I was introduced to Impact Church in 2022. I have been attending since and became a member last year. Pastor Travis is an incredible speaker, has an incredible story. He and Pastor Natalie are true leaders and Love this church!! The people are friendly and welcoming, the worship and teaching are incredible and impactful!! They have ministry available to all ages on Sunday and many opportunities to be involved throughout the week as well as in the community. Whether you live in Arizona, are passing through, or are looking for an online church I recommend you check out Impact. I gave Impact several chances but felt judged by staff each time. The congregation was put down for not jumping up with enthusiasm during worship and were called 'pocket worshipers' by Ryan Windauer mid worship for people singing with their hands in their pockets. I also disagreed with Pastor Travis comparing his Instagram followers to Jesus' 12 disciples and criticizing the church for not changing history the way they did. I also don't think calling the congregation the quietest he's ever heard is empathetic as lots of people are going through hard times and maybe can't be an ecstatic worshipper right now, yet they still showed up and were shamed. Lastly, it's hard to hear the leadership ask for money while the pastor flaunts his different $100+ Melin hats on stage. I have to separate myself as Impact Church has only separated me further from Church and God. read more

I've been attending this church since 2022. I was struggling and going through problems with my marriage. I felt the Holy Spirit speak to me EVERY TIME. At this church pastor Travis has always preached straight up scripture from the Bible, he teaches us & breaks down the lessons in the Bible so that we may live our every day lives how Jesus would want us to. I love how they celebrate Jesus & make church fun. Worshiping Jesus should be fun. My son was 2years old & would attend the Sunday school & he would get out of mass preaching to me what he learned about Jesus. Unfortunately I moved out of state but I watch every Sunday live! I went to this church today: I am not local I was in town for work, I went here to heal my heart and share my grief with a loving community What I found was a complaining pastor who was struggling with complaints from fellow parishioners ~ I was in shock and wanted to leave ~ I hung in there for a while to see if he might turn this negativity around He didn't. I have to leave a review following Jacob's. I attended the same service as him but had a completely different experience. [1] "whatever you're giving today, double it"...whether that is 2 dollars, 20 minutes, 2 chapters, etc. That is what he (Pastor Travis) was implying. [2] His outfit - Pastor Travis quite literally addresses his attitude & edge. Please know Travis & his wife have full time jobs outside of this & are successful. Whatever he chooses to spends his money on, is his choice. PT often calls out the wealthy but fairly humbles everyone. [3] His humor. He is misunderstood. He is witty & playful. Everyone is putting everyone on a pedestal. Take him of that pedestal & focus on the word. Please & thank you. Thank you Impact Church. Can't wait to attend in person. read more

Attended this church with 8 of my friends for the first time and actually had to leave the service mid-way through it got that bad. The lead pastor spent the first 15 minutes of service after worship practically begging for more money out of false teaching. A few direct quotes: "Whatever you are giving today, double it." "How much is Jesus worth to you?" (Directly relating this to financial worth, which is absolutely insane). "Last week was the best sermon given of all time (speaking about himself) besides when Jesus was only earth." And proceeded to call Jesus the "sermonator," Mind you, the lead pastor was saying all of this while wearing an outfit worth $1000 AT MINIMUM -- everything designer and 4-5 chains on if you're including the bracelet he was wearing. Keep in mind all of us are in our mid 20s to early 30s and know the temptations of materialistic possessions -- I would expect better from a lead pastor begging for money and guilt tripping his congregation and preaching a prosperity gospel. ICING ON THE CAKE -- this caused us to leave mid service. The pastor was telling all the haters and enemies in life to eat popcorn while they continue to be successful, referencing it as "purpose popcorn" and proceeded to throw all the popcorn all over the congregation from the platform. Mind blowing. Then we began walking out and one of his jokes followed up with "that was for my black folk." There was also a celebrity row where people of worldly status sat. The Bible directly warns again many of these things. Sending prayer for the lead pastor and the congregation. Also sending prayer for new believers coming here -- if many of us weren't rooted in our faith and have intimate relationships with Jesus as our Lord and Savior, this type of experience could lead those astray for a while. Upset and disappointed. Could say a lot more, but that's enough. 0 stars if that was possible. read more

Today the pastor told us to bow our heads and ask how many dollars God is worth to us and give that to the church. And whatever you do give to the church, God will multiply those dollars for you. Textbook prosperity gospel. This is a troubling approach to faith and giving. There is no monetary value that God is worth. The Bible tells us that salvation is a free gift through Jesus and giving should be from gratitude, not to buy blessings. Please use discernment if you attend. read more

After attending for 4+ years and through the pandemic, we decided we needed a switch. We're a family who is openly affirming of our LGBTQ+ friends and family members and we wanted a church our kids (late elementary school) would *hear* God's good news while also *hearing* the words that we accept all people. It's not enough just to say we welcome all. We were also a bit put off by hearing repeated attacks on mask-wearing people like what they were doing was wrong in choosing to protect themselves. We now attend PVUMC and they not only affirm on their website, but also in words. read more

