We're having serious trouble with custom-made ones and we just can't get them to work for my dad. We have had an employee go to his hospice to help him with these hearing aids and they still won't work. My husband decided to give them a try thinking it was his father-in-law that was the problem. It turns out there are trouble with my husband's hearing aids now. He had them one day and they broke. They made him do a walk-in, which he didn't mind doing, but they charged him $20 for it! It's the principal it's not the $20. I'm really disappointed that family members don't have hearing aids that work and I'm at my wits end what to do for my father. To make a long story short I can't recommend this place and neither can my husband and neither can my father. We really wanted to support a family own business, but we're sorry we got messed up with the entire thing.

They really took their time to explain the testing procedures and test results. Not only that but the time and care they took to help me with fitting and fine tuning the aids I picked out was above and beyond what I've experienced seeing any medical professional.

I generally get my hearing aids from the VA, but they've been less than helpful in replacing my over the ear hearing aids that have suffered thru covid with me. They've been launched, dropped and lost when unmasking and background noise has 1st priority So unwilling to continue that frustration in the drawer they went. That was the beginning of the next level of frustration. Finally reaching wits end and having been inundated with mail from local hearing aid companies I decided to act. I learned that hearing aid vendors are like used car salesmen, lure you with rock bottom prices and try to upsell into the model that is practical with the most profit for them. So enter Costco Hearing Aid Center, in typical Costco fashion they buy in bulk, and have stores all over the country. So I stopped in, talked to the audiologist and scheduled an Appt. After the hearing test we discussed the options. Since the audiologist are not paid on commission I feel I got better info with no pressure. Hearing aids chosen, molds made and come back in 10 days to pick them up. Huh? Normal took 4-6 weeks at the VA. I show up, they fit great. They were programmed to my hearing deficit, connected to my phone and now I can hear you. They are brand name with the bells & whistles *I* wanted. It was a great experience and now I wonder why it took me so long. Costco may not be your first choice but the may be your last.

My mom was frustrated and nervous and according to the other family member was anxiety ridden. I was told they were not patient and mom chose to leave. I set a second appointment to take her myself because she wanted to try again. I will also admit I am skeptical already of a hearing aid business with not a single audiologist. However, its my mothers choice and she makes all her own decisions. I was simply her support system. When we went into the treatment room, he was continually questioning her insurance. He kept asking and saying insurance may not cover if she had gotten any within 5 years. I told him let's not worry about the insurance (she is able to pay regardless of insurance) and just determine the hearing loss and if they can help her. He said to me "It's my office, I own it and we will do it my way." Since I did not actually need to be there and would have preferred an audiologist, I stood and told him and my mom that I would wait in the lobby. When I stood up to leave the room he said "I don't think I can serve your family. My mom stayed behind and didn't hear any of what was said. A few minutes passed and he started to work with her. I heard him ask her how they would do the treatment without me in the room. My mom is completely capable and is quite intelligent so she told him she made all her own choices. I was completely shocked at how condescending he was and could hear it all from the lobby. A lobby with another patient who could hear as well! After some time, he came to the lobby and apologized to me. I do appreciate the apology and that he admitted he could not help her type of hearing loss which we had already been told, this was my moms hail Mary. I question still, his concern about insurance. We were prepared to pay regardless of insurance status which I attempted to explain. I am not sure of his motivation, but at the time, I felt he was determining how expensive of equipment he could recommend before ever even testing her hearing. Overall I don't think I would recommend.
