I have been attending Living Streams for over 10 years. I have been involved in the Women's Ministry and Life Groups. The teaching is Biblically sound, the worship music is uplifting, and the people are engaging and friendly. It is not a perfect church, but they are open to hear and learn from what is needed to be changed. I am blessed, overall, by being a part of this community. read more

This has been a great church that my family and I have been attending for the last two years. The leaders in the church are great and they have different pastors that speak and hit you in different ways. I'd say this is a small to medium sized church and in no way is it a mega church. I absolutely love that. I feel that with a little effort to put yourself out there it is very easy to get connected and know the team that leads and executes things at the church. It's also amazing the differences in age of the attendees considering some people have been coming here for decades while there is a very health amount of college students here which is spectacular. The worship was very different than the old hymns I remembered from the 80's growing up and the singers and band are excellent but it can be a touch loud, especially if you aren't used to it. I know the first time we went it was different but so much better than when I was a kid. They have all sorts of life groups available and it's best to talk with people about what is out there since it can be a little tough to navigate. My wife is in a women's group and our kids are in the Jr high program as well as 3-5 group. They get something out of it and want to go week after week. This is a solid church and our family has grown tremendously closer, my marriage is infinitely better and not stressed anymore. I am at peace for the first time since I left the church to go live my life the way I saw fit when I was 17. I was so wrong and am thankful to have found the people and ministry here. read more

Great church! I attended here for two years before moving to Tucson. They have everything from children to seniors something for everyone! Many opportunities to serve as well in almost any aspect! Absolutely horrible service and staff. The fellow worshippers were lovely people, but the service staff made me and my family, particularly my teenage daughter, feel very uncomfortable. One greeter asked where my adopted daughter was from before hitting on her, at Church! I heard good things about LSC, and my family decided to try it out after moving to Phoenix. I am a a faithful Christian, and if you are too, don't waste your time at this racist and unwelcoming mockery of a church. read more

I was invited to attend this church with a friend who lived very close to me, and at first I was a bit hesitant due to some trust issues. I had concerning church, because I wasn't keen on people who were on a mission to become famous and become the next social media sensation and climb the totem pole because I feel that Jesus isn't a cheap commidity to be exploited for any type of gain, whether it be financial or otherwise. As time passed by, I felt more comfortable speaking to people, but in spite of me being an extrovert, I can be a tad picky about whom I associate myself. However, over time I started to feel more at ease and being able to open up to people and starting to feel more at ease. Pastor David is a man who speaks his mind without coming off as a fire &brimstone hostile militant attitude screaming barbarian, but this man will NOT compromise his core value's and speaks with genuine love for God. You will NEVER hear this man berate you for you voted for ( or your lack of politics),intimate matters, nor will you hear him begging to share his posts on Facebook or social media platforms, but if choose to do so that is solely at your discretion. What you find is a church family that genuinely cares and encourages you to develop a relationship with Christ. Although, my path has had its rocky moments. Visited this church on Christmas Eve 2015. I have been searching for a Christian church with Saturday evening services, and after seeing their Saturday evening service time on their website, I thought Christmas Eve would be the perfect opportunity to check out the place. However, one of the first announcements made during this service is that the Saturday night services were being canceled...what a shame. The message delivered was done very nicely. The music was just ok. Some songs were very heart-stirring, and others just seemed too much like a rock concert rather than glorifying God...and I'm a lover of rock music. It's unfortunate my experience wasn't better and that they've canceled their Saturday nights. read more

