Update - 02/01/21: Love it when a company takes pride in their brand and product. Lumber Liquidators came out, looked at our floor and proposed 2 solutions. We went with the easiest fix for both parties, instead of a complete re-install, which still stayed a possibility if the easy one did not work. They got more flooring and trim; then set up Donny and his crew to come and fix the problems. The easier fix worked and we now have no gap at the register, room for the wood to expand/contract at the bookcase and, the bulky, non-matching threshold strip was replaced with a much better match. When they say they guarantee their work, they mean it. Thank you, Lumber Liquidators for your integrity. read more

I am not satisfied with this resolution. When the claim was opened, I submitted pictures of my flooring. The customer care specialists stated that in her opinion it was placement and not defective product. I have attached in this email pictures from the website of how the floor is displayed and pictures of what I actually received. At that time, she scheduled for an assessment. I had a supervisor out for an assessment on April 7th. He submitted a report to LL Flooring that the plank placement was not staggered properly and with it being a glue down that it would all need to be pulled up and reinstalled. In addition, I went to the store where purchased and the manager opened a box of material that was on the same LOT as I received. Out of the entire box only 2 planks had excessive WHITE DOT MARKINGS. Also to point out, the stair nose was cut wrong. Instead of replacing it with a new trim piece, a triangle was glued on the end. WHO DOES THAT ON A BRAND NEW INSTALL?? They are requiring me to send back an entire unopened box (that I paid for) for testing before they will address the installation. I asked for a refund of the box being mailed off and they said refunds are not done and the box would be returned to me in several weeks. The biggest kicker to all of this terrible experience, is my name was FORGDED on docu-sign documents. There was to be a CHECK-IN document signed at 100 sq ft on install and at completion. I NEVER SAW OR SIGNED EITHER!!! Money was to be held in escrow for the installer payment until I was satisfied and signed off on the project. However, I did not sign a completion satisfaction document and the installation company was PAID! Now that everyone has their money, no one is taking responsibility for the horrible workmanship and/or the product that was misrepresented. read more

I have had a good experience with LL Flooring in St. Peters. I found them very helpful when selecting a product and ordering it, and the quality was exactly what I expected. The issue I have is with the installers. The end result of the floor is very nice, but they damaged a few items including a wall and didn't address it. I contacted the coordinator for the installers and let them know as well and still not addressed. read more

I bought my hardwood and till the delivery no big issue. The guy that installed the flooring that was supposed to be installed in 2 days took 14 days. He did not show up to the appointment and every day a different excuse, very unpolite and very dirty. He wasted a lot of hardwood totaling 4 boxes. On top of that, he did don't give me back my key and I need to call his boss it back, the worse experience ever. read more

I had purchased from them in the past without any major problems, but this time is different! I think the difference is that last time I installed the flooring myself. This time I paid for installation from them. They hire 3rd party companies to do the install. Well, there were problems from the start! First, I had to write a letter of complaint to the corporate office about the unprofessionalism of the store manager (made promises to investigate and/or call back and he never kept them). Then, it took 2 weeks before anyone even called to set an appointment. After that, there was too much humidity in the room! Finally, the floor was not perfectly level and they could not legally install the flooring! They never mentioned any of this until the last minute even though I had told them that I was on a deadline! I told them that I would get someone else to install it. I requested a refund of the installation fee on 9/4/18. I still have not received it yet!! Even though, if you owe them money, they will threaten you to get it the next day! All you get is the old "the check is in the mail" routine! I don't have a problem with their material or supplies, it's the customer service that sucks! read more

Edit 3/25/20: I emailed them over a week ago in response to the reply they left on my review. We have yet to hear from anyone-- We loved our new flooring that we purchased from Mike, however, there were issues with the finish. There was a "white film" on half of the flooring that we noticed once it was being installed. We called Lumber Liquidators and were told to email them a photo and they would take a look at it. A few hours later passed with no response- we called and they said it was hard to tell from the photos and asked us to bring a piece in. We brought a piece in and they agreed there was something wrong with it. After over an hour at the store, they told us to bring the damaged boxes back and they would switch them out with new flooring that they had in stock. 43 boxes had to be exchanged which was almost an entire pallet. Needless to say, we had to still pay our flooring installer for his time on Saturday morning for us just to have to rip it out. Mike asked us how much we paid him but as of right now we have still not been reimbursed. We got a "price adjustment" because our flooring is now on sale. We would of received the price adjustment regardless if there was an issue or not since they have a 30 day price adjustment guarantee. An entire day was wasted ripping the floor out and exchanging it. And after we got all the new flooring loaded Mike made the remark of "and you thought you were going to have your flooring done today" and laughed. I didn't think it was very funny! If you purchase flooring from here CHECK ALL THE BOXES prior to instillation! We were referred here from a family member, who has made many purchases here and no longer will be recommending this place to others. read more