This church is absolutely the worst, and the hugest fraud. It's really sad and disgusting. How people can stand and say that they're godly people but act and operate this church the way that they do. I have given this church many many chances, and it has failed me over and over again. You walk into this place not one person welcomes you in. Not one person says hi to you, NEVER once!!! I even volunteered one time to help feed the homeless. Not one person said thank you. Not one person greeted me,nothing!! My favorite is, I had an old neighbor and I would always see her out walking her dog, and I would chat with her sometimes, and I had shared with her that I was struggling and not once did she invite me to church,Now months pass, I look up The recovery class that they had to offer and guess who's running the class Cindy herself! Very disappointing! Doing the Lords work is trying to help as many people get closer to god, shame on her!!!! But they sure will ask you for your money!! My family recently started visiting Impact church. We moved here from Dallas Tx area. And wanted a church home where the "church mom" lay hands, the pastor know the members names and the spirit of the Lord was present. But every time we'd go the main pastor was never there. Upon arrival you're greeted with a coffee shop area, a bookstore, where clothes and other items are sold. Growing up, the only time food was served was during Sunday school or after a program. It's weird being able to eat donuts and drink coffee, as if you're attending the movie theater. Like how can you praise God, while snacking ?The bathrooms have tv monitors inside them, so you don't miss the service. Which I think is way over the top. But lemme get to my point. Impact church, isn't a hand clapping, foot stomping, God anointing church. It's literally for show. On 9/1/24, we went to church and this younger guy was the speaker. In his sermon, he mentioned a friend of his, "a friend who didn't have a car. But needed a car. He got the car but wasn't a car like you see in Scottsdale, it was a hood car" so hood and ghetto that the car itself didn't even have a hood" (HIS WORDS EXACTLY) .... My question is ... what does all that even mean. I'm a black person. And I found it kinda disrespectful. To make fun of a person's situation and also compare theirs from others. His sermon he spoke about, "stop being thirsty and comparing your situations to others". But make it make sense. Because cars are just cars. How can one car be hood/ghetto. Idk I think it's a mockery to God, the way Impact Church does. read more

I started going to Impact 9 years ago when it was 'the little church in an airplane hangar" and it was awesome. No parking, no frills, just a lot of believers 'pitching in' to make a church ( church is God's people, not the building). Band was awesome, people open. Fast forward 10 years and Impact is now 'the place to be seen" on Sunday mornings. Concert hall music with bands of roving videographers wired in and wearing headsets, hot babes in 6 inch heels & skin tight evening wear, slobby teens pawing their girlfriends, and a fancy car show worthy of Barret Jackson. A whole lot of people who would never have come to the original church and many of us 'old guard' have left for other pastures. PT is an awesome preacher! His sermons are/were the foundation of the church but as his aura has grown so had his arrogance. He leans more to the prosperity gospel now and openly praises hucksters like Joel Osteen and even openly says he wants his own 'stadium size church', you know, for Jesus, cuz Jesus was all about bling (yes Impact even has a 'swag shop'). My biggest beef with PT (Pastor Trav) is that he openly laughs at adult singles. Big joke... a singles group. Ha ha ha. Jesus aint got no time for adult singles. This from a guy who hasn't slept alone or eaten alone at Christmas for 23 years since he was 20 y/o. IMO Impact and PT are victims of their own very human egos. Happens a lot with Churches. So bring on the hot babes in the Jimmy Choo heels with the 3 karat rings and their Masserati driving men folk. and "praise Jesus!!!" Personally I just listen to PT's sermons, the good ones, on the net at night. Still pretty special when he is on topic. PS, one last thing, this last clown guest speaker, Chris Durso, took it upon himself to mock Catholicism and the Orthodox Church for their devotion to the Virgin Mary. I have no time for any wannabe preacher who thinks he is so special he can run down other believers doctrines. Same with Montel Jordan... stick to the subject and quit trying to be the big Bible Scholar. read more

