Would not recommend this place to anyone. salesman told me I was ordering one thing. And gave me something completely different. The flooring was to come in 6ft long strips of wood flooring but what I got was boxes of 1ft long strips. The salesperson did not even want to speak with me at first then when he did he was screaming and yelling like a crazy person. Something is wrong with that guy. Do not go there. read more

I had a leak in my basement and needed to replace nearly 900 square feet of flooring. I went to LL Flooring, chose a product and arranged for an estimate. I received the estimate about 5 days later for over $8,000. I called LL Flooring to question a few items. There were 2 charges for miscellaneous custom work - one for $500 and one for $154. I was told these were custom cuts and trim around a pellet stove and 4 lally columns. We removed underlayment because the product I chose had it already attached, so we replaced that with a vapor barrier. There were also 3 bags of leveler patch and I was told it's a standard order and if it is not used, it could be returned. The estimate came to $7,500. I was required to pay in full to proceed. I scheduled install for 2 weeks after delivery so I could arrange my work schedule and coordinate with other contractors at the house. My husband and I removed the existing laminate floor and all the baseboard. The floor was swept and washed prior to installation. On the morning of the install, I received a call from a woman named Yanina. She identified herself as the helper and stated they would not be coming because one of the installers had called out sick and the other one's father had passed away. I asked if it was possible to get another crew, but she said she was only the helper and they could be back the next morning at 8 AM. I called LL Flooring to explain the situation, to see if they could help as it imapcted several people. I spoke with Joe - who I later found out is the manager at the Albany store - and his response was "things happen in people's lives." I asked for the name and direct number for the installer - Advanced Flooring- and left a message at 9 AM. I did not get a call back until 4:30 from Eric, who, to his credit was on vacation. He said he heard I worked it out with Yanina. I said I expected to hear from an owner or a manager earlier to see if there was some way to salvage the day, or something that would speak to good customer service. That's when I found out Yanina is not only a helper, but "part-owner" of the company. On the morning of install, Yanina and two men arrived. We went over the project. They had delivered quarter round and charged for installation, but we are replacing the baseboard ourselves. She said we could return that. The big issue was the lally columns. I was told that they would cut as close around the columns they could but there was a product I could buy to cover up the base. I told her that was unacceptable as I had paid over $650 for custom work that I had verified it with LL Flooring. I left a message for Advanced Flooring and left for work. I spent approximately 20 minutes with them. They were using the patch to fill in a crack and had already started putting down the vapor barrier. Nick at Advanced Flooring called me back and said they don't do trim around lally columns. I said I was charged over $650 for just that. Nick told me I had only been charged $154. He did not know what the charge for $500 was but he would check with Adam, the estimator, and get back to me. I did not hear back from him so I left a message at the end of the day. I left another message the next morning with no response. I called LL Flooring and spoke with Joe. He told me the $500 was for floor prep and razoring the floor. I told him they had used less than a half bag of patch and the plastic was already down. He said I would have to speak with Advanced Flooring. I told him they were not returning my calls. This morning, I received a call from Eric at Advanced Flooring. He insists the floor was patched and razored and maintains the charge. This was not necessary, just an example of a money grab and there is already a charge for installing the patch. I am awaiting a refund for the cost and associated installation charges for an unused box of flooring, 2 bags of patch, all the quarter round, and 4 of 8 transitions. I questioned the charge for installation of 4 transitions. There are only 2 doorways/openings. Eric said it might be for the trim around the stove. Wait, wasn't that the miscellaneous custom charge? Eric will have to check with the estimator. It's like playing the telephone game, you get bounced back and forth from LL Flooring to Advanced Flooring with a side of calling the estimator to figure out what he was thinking. Communication is terrible. Customer service is terrible. It is completely evident why they make you pay the entire amount up front. I have little confidence that if I ever need to make a warranty claim, it will end well. Looking at the other reviews here, I can see why they have a low rating. read more

LL Flooring has just gone chapter 11. A great way to continue to refuse to honor their warranty. They stall me with requests for info. pictures, videos, inspections. Then hid behind a chapter 11. They are still keeping over 200 stores open but they are allowed to screw their existing customers. Great consumer protection America. Do not touch this dishonorable company. read more

I wish I listened to my gut or these reviews. We were convinced the LL flooring brand was the same as Bruce hardwood floors and my less than a year old hard wood floors are so trashed. I am so upset and will forever regret going with this brand. I hope others stay away from it as well! extremely disappointed and wish I could go back and pick a different brand. read more

We came into this location on Warehouse Blvd it's a bit hidden. We walked in two other groups were looking at flooring. The gentleman did not greet us right away because he was on the phone. It was around 11:00 am on a Saturday but he made eye contact as soon after and offered his help/guidance. They do not have the cheapest install price as we had hoped for it starts at$1.98/ square foot of wood/laminate etc. what I did like was that they do have specials and their price tags show how many square feet more or less is in stock. There is a 1-800 number they give you to contact a flooring expert and schedule a home visit for accurate measurements. We will not be using them this time around for flooring but we may come back for awesome butcher blocks, they're made in house and are customizable. read more

