We had Lizzie make a cake for my daughter's first birthday party and there really are no words to describe the amazing experience I had ordering a cake from her! I messaged her on yelp after seeing some reviews, and she got back to me within the hour. This was literally a little over two weeks before my daughter's party, and i thought there was no way she'd be available but she was! I texted her a picture of what I wanted, she sent me an example of something similar to what she had already done and I booked her right away. It was really easy to communicate with through text messages and she always responded to my questions within a couple hours. I had a three tiered cake with a Mickey Mouse head, so essentially four tiers. She quoted me at such a reasonable price for four different cake flavors. The cake itself was a piece of art but the flavors were all delicious!! I got chocolate, lemon cake with raspberry filling, red velvet with cream cheese filling, and vanilla cake with Nutella filling. So many flavors but EVERYONE was happy with the options. I'm not going to go into full detail about the design of the cake, but the picture should do it a little justice. Such a cute cake!! The only thing that wasn't the most ideal was that we had to pick up the cake, but it wasn't her fault at all as I didn't request that to begin with. She was really helpful and my brother was able to pick it up and deliver it in one piece. I really can't rave enough about this cake! Sooo good!!

Ok so first off, so glad I went to Lizzie. She was extremely sweet in person and her work piece is awesome! My son absolutely loved his cake. It looked sooo awesome to him he did not want to cut it but when he did he was super happy he did because it tasted amazing. Lizzie's service was so smooth for me. Especially because it was only a weeks notice and THEN only 3-4 days notice on a change of theme and it still came out looking great. Her price is very friendly compared to most bakeries. Lizzie was super helpful and easy to work with. I worked with Lizzie 3 months in advance to settle on a 6" custom birthday cake. I sent in a design I wanted to be placed on top and she perfectly recreated what I wanted. I opted for as minimal fondant as possible since the celebrant doesn't care too much about it. However the decorations made with fondant were definitely worth it. The celebrant, myself and even our waitress were blown away by the design. The cake itself is a lemon cake with raspberry filling. It was perfectly moist, had even and distinct layers of cake and filling, and the buttercream frosting was the perfect amount. I contacted Lizzie for some custom cake work and honestly I have never met a business owner so forthcoming with helpful advice. Lizzie dropped so much free knowledge all over me I feel like I should pay her some type of tuition stipend simply for her time. I'm pretty sure I could get at least an Associates Degree in pastry making now. I have NEVER met (and probably never will again) an individual so willing to simply be helpful, particularly when that individual does not stand to be the benefactor of my patronage. Lizzie selflessly redirected my search for a cake, avoiding the obscure and deceitful vernacular that the high end pastry industry is probably known for. I can recommend Lizzie on the merits of her integrity alone. She was quite clearly concerned with my satisfaction even if it wasn't being made at her shop. Great businesses are operated with high integrity and this is a perfect example of one. read more

This is completely about Liz's professionalism and customer service. I needed a last minute cake and called Liz. She was so kind of the phone and was upfront that she may not be able to deliver because it was last minute but she would call me back. True to her word she got back to me quickly and was honest and upfront she couldn't. She did make a recommendation of others who might be able to help. Really appreciate her going the extra mile. I think it speaks volumes when someone doesn't overcommit and then under deliver. I will definitely keep her in mind for the future. read more

The cake and the smash cake were beautiful and delicious..I have to say also Lizzy went above and beyond with the smash cake, which I accidentally almost broke completely...Lizzy fixed it for us and at no extra charge I observed her while she was fixing the cake and whoa so much work and dedication. Wow this review is a little overdue! I work in hospitality. I had a VIP guest whose assistant had reached out to me regarding a cake that was needed for his arrival here. Only problem was they gave me 2 days to figure something out so I was going crazy trying to find someone in the area who could make this cake in two days, and someone who could make it well! I came across this Yelp actually and thought I'd reach out. Lizzie was amazing and so accommodating - she truly saved the day! She delivered it in promptly and it was done to perfection! It was exactly as I had described and more amazing than I ever could have imagined! Not only was she professional and accommodating but also a very sweet woman to work with! Here's my review for my sister's 50's birthday party cake with theme of the 80's. We found Lizzie's Cake Couture on yelp for which she is a home-based baker. Despite being a home-based business I believe it keeps all the overhead cost lower than a store front bakery yet the quality is still very high at a very reasonable price for a custom cake. I initially had sent her some photo and ideas of what we wanted. The theme was the 80's so we wanted to incorporate something like a rubrics cube, a boombox and some vibrant colors from this era, all of which were edible pieces minus the I love 80's sign. She was able to take our ideas and thought and transform them into an awesome looking cake that was complemented by all our guest. Not only was she able to create an 80's looking themed cake, the layers of each section was a different flavor that all tasted good. Overall, I would recommend and use her services again. There's also more leche flan filled in the middle of the cupcakes. A small injector for extra caramel sauce is included for each cupcake. The stamp on top is make from white chocolate. The cupcakes are moist especially with the added Leche flan and so addicting. I like the injector to add more syrup on top. Cupcakes are sold at Kabayan Bakery in National City/Spring Valley.

I messaged Lizzie on Instagram on a very short notice because I wanted to take cookies in to my daughters kindergarten classroom for her birthday. Lizzie responded quickly and took my order on a short notice. We ordered 30 bunny cookies, not only were they cute but they tasted just as good as they looked. She also did a good job on presentation as they were all individually wrapped and placed inside of a cake box. It made it super easy to take them to my daughters class. All of the kids loved them!