Highly recommend!! We had been shopping for flooring for a while for our new home and after visiting all of the big box home stores we walked into Lumber Liquidators. We had a floor sample from another store that we liked but it was a little too pricey. They were able to find a floor that was almost identical in appearance but higher quality and significantly cheaper. Customer service was amazing and the employee was very knowledgable. Horrible customer service. Salesman told me to buy 24 boxes when I needed 17. Was not able to figure out which transition strip I needed given a laminate to vinyl doorway. I was luck to be able to Google my answers and get my order done. When we had troubles with warped boards and such, management took hours to return phone calls after telling us it would be 10 mins. I was then told an installer would call me and I have still yet to get that phone call. I ended up calling a 3rd party union floor layer to come install the floor with me and paid him instead of giving more money to this company. Overall, the quality of the product is sub par. The customer service is not existent. I would never recommend them to my friends, family, or even my enemies. read more

After witnessing the manager almost break a customers tail gate. And then curse at him and tell him he had to deal with it. That was just crazy to see. Thank God it wasn't our tail gate or we would have flipped shit. But besides the asshole manager,(the guy with the beard) the two other employees were absolutely awesome. Bigger guy and a younger guy, so that's the reason it gets a 2/5. It would be a 0 if it was just that manager. After we saw what he did to the other guy. We had them put the 5600lbs of flooring on the ground for us to load by hand. Didn't trust that manager not to break our tailgate. read more