Floor came out great. The 2 men and woman who installed were fantastic. I cannot say the same for the overall experience. Communication with the main office and the contractor was terrible. I had to return hundreds of dollars of product because they over ordered, without asking my opinion of what I wanted. I.e., quarter round up against my trim? No thanks. Disappointed to spend as much as I did and not have an honest contractor working on my behalf. read more

Although the floor is beautiful, the workmanship is shoddy at best! The cuts around the door jambs are not even close to being correct. He installed a a transition strip that was NOT needed, from the hallway into the first floor bathroom as that was previously all level tile floor. That should have been a seamless transition. In the downstairs closet, he didn't nail down the transition strip, it's just sitting there!! In the upstairs bathroom if I hadn't pointed it out to him that he had covered over the heating vent which without the grill in there was plain to see the gap in the floor and wall, would have been left like that! In addition to all the workmanship issues the house was left a mess! There were nails thrown all over from his nail gun..etc! He didn't even attempt to protect other areas of my home! He threw the shoe moulding he removed for along the old flooring on my kitchen floor..nails us..no protection at all! My front door is becoming harder and harder to open since he installed a second transition strip on top of the existing one. I pointed this out to him and he laughed! In an emergency if I had to get out of that door, it could be dangerous. The door knob is getting loose because of the effort it takes to open it. In the event of an emergency this could be dangerous! He did not caulk along the strip he put in near the tub. If the lack of caulking along my tub starts to let in water, that's going to be another headache! That strip, I believe was not meant to go there...I think it was another bad cut that he tried to cover up. He installed shoe moulding in some areas..but no shoe moulding at all in some areas. I was told to go out and buy the moulding to fill in the areas he missed, just like I was told to buy caulk for around the tub! WAIT..didn't I hire someone to do all this for me??? His car left an oil stain in driveway from his car. Which my security camera captured by showing his car backing into my driveway in the morning and NO oil spot. And the second showing the oil spot there! These guys are called PIC's..."Professional" Independent Contractors. I couldn't disagree more! Until LL Flooring employs contractors that care about the job that they do...I cannot, and will NOT recommend LL Flooring. read more

I have left numerous voice messages to him and have reached out to the store who keeps stating they will contact him, all to no avail. Condescending young salesman tries to tell us our golden oak piece of flooring is red oak and it doesnt match the floor samples because each piece of red oak wood is different. Then, he turns away from us and laughs at us as we're leaving. Maybe that's why no one else was in the store. Unprofessional customer service. Previously did two houses over with LL, never again! Came here the other week with my family friends who were looking to buy new flooring for their house. It's a pretty good sized warehouse, with lots of options. I rarely do yelp reviews but I had to because one of the employees was a total sweetheart to us. His name was Jeff and he was so patient with us. Took time to explain all of our options (and my aunt is a yapper and doesn't stop talking so trust me this required patience) and made us feel very comfortable. We were initially looking around by ourselves until he actually introduced himself and asked us what we were looking for. My family friends were so grateful for him helping them out. I believe they ended up buying the flooring and I honestly think they wouldn't have if it wasn't for Jeff's courtesy. It's rare when you have an associate that actually care about serving the customers not just trying to get a buy out of you. They were very happy with their purchase and I know they will be back!!!!! read more

I had to call the corporate customer service resolution center (who were very friendly & accommodating) to straighten him out. Customer service at point of sale was great. After that it went downhill fast and quickly became a nightmare. Orders were not shipped in time for installation. contractor sent to quote the job was unprofessional (and so I hired a private installer), store make returns impossible and you will have to get the store to do the right thing by going through corporate. My installer (who I should have gone with for EVERYTHING) was very unhappy with the quality of the milling on the flooring, which made his job harder than it had to be. Spend the extra money and go elsewhere!! read more

The sales associate we had been dealing with, Dominic, really went above and beyond to explain to me the issue and even made a follow up call at nearly 7:00 to let me know that our flooring was safe and not even made in china. It is not surprising to me that Lumber Liquidators stores are closing. I purchased cork flooring and wanted it installed. However the LL installers said I lived too far away. They wouldn't come. Two years later I tried to purchase boxes of molding but found that the price had more than doubled. Service there has always been slow and employees confused about their products. They used to advertise on NPR -- generally a good recommendation -- but no longer. I would not recommend this outfit. read more

This rating is probably a bit premature. I ordered flooring for my home, online. I have everything ready for the floors to be delivered, and a team waiting to do the installation. I paid half up- front, and the remainder plus the delivery fee is due now. I received a call stating they were ready to make arrangements for the delivery. I called back and spoke to Luke. He informed me that I have to go to the store, in person, to show them my ID! What is the sense if ordering on-line then? They had absolutely no problem charging my credit card and they are delivering- why could I not show the technician my license- or even fax it to the store? Even if I were buying the floors for someone else, they wouldn't have an issue taking the money! I'm disabled and I don't live anywhere close..... This really doesn't make any sense at all. Had they told me this, up-front, I might have taken my business elsewhere.... Just a huge inconvenience.... If I ever get the floors, I will write another review. read more

So I am trying to return my "special order", and Lumber Liquidators refuses to honor their return policy. I have not even opend any of the boxes, I am under the 30 day return policy. I have read terrible reviews on this product I have purchased and how other customers have been dealt with very poorly.
