Do not spend your money with this company. I had them come measure my house to replace all the flooring after they discontinued my previous flooring. To avoid them discontinuing the floor we purchased, I asked them to measure the whole house, including the dining room and kitchen, so I'd have the flooring on hand when we were ready to redo that part of the house. The installers are here now, and Lumber Liquidators didn't order enough material. On top of the large bill they already gave me, I now have to pay even more out of pocket because they failed to order enough for the whole house. Conveniently, their regional managers don't speak to customers. SCAM! read more

Bad experience.... Got a marked down product but didn't know it was designated millrun - meaning defects in the product. We ordered 38 boxes and had to throw away 40% of the product as the quality was so botched up. We were told millrun should only have 10% bad product. We ended up having to purchase an extra 8 boxes to finish the job when we should have had a decent amount left over from our original order. Our end result was not what we wanted as it has defects that we had to live with. I will end up getting splinters from what should be a brand new 3/8 wood flooring. read more

Great store and employees. I was promptly greeted by Chris who was more than happy to help me get the proper flooring for our project. He found me a sample of the product in the warehouse to take home and compare the colors. A few days later and one more visit, the flooring was ordered. Thanks to Chris and his entire crew. Everyone was professional and polite !!! I will update after delivery and install. Update 12/ 18: Delivery was prompt and within time frame promised. The floor is in and it looks great. Actually, I am rating the Bamboo Flooring I bought at Lumber Liquidators a year ago, not this particular LL. Although -- their customer service is not terrible, it's really not wonderful either. In principle, I like Bamboo. It's durable and sustainable. But the finish on the Morning Star Bamboo that LL sells is NOT. After a year of low/no traffic, felt padded chair legs, and general pampering, this floor finish looks like a bad fight with an alley cat. Scratches EVERYWHERE!!! Really disappointing. read more

Another time I wish they would allow to give zero stars. In a word incompetent. They scam you on their return policy after they screw up. After giving me the wrong product to finish a job at my house they accept the material back as a store credit. Then when I return the excess unopened boxes I have to wait 3-4 weeks for a refund to me mailed to me. Ridiculous. When they did not have the correct material they accepted the wrong material, issued me a store credit, charged me the difference for the correct material and then sent me 20 miles away to another store the night before Thanksgiving to pick it up. Why? Oh I know, so that store could get credit for the sale. Word of advice, next time you need wood, go to your back yard and chop it down yourself. read more

Very happy with the product and service of this store. Chris especially was very helpful with everything and made sure we got all our product in on time. Had to come by a couple times to pick up extra materials and they were very helpful and organized and had better prices, service and product than Home Depot. Make sure to get Bellawood Floor Care System--they didn't explain it to me--but it has all the materials you need for floor upkeep (sliders, felt pads, scratch remover, flat mop, cleaner). Very happy with final product. Never used Lumber Liquidators before, but would highly recommend this location for any wood/laminate flooring product. read more

I can't say enough good things about the Lumber Liquidators store near Hillsborough, NJ. My wife and I visited there a week before we purchased our flooring and it was a pleasant, no pressure experience and Chris and his team answered all our questions about the products and installation. We returned the following week and purchased our flooring which we installed ourselves. The quality of the Bella wood flooring and the technical information provided was excellent. Lumber Liquidators has a customer for life. I wouldn't consider buying anywhere else. read more

I visited the store to get hardwood flooring done in our house and met with Ken, his responses were very sarcastic and attitude was very poor. I asked him the difference between two hardwood floors that I like and his response was "this is this and that is that". He also seemed less knowledgeable. I had the worst experience in this store. 1)When I came in at 25 min before close, I was told right away that they are closing so I need to be real quick 2)When I look at the displayed sample, the guy rudely told me not to touch at all 3) When I asked a sample before leave they refused to give me the sample unless I provide detailed information (shipping address, phone etc.). Horrible customer service. The salesman was unprofessional and rude. He was almost yelling at me a woman as I was asking if I can get flooring without too many grooves. He clearly had better things to do than explain to a customer the flooring options. He even yelled at me saying 'You clearly do not understand me and I can't explain it anymore' walking away. I guess my slight accent or my lack of understanding flooring or me being a woman was an issue to him. Then he added more insults saying if I don't want any 'grooves' I should 'go buy linoleum.' Complete jerk. Do NOT recommend this place or their sales people who treat women with such disrespect. Update: went to another store in Woodbridge and the salesperson took the time to explain flooring options to me and explained what I meant was 'beveled' edges. As a woman, it is already intimidating trying to buy this stuff and I appreciate salesmen who respect others and try to explain flooring as I'm not a specialist. read more

Poorly run and poor attitudes. The people who are currently running the business are terrible. When I have called they don't return phone calls when they say they will . When I go in person, I receive poor customer service and VERY POOR ATTITUDE from the people there. They are only worried about getting commissions on every single dollar they can - it was actually strange to see them more concerned about getting credit for an $18 item instead of best helping a customer. Do yourself a favor and go to the Lumber Liquidators in East Brunswick. They are better run and offer real customer service. Much more professional and they helped me out when the one in Hillsborough wouldn't. Worst Customer Service Ever!! I purchased 29 boxes of bamboo floor a month before they were suppose to be installed since bamboo has to acclimate to the house for 3 weeks. On February 1st Lumber Liquidators comes to install the floors. They noticed half the floors where coming out a completely different color then the other half. All the boxes had the same skew but one box was dark brown wood the others were golden in color. I ordered floors called Honey which were lighter floors but darker floors came out of the Honey Boxes and floors called Anji came out of the lighter box. In the store displays and online Honey is the light color. Both boxes looked the same with the same Skew number. Why would a company skew a completely different product with the same Skew? I tired calling the store close to 20 times and no one would pick up. Not sure of what to do I called corporate and they said they couldn't get a hold of the Hillsborough store either. The installers and myself had to wait over a hour to hear back from the store just to be told they had to call us back, more time went by and I had to send the installers home since they floors couldn't go in. At least 5 hours later I still didn't hear back from the store or corporate, even after requesting a district manager to call me. Customer care didn't even have the number for their own area manager to call for them to reach out to me. I went into the store and Kenneth told me and the two other people I was with that "he was too busy to help us" and tired telling us that Its normal what I have received even after their customer care told me I got half the wrong floors.After we asked what he was going to do to fix this problem he got loud and walked out of the showroom and into the warehouse saying "HE DOESN'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS" He claimed he was the assistant manager on the phone but then we were told in the store he wasn't management. Which is it? His actions where completely out of line and disrespectful to me and the two other people I was with. After getting no where with the store I opened a corporate case and was told I was assigned a case manger (Stephanie). I still have yet got a call from her and she is never at her desk. I just called and was told she is not working today after asking to speak to someone that's working currently the lady told me no one else can help me. How does this company run with no one on staff. Chris the Store manager called me the next day after we found out the floors where wrong telling me he will try to locate the rest of the floor I wanted. That was Tuesday today is Thursday and still no call back from him or anyone. After multiple request by email and phone to speak to a higher up management no one has bothered to call me in the past four days. I have useless floors filling up my house that are in the way of contractors that can't finish the work now. I now can not move in to my house on time since I don't have any floors. Even if they can locate the correct floors right away I would still have to wait 3 more weeks to have the new floor acclimate to the house. read more
