Pumpkin Patch
Kenji Y.

GET THE CORN HERE! The corn is 3 for $1 and they are super sweet! There is a limit of 100. I like to keep the husk on, but I saw the veterans taking them off before buying them. A few corns weren't perfect inside so now I get it. Watermelon was $12, but they were huge and good! The biggest watermelon I ate in my whole life and that's coming from a guy that eats a lot of watermelons and pees nonstop.

Sunflowers w/ gorgeous bees

My boyfriend took me to this gorgeous sunflower field! We walked all the way around and in the center. It looks like the sunflowers need a little bit more time growing so we'll be back during another time but I loved it! Highly recommend

Cute little pumpkin patch with a maze, vendors, petting zoo and really good prices on the pumpkins.

Xmas trees

You come here for a little bit of everything... There's a pumpkin patch around Halloween and Christmas trees in December. There's a big boutique in the spring (maybe the summer too). Year round, you can get farm fresh produce -- whatever is in season. Some is directly from their fields. There's Gizdich pies (although they sellout fast) and jam. Yum! There's a ton of other speciality items. Try Roxanne's granola. There's also amazing rocky road fudge made from two sisters who live in Gilroy. In you're in the area, it's worth a stop.

I usually stop by LJB to get corn and jam while in Gilroy. Their frozen ravioli is delicious. So are the ice cream sandwiches. For the last few years, our PTA has gotten pumpkins for every student from LJB. The pumpkins make the kids so happy. The pumpkins are so awesome.

However I have a suggestion - because the cost of the tri tip is misleading and I paid almost $20 for marinade!: Try to bulk marinade your tri tip and then sell it at its real price -- OR be more transparent about the actual size and cost of the tri tip. Today I bought a tri tip -- @ $15/lb. I thought I was getting a 3.5 pound tri tip @ $51.50. However, when I weighed it at home, the tri tip it was only 2.3 pounds. The marinade was 18 ounces!... so paid approximately $17 - a third of my cost - for something I couldn't use. The TRUE cost of the tri tip was approx. $25 a pound. So I paid almost $20 for marinade which you can't really use... I have never had this issue before -- with such a copious amount of liquid.

My marinated tri-tips are better, in my opinion. But I went in a few days looking for a nice Porterhouse steak, and they had them! I purchased a 1.8 pound porterhouse and grilled it. Truly one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. Thank you, Rocco's, for having excellent meat, excellent service, and not rude like a counterpart in Gilroy. I will be back over and over again.

For a period of time, I was getting my wagyu steaks from Costco for a stellar price per pound when it was in-stock, but they stopped carrying it for a year and a half so it was time to find someplace else to get my wagyu fix. I decided one day to check out this carniceria after walking home from the local farmer's market and lo and behold, my precious wagyu strip steak was staring back at me whispering to buy it. You bet I bought the steak and on a whim too lol. It even came with a certificate of authenticity and a very nice paper bag! The market inside is very spacious and it's clear to me that they keep their store pretty clean as it did have a bleach-like odor. While their primary focus is selling various cuts of "elite" meat, they also offer a selection of marinated protein, and accoutrements. After securing the goods, my husband grilled that baby up and we devoured every sliver of medium rare goodness. It's fatty but in the best way possible and a little goes a long way in terms of getting and staying full. I will definitely be coming back here to try out other cuts of meat!

A once hidden gem, that is no longer…read more Pros: A great selection of meat Helpful staff Cons: They do not have their pricing out per all products, so don't be surprised if you all of the sudden pay $3-$4 more dollars a pound than a few weeks ago. Their prices have skyrocketed since I first started going here, save yourself some money and shop at Region. Also call prior to going, if you're stopping by right when they open or a few min prior to closing. I've stopped by before to find their store surprisingly closed during their "store hours".
