**********AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COST!!********** NOTHING EXPRESS ABOUT THEM. THEY are a ,Horrrible company, They went over my head with my insurance company. Never gave me a quote! I had called them 4 time's in a week, The 4th call was picked up, I asked him if he is going to tarp off the roof as rain was comming, He said he get back to me. Eight days later I receive a call back, By this time the rain came & did more damage in the dinning room as it was leaking! I am NOT a baby sitter. He threaten me saying " "I know where you live!" Are you freaken kidding me?? if that wasn't enough, they contacted my insurance company. Telling them I violated my contract. So now I have to get an attorney involved to get the moneys still owed. & I will sue these people! Truth be told: They fell so very short of what was suppose to have been paid!. I never even got an quote from them. Nothing good from these poor specimen of the human race!! read more

Story: I needed a full roof replacement in a short turn around time. Received 5 quotes and went with this company, big mistake. I went with this company solely because they committed to doing the job on the dates I had available. They where not the cheapest at all. 1100 sq foot house quotes came in from $7800 to $19000. They were in the middle. Pros: 7 workers - 3 were female. The workers they hire do not stop working. They hustle all day to the point I had to ask them to take a break for water as it was over 90 degrees. They don't chatter amongst themselves, they have their heads down to do the job and nothing else. The quote came back to me in less than 24 hours, they committed to doing the job, communicated effectively (Mike the owner), up until start time. Cons: They do not instill safety on their employees. No ear protection (blower/saws), no eye protection (nail guns at ramp speed), no slip proof shoes and no safety harnesses in place. Carrying 2 sheets of plywood up at a time, is too dangerous and not time efficient if you fall off the ladder. I get it my house isn't that big, but I can count on one hand how many times these workers slipped on my roof after all the shingles were removed. Mike - as the owner, safety should be your number one priority. Cons: Felix came out to give me a quote, and I explicitly told him what had to be done *house is 70 years old, 2 layers of shingles and whatever material is underneath the shingles needs to be replaced.* I got the quote from Mike signed off and moved on. Day of, they tear off the shingles then start hauling up plywood, I said stop, remove the wood. The workers called Felix and all he did was state what the quote said "remove plywood" never in my life would I have said plywood, in fact I reviewed the camera footage of this conversation that took place 3 feet from my camera, and I repeatedly said "material under the shingles". Not once did I say plywood. In any case, Mike had Felix go into my attic, which should have happened the day the quote was written up, but there was no need, apparently. Had he taken the time, he would have noticed that plywood wasn't on my roof, hardwood boards were. So I said give me a discount if you are not following thru on removing the wood, nope not doing that. Con: Everyone knows plywood is like a $100 a sheet, Felix told me earlier in the day that excess/scraps I could have. So when the shingles started to be put on, there were 3 full plywood sheets left and a few piece parts. I asked the worker are you all set with plywood and he said yes. Then Felix comes around and says no, these are extras we paid for. What? Who brings excess to a job like this, but runs out of other supplies throughout the morning? End of day, there is a pile of unused, unopened, boxes - nails, 2 roof vents, 3 packages of shingles. Can I have these since I paid for them as detailed out on the quote, no, these are extras. I said no they are not, they are itemized out on my quote and you didn't use them at all. Nope, not getting a refund or discount, taking these excess items onto another job. Where the shadiness will continue. Do not hire these people. read more

A roof done right with Express Roofing. I cannot say enough about this company, it's been a long time since I have seen hard working, conscientious workers like I did today. The group of 14 men and women worked non stop from start to finish. There was no down time, no hanging around checking their phones. They were here to do a job and boy did they do it. After they were done with the roof they did a great job on the clean up. They picked up the nails with magnets, vacuumed and even cleaned the railings. They were worth every penny! They weren't the cheapest but you do get value for your money! I highly recommend Express Roofing!!! Wish everyone worked as hard and were as reliable as this company. read more

