Not only does their rich, delicious frozen custard outshine anything I can find in Denver, the prices are low enough to encourage additional indulgence. This is not a venue to visit when trying to diet.To quote the late, great Wesley Willis, "This place will put pounds on you." With a variety of preselected topping/filling combos, it's hard to resist such innovative and calorie-dense deliciousness. Our favorite concretes include the Elvis Pretzely (vanilla custard, pretzels, caramel, hardshell chocolate), Turtle, and their heaviest offering, Muddy Sneakers (hot fudge, Reese's cups, peanut butter). This time, I went for the Cappuccino Chip (chocolate custard, coffee syrup, choc chips) and was stoked on the thick consistency and smooth, rich taste. I managed to finish a medium, but was the only one of three who could. Service has been mostly fast, but always friendly. This time, they made one item incorrectly. I love the flavors Lix offers, especially the banana split concrete! They are so convenient & the staff is so kind! Only dislike, and I can only speak for the Farmington location is that the concretes are pretty runny. If you like them that way, this is for you!!! We had been hiking near here and decided some frozen custard would be a nice way to end the afternoon. We both got a small sundae - a turtle and a drumstick. The small was really small but the toppings were pretty generous and the custard was really good. We were waiting on quickly and had fast, good service. We visited Lix on July 28. The two girls working midday were wonderful. I asked about allergies and the newer employee immediately went to ask her coworker. They worked so nicely together. The more veteran worker washed everything and got out all new ingredients to ensure there would be no cross contamination. I was so impressed with the care they took to keep my peanut and tree nut allergy son safe especially for their age. We will be back and share this info with many! read more

And the drive thru is awesome, BUT, my boyfriend and I have both had upset stomach issues multiple times after having ice cream here, so we've had to stop going. Neither of us have issues with any other frozen custard or ice cream, so I'm not sure what it is with this place. Maybe a cleaning issue, but after giving it a shot multiple times with a similar outcome, I can only give 3 stars. I wish I could give 5! Definitely a 5 for taste! read more

5-Star desserts with 3-Star service. The frozen custard here and the variety in which you can get it is simply amazing at Lix. Everything I've ever had here is delicious and well worth the price. Most of this stuff is so rich that anything aside from a small cone, sundae, or concrete is often too much of a good thing. The only downside to this place is the employees. They don't seem to care that you're there. They aren't friendly. They're there, it seems, to get a check by giving you your dessert in the most laissez-faire manner possible. I am a sucker for frozen custard, I mean come on I live about 6 minutes away from a Ted Drew's so I know custard. When I am away at the lake and I get a craving for something cold and sweet, there isn't a Ted Drew's near by, but they do have a delightful custard place, and it's called Lix. this is a great little off the road kind of custard place, and btw for you non custard lovers you can get some ice cream there as well but you don't know what you are missing. the place is nice and clean, and all the times I have been here I have had great service. We frequent at least twice a week and it is SO worth the hour (2 hour round trip) visit to ftown jr from ptown. This frozen custard stand has a variety of flavors comparable to Ted Drewe's, but they are a lot slower than Ted Drewe's is in serving up your order. This is a great place to hang out at on summer nights with your friends though. read more

Lix is amazing! Definitely the best place to get frozen custard/ice cream in Farmington! They have great concretes. I especially like the "Muddy Sneakers" concrete! This is a great place to go on a Summer night. I will add that they are a little over priced. read more

It's custard, it's great! It's a bit too rich for me but they are one of the few places where you can still get a malt.
