak for themselves. What I can say that really is my issue with this place is how much they literally cut off the patients from the outside world. Their phone "policy" or whatever they call it is sad. Three 15-minute calls a week, if that. Don't get me wrong, in no way am I saying this is some kind of party line, absolutely not. These people come to this facility for a reason and rules and restrictions are in place for a reason. However, there is another perspective to this. Some people need that love and support from their family and friends, if they are lucky enough to have it. If your loved one was at this facility, you never knew if or when you'd get a call. If you happened to miss the call for any reason; work, weather, etc... you could not call back, so you both end up missing out. This can create unnecessary negative feelings to everyone involved. This can be very difficult when you're thousands of miles away as, as we were, let alone away from each other while in the same town. Does this facility even give a damn? My impression is no! Plus, they listen in to all the calls, violating privacy of both the patient and other person. To me, that's disgusting. It's not enough for someone to voluntarily admit to better themselves, nope; their privacy and dignity leave at the entrance. All of this I'm sure comes at a very hefty price $$$. Too bad I have to give one star.

He had been in and out of intensive care while being bedridden in a different rehab and skilled nursing facility. After many months in that facility he had recovered enough to eat and swallow soft food but he was still unable to walk. Then he came to Lynmoore, just before Christmas in 2023. My wife and I live in California, so we can't visit him in Florida that often, but we did visit for a few days in June, 2024. What a difference! We walked in one day just after his physical therapy session ended; he was walking back to his room with the therapist by his side, not in his wheelchair! That never happened before. This alone would rate five stars, all gold, but there is more. During our visit we interacted with many people: the nurses, the therapists, the community engagement director, the records office, the business office, even the dining hall staff. Everyone was friendly and professional. Residents coming and going were greeted by name. The buildings were clean and well maintained. The food was good; I ordered the same thing that my brother had when we ate together in the dining room. The affiliated home healthcare and pharmacy services are excellent; I continue to interact with them. However, there is even more to the story. My brother was in such bad shape when he first came to Lynmoore that, during our June visit, a couple of staff members admitted to me that they didn't think he would last in assisted living; he was that bad off. I truly believe he was admitted and flourished because the Wellness Director believed in him, motivated him from the very beginning, and everyone took good care of him around the clock.