To have a pastor proclaiming "calling God by different names will unlock different attributes" - Montell Jordan, is distasteful to say the least. I have never heard a pastor contort the Bible quite like this individual. If you are a first time church go-er, I highly recommend reconsidering and finding a church that reads DIRECTLY from the Bible. Montell Jordan, you are NOT God. For you to put this type of personal interpretation spin on our holy word, I will be praying for you. I pray that you can read Gods word for all that it is, and I pray you make time to re-evaluate the egotistical spin you've put on the Bible. As far as the lead Pastor, Travis, I have nothing but admiration for him. However, I cannot support a church that allows someone to preach "levels" of Christianity. Anyone with any ounce of discernment will see the hearts of the pastors here are not fully right with God. Pastor Travis Hearn has a boastful heart and brags more than anything- always pointing out his connections to athletes and famous people. And not to forget, he's always wearing the freshest outfits to fit in with "culture" (wearing Jordan's and off white and other expensive name brands to look cool). I get it, its fine to like nice things but he's very worldly and tries too hard to be hip to fit in with the younger crowd. Also, Pastor Darrisonn Tellez wore a shirt with demons on it to encounter night (08/18/2024), specifically the Kanye West vultures shirt with demonic symbolism. No true man of God pastoring over a flock, that proclaims Jesus Christ would wear a shirt with a demon on it. These are not the type of men I want to lead me or any loved ones. There are also young girls in crop tops running around in the church. This church is very worldly and I pray God changes the hearts of the leaders here to walk more in humility. I hope everyone uses their spiritual discernment about attending this church. This church has a form of godliness and knows the word but their hearts are far from God. Please all pray for yourselves and let the Holy Spirit guide you, because this church is just not it. Followers of Jesus Christ are to be set apart, but the leaders of this church are of the world and not set apart so how can they guide us? Scripture warns us about false prophets who dress in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. I truly believe that impact church is full of ravenous wolves. Please use your discernment and test the spirit for yourselves if you attend/plan on attending this church. read more

We visited Impact church with a friend while in town and it was such a great experience. They had a wonderful Easter festival that my kids loved, everyone was very welcoming. My kids loved the children's service. The worship was excellent and pastor entertaining with a solid message. We will definitely be back next time we are in Arizona read more

Posting a review of a church to me doesn't seem like something I should do , but, after seeing a few recent reviews , and I do mean recent few , I decided to put in my thoughts on what it is to be here. We have been attending since 2016, in that time I have seen it grow so much , even outgrowing the new location . I have always been one of those people who did not particularly relish a fast growing church , as I felt something would surely get lost in the translation and so on . It has been the opposite of what I had thought , our pastor And his staff are truly doing the amazing in the name of our savior. There are some who reviewed this from the wrong heart set , the word that is spoken in this place is special , so much compassion is spoken from PT , he does not sugar coat the Bible , nor should anyone , we come here to find truth and better understanding of who we are and how to better our lives in Christ . The worship team is amazing and brings us up , not only on Sunday , but gives us all an emotional boost to our week . I am truly blessed to have a place that gives me hope and has enhanced my life in so many ways . This is not a mega church , this is a place of worship that brings a mega message of Christ to its people . In closing , it's not about the building , it's about the word , and the word is working miracles everyday. read more

I cannot say enough about how much I love this Church!!! The Spirit of the Lord is in this church!!! I am amazed at the amount of people that are coming to Jesus through this ministry. Pastor Travis and his wife Natalie are so passionate humble and real!! I feel so honored to be a part of impact church! We have been going for about 4 years and each time we are so filled with the holy spirit when we leave, it is Amazing!! We realize that life is hard sometimes and to have a pastor that is so open and honest about his own life and his journey with the Lord is so comforting. Natalie has a heart for Jesus and so much passion, and compassion for all. The genuine realness of these leaders is the key to what keeps everyone coming!! The worship team is so talented!!! I am overwhelmed every time with the humble hearts I feel from the worship leaders Amelia and Daniel who are so anointed!! I cannot leave out the band players and singers they are so passionate as well. Each one brings such a special gift. Ou youngest daughter is 9 and she loves the children's ministry. The devotion of Paster Jackson and Gracie is just Amazing!! We are so grateful for them. I have never in my life understood the word like I do now, the way Pastor Travis explains the word of God has helped us so much!! We have brought many to this church as it is such a blessing!!! Nice service and the pastor is great. He has a very strong message that we higy enjoy every week. We go to the 9 am service which is awesome. The place is great. it's easy to be drawn in by the music, the donuts, the coffee and the sweet door greeters. however, it's almost been one year since I was a member of Impact Church and I am still working through alleged church hurt and manipulation that happened behind the scenes of this "church". I grew up in this church from age 12 to 22, the entirety of me being there I struggled with my sexuality but kept serving despite this internal battle. I loved God, I loved people and I loved the children and families I took care of every week. Allegedly someone had come to the staff and shared a rumor that I was dating someone of the same sex, the day that the rumor was shared I was questioned and before they even found it to be fact I was fired the next day. almost everyone stopped speaking to me and I was completely left without community that I poured into and served with almost every day. I am not here to bash the church as a whole but this one just has so many issues that desperately needs to be sorted out, they also need elders and not just people on staff that decide how they want to individually deal with situations. I am not the only person that this organization has hurt so deeply which is really sad. however you feel about homosexuality, we should all agree that love does not look like throwing people in the trash because they're not like you. I was a great caregiver and I loved people so loud and so deeply, but because my views (that I kept completely private) were different it's almost like I was no longer deserved love and kindness.