My husband & I had our roof replaced by Express Roofing in March. They also installed two skylights that open which replaced two stationary skylights. They completed the job in one day. The crew was very good and did a great job. We were very happy with the results. The owner. Mike gave us the estimate. His estimates were very professional and precise. He gave us samples for our choices. We decided to have them do siding for the house. We cannot say enough good things about the job they did The crew for the siding was excellent. Neighbors hired this company to do their roof and they decided to pee in the island in front of other homes. Not only was it disgusting to witness, but there are over ten houses that face where they decided to pee and young children could have very well saw. When my other neighbor approached them to ask them to stop, the workers were rude and claimed it didn't happen. Very unprofessional, disturbing, and disrespectful to homes nearby. read more

Was referred to this business by a contractor renovating my bathroom; said they are excellent - well priced and great workmanship. I called and spoke to Mike to discuss his thoughts about an issue I was having with my roof. He was patient and spent time with me on the phone and offered his opinion and advice going forward. My problem may be one of ventilation/insulation and condensation rather than a problem with the roof itself. Express Roofing is awesome, plain and simple. The entire experience was fantastic. I received numerous quotes from different companies and Express Roofing was the most prompt in their reply and their quote was very detailed and included shingle samples. They replaced my roof in one day as promised and showed up promptly on time. The crew did an amazing job on cleaning up the job site. You would never know they were there. They even moved my patio furniture off my deck, wiped down the railings, used a leaf blower to clean off the driveway, and replaced my solar lights along the walkway. The roof looks sweet! They even saved me money by replacing my old box vents with better high-flow ridge vents. Express roofing was incredible. Not only did they have lowest price out 4 top-rated roofing companies I got estimates from, they had a 50 year GAF warranty (transferable!) on all roofing materials and any possible replacement needed in the future. The crew was very professional, even got the entire job done in one day even after I decided to replace all the sheathing after seeing some rot after they stripped the old shingles. My roof was not properly vented before and the installed full soffit vents around the entire house. They provided excellent advice during proposal stage, gave me all my options with no pressure, had the best price and did a fantastic job! You only replace a roof once, so do it right. read more

My experience with Express Roofing was top notch. They worked hard and finished the roof on my ranch house in one day. The team was very friendly and two foremen would check the work thoroughly throughout they day. They kept me apprised of issues, such as having to do some structural work on an old porch roof, and were responsive to my calls as questions came up through the day. The extra work needed wasn't too much of a shock to the system, since our house was built in '64 and needed two layers of roof removed. I expected we might find issues, and you should too if you have an older house. The clean up job left my property immaculate, which is really something considering all of the debris generated. Initially, the roof job was done within a day and the price was competitive, although the additional cost of replacing the panels added about 20% to the job cost. The 10 year workmanship warranty sounded good and I hired them. In my installation, they did not install the roofing drip edge back to the original position such that it overlaps the back edge of my gutter. Additionally, the leaf guard never got put back to the original condition prior to them replacing the roof. This had caused debris to get trapped in the gutter and water to spill out behind the gutter into the soffit. After I called to report the problem a person came out to look at the issue and without looking at the detail to verify what I stated, he comes out and denies that this was their problem. I pointed out that there is a clear line in the gutter where the drip edge used to overlap it. The person kept insisting that I should have the gutters redone at my own expense. I kept insisting that Express Roofing had not properly reinstall the drip edge. I was then told that someone will come by to fix it. It's been six months and I haven't seen anyone, and the problem is still there. After the snow melted, I called back again to leave a message with Mike, the owner, who I can never reach because there's always an answering service to filter the calls. Mike has never called me back after that. This is unlike during the initial phase when he'd call me back right away to try and secure my business. So be very careful. If they install the roof without any problems then you're ok, but you'd probably want to check their work right away in great detail. Check for any damages or improper installation right away before you write that check paid in full. I would be concern about Express Roofing standing behind their warranty. Now it will be a hassle to have to go through a third party and try to resolve this. read more
