What I told her during my assessment is not what she put in my chart. A few things were fabricated. She had little professional objectivity; she was vindictive because I got mad at the front desk a few days prior. She made me out to be a monster in my chart. A chart is not a place to lash out at a patient. What happened at the front desk: I called to say I would be 10 minutes late. The person said to still come in. When I arrived, the woman at the front had a line. I checked in and she said the doctor would not see me because I was late. Clearly, they had zero communication. She could have rescheduled my appt instead of me rushing to the office. The office manager was antagonistic, not kind or understanding. She told me to go home and reschedule. I told her I was mad, but I was not cursing or throwing things. That somehow prompted her to accuse me of threatening the staff. What a lousy way to treat someone when your staff royally screws up. The staff is the bottom of the barrel.

The doctors tell you to pick up an order for tests, etc. at the front desk but they never have them. They don't order imaging or even preauthorize until you call wondering why you never heard back. I just cringe before calling because it's always a confrontation. If you call and ask for a doctor's assistant she is ALWAYS "unavailable" and then when you explain you are following up on something they were supposed to do they magically become available. It's really hard to deal with when you're very sick.

She is relentless in finding out what is wrong with you if it isn't evident through tests and exams, she digs to get you an answer and a plan forward. I moved my entire family to her and we drive from Sonoma County to see her. She is going out on her own with a limited patient focused practice and if you aren't on board yet you should be soon before she fills up! My family is extremely lucky to have her in our health corner!!

She is a good salesperson for Prima Medical, which is a medical group run so ineffectively, it makes the DMV look good. I went in for an annual physical. That physical consisted of her looking in my ears. That represents 100% of the medical attention I received. Aside from that, we discussed a few mutual friends we have. She also asked how my sleep issues were coming along, and I replied "fine." Because she asked that question, the appointment moved beyond annual physical to condition-related appointment, enabling her to charge me twice. To make things worse, Prima Medical stopped accepting my insurance (although they offered no notification regarding this). So, I went in expecting only to pay a copay for my annual physical and ended up getting charged full price for 2 separate appointments (even though I only spent 10 minutes total talking to the doctor). Prima Medical and Dr Basu are why health care in the United States is developing a terrible reputation. They aren't focused on healthcare but on throughput and revenues. If your health is important to you, you'd do best to look elsewhere.

I had been bitten by a tick and had all of the classic symptoms. My Doctor, Irene Teper told me I didn't have Lyme unless I had been back east. She wouldn't test me but said she would give me a referral to Dr. Tolliver, an infectious disease specialist. Dr. Tolliver has terrible bedside manner and seemed unconcerned with my symptoms, making me feel like a hypochondriac. Upon my second visit to go over my test results, he told me there was nothing wrong with me and to "have a nice life". He never asked if the symptoms continued or other possibilities. Due to the length of time that passed the disease took over and my health continued to decline. Luckily I found an amazingly doctor in SF who tested me and found I do have Lyme disease and 3 co-infections. I saw the test results myself. If Dr. Tolliver or Dr. Teper had treated me sooner I wouldn't still be battling the disease today. Shame on them both.

His attendants - all of them - have been professional, kind and kept their sense of humor along with me as I went through a series of breath-tests. Not only to see the doctor for the appointment but also time spent in the waiting room. A gem who doesn't keep his patients out in the foyer. Happy to recommend this guy.