The clergy are very knowledgeable. The sermons are very educational and bible based. Ministers are genuine sincere and caring individuals. Mark Buckley Kurt Cotter and David Stockton are 100 percent class acts. Congregation however is not very friendly as a whole very clickish and opinionated. I went to a men's bible study but quietly left as the gentlemen there would somehow start talking politics and bashing our current administration. My opinion is LEAVE THE DONKEY and the ELEPHANT at the door. We are one under god. I quietly left and have not been back to that particular study. The modern music does not move and inspire me and lasts far too long. However I am very aware that on the music I am in the minority of opinions. To summarize. If you want to hear a great Bible based message you would be in the right place that is great. If modern praise music moves and inspires you it is there also. If your opinions and beliefs are more to the center of the philosophical spectrum or towards the left choose your conversations wisely. I was going to give the church a 3 but the pastors there are so fantastic I raised it up 20 percent. The other aspects prevent me from rating it a 5. The congregation as a whole was also a factor in the rating as that part I'd give but a 3. read more

Living Streams has a wealth of pastoral anointing. When we first visited our feelings were mixed, especially since we lived half an hour away. But after committing some time to this church I think it's a really great place to be. The teaching here is very Bible-centric, and often doesn't wander too far from the scripture. It's also not "progressive", meaning that it doesn't try to change the Word to conform with society, but rather emphasizes the true nature of God's love. There are also lots of programs aside from the main service that go on throughout the week. This can make it difficult to adequately advertise the programs, so if you don't look them up you may never know they exist. At the end of services the pastor and other leaders are typically at the front if anyone wants to talk to them, and they do a good job of making time for anyone who approaches them. I think if you're looking for a church of decent size, but one that doesn't feel "Mega", this is a great place to try. read more

I have been attending Living Streams for a bunch of years including at the old campus on 20th St. This is a middle sized church not mega by any means, approx 700 in each service on a Sunday (eyeball figure for two services at 9am and 11am). There is a well staffed nursery and children's Sunday school at each service. High School and Junior High meet at 11:00am. Great fellowship area with large kitchen, stage and basketball courts. There is a community outreach every Friday lunchtime. Lots of parking and excellent bus service on Central and Glendale Ave with bus stops outside the church. Worship is contemporary (think Hillsong and Chris Tomlin), and definitely a bible believing mainline nondenominational Christian church, but there is no hard sell. You will not be accosted on arrival, though greeters at the door will attempt to make you feel welcome. Dress code is pretty casual. Appeals to young families, there is also an active seniors group. Full time staff administer children's programs, nursery, youth and seniors. The nursery is clean, with friendly staff, well equipped, secure, and well managed. There is a Saturday evening service (5:30), which attracts the younger crowd and Sunday morning at 9:00am and 11:00am. There is also a midweek program which attracts a lot of youth at 7pm on a Wednesday. The service is a standard format, with 30min singing and 30min teaching, approx 1hr 15min. Pretty sanctuary, with comfortable seating, display monitors, with words for all songs, and great sound system. Good accessible bathrooms. Everyone is welcome, whatever ethnic background, beliefs, skin color, age. Caveat: I am a longtime member at living streams christian church, but not otherwise either employed or affiliated. read more

My fiancé and I have been coming here for a few years and have nothing but wonderful things to say. Lead pastor David Stockton is fun, well-informed, and understands how to use his gift of preaching to motivate and inspire others. We also had a chance to work with Pastor Kurt Cotter for our pre-marital counseling and what a treat that was :) If you enjoy listening to the Word of God used through modern day examples in a non-judgmental and friendly atmosphere, this is the church for you! read more

It feels strange to review a church..but they offer a free hassle free daycare. You just fill out a little info card and they give you a key chain card to scan when you bring them in. This was vital because I can't imagine sitting through any service with my kindly put rambunctious 3 year old and offered a play/Sunday school for the older one. She can't wait to go back. They had a nice band which played a few songs then a very funny "hip" appropriately timed service. Very welcoming community. Great if you're new in town or new to church. read more

Pastor Mark is a great teacher and leader of this church. The message is true to the word and he presents a wonderful application for today's living. Worship is heartfelt to God and the staff is Wonderful. Younger crowds on Saturday night with pastor Dave and at 11am Sunday with pastor Mark. Middle age to older at 9am service on Sunday.