Do not get your flooring from this business. They sent two "estimators" to my home to estimate the entire first floor, which included the half bath on the same level. The estimators looked very, very unprofessional with basketball shoes, jersey sideways baseball cap. However, the price seemed better than the competitors and the flooring type was not available with the competitor, so we opted to go through with the installation. The installers really made this terrible for us. Firstly, they left the garage door and the door to the garage open the entire day they were there. My husband and I were upstairs the whole time and noticed several rather large flies appear in our bedroom. When my husband went downstairs to investigate, he found both installers on their knees installing the floors with the door to the garage wide open. They were in our home from 8am until 4pm with the door open. And the next day after they left and the house had cooled off, we noticed it was rather chilly. Turns out, these installers not only left our door open the entire day, but they also had the audacity to adjust the temperature on our thermostat WHILE the door was open all day. At the end of the project, one of the installers advises he needs more materials, including more flooring. This angered me because he waited until the end of the project to tell us about the materials he knew he didn't have. So, we had to go back to the store and buy more materials just so they could finish. Once we finished, the installers refused to reinstall the toilet they had to take out to put the flooring into the half bath. We had been told this prior, but still couldn't believe it when he stated it again. So, we signed off on the project stating the work had been completed. And then had to hire a separate contractor to come and put our toilet back into place for us since it was just sitting in our garage (they didn't even empty the tank). So, a week later, we get a rather threatening voicemail from Dave at the store stating we had a balance that needed to be paid by close of business on the next day. When I called Dave back, he stated there were extra services added on at the time of installation that we signed off on. Dave advised that the removal of the toilet was added on as well as some trim an removal of a baseboard. I didn't understand how the removal of a toilet wasn't added into the original estimate, especially since Lumber Liquidators sent their employees to measure the area and provide an estimate. The installers started installing the floors in the half bath first, so they knew perfectly well that this area had been included in the estimate. How else would you install flooring in a bathroom without first removing the toilet??? Dave didn't know. Dave, instead, told me to ask the estimators why it wasn't included. When asked who estimated my home, Dave stated he did not know and that it was either Ted of Jeff. I asked Dave to look on the estimate (I was at work and could not refer to it) or in his system to advise exactly who estimated my property. Dave stated that it did not say in their system and could not explain to me how their store could not know or have any record of who they sent to my home to estimate my property. Then, Dave told me that I had signed a form with the installers agreeing to the extra charges. When I stated to Dave that what I signed simply stated that the work had been completed, he proceeded to ask me, "So, are you saying this is not your signature? Are you saying the installers forged it?" Dave was very unprofessional and unhelpful. When it was demanded that I speak with his manager, Dave stated he was the manager. After clarifying with David that I didn't ask to speak with A manager, I asked to speak with HIS manager, he finally identified Calvin Robertson as his manager, but stated he could not give out his phone number and to call their corporate office for this information. Dave also refused to give me his last name. He stated he could not give it to me over the phone, therefore, I plan to go there when I finish my work day and demand it in person. I have put in a call to their corporate office and started a case. This truly is my fault for going with a "discount" flooring company. If we weren't just installing new flooring because we're planning to sell the place in the near future, we would've gone with better flooring with a better company. The old adage, "you get what you pay for" has never rang truer in my mind. In short, do not get flooring from this place. Their estimators half-ass their job and the sales reps have no clue what they are doing. Half of them look either mentally challenged (inbred?) or appear to have just graduated from high school this past May. Installers were ok ,although there was only one on two separate days ,It took an entire week and a half to do the whole first floor.We had several boxes of flooring left over and we were told the would take back 5 unopened, although the contractor opened the ones we left sealed . My wife Called and they said " we will have to see ,bring them out " . FIVE boxes of flooring ,yeah right ,just toss those in the car . She called the contractor and they took it back . There are so many other issues , They are just so unprofessional, and we have never heard a peep from them ,they have never called or checked on the job once it was done . First let me state that the floor material is awesome. The Store clerks were very knowledgeable about the products. The installers were good and professional and quick. Let me also say, we did all the furniture moving and removal of the baseboards ourselves. because the cost for this service was quite inflated. My problem is with the miss information we were given about the install process. For what we paid for the instillation of one room and a small closet, I feel they could have brought the product the day of install (ie picked it up the day they were coming for the install). I was told that was not possible due to the floor having to be acclimated to its surrounding temperature. So my husband had to go pick up the VERY heavy boxes and place them in the empty living room (He is strong, but we are not young people). Later I found out this was not the fact for the product we purchased. Secondly, when paying per square foot, we should only need to buy the square foot needed, and pay the instillation fee of said exact square footage, but we ended up with 8 extra planks from a box of 10 that was not needed. We apparently paid for all this extra material AND that much more per square foot for instillation. When called to see if we could return the gross overage (of the material NOT expecting a refund for instillation overage), I was told it was the policy that only unopened boxes are able to be returned. If WE had measured and did the estimate I could see that being the case, but we paid them to come out and measure and estimate. I feel bad for the store clerks who have to field these questions with the answers they are told to give by the parent company. I am not sure we would ever deal with them again and that is a shame as I stated, the product is great, the clerks were good and the installers good. Too bad the estimating is off and we had to pay more for both product and fees. read more

The installation of the hardwood flooring I purchased (ash) was stellar--Bob's crew did beautiful work (of RW flooring, working for LL) with a tight timeline so that I'll be able to move in on time tomorrow morning. Jeff, in particular, did a great job. The corners were beautifully mitered on the steps. The stairnose was solid and true. He made sure to stagger the boards so that the natural patterns and differences in the wood were complemented throughout the house. They did a great job! read more

An absolute pleasure to do business with. I took my time and shipped all the competition and the big box stores. My first time in this store I knew who I was going to go with. All the employees I dealt with during my visit were knowledgeable and professional. A refreshing change from the normal pushy sales people you tend to find in these types of stores. They took their time and listed to my wants and needs and directed me to the products that would best suit my needs, never once did they use any pushy sales tactics. They answered all of my questions and walked me through the entire process. I ended up taking a few samples on my first visit and even received a follow up phone call a few days later to see how the samples looked in my home. Once I made my final decision I stopped back in and the entire buying process was smooth and painless. I was able to leave the store with the bulk of my materials, they did however have to order some finishing pieces and told me that it would take 0-14 days to get in. I was pleasently surprised when I got a phone call after only seven days that the rest of my order was in. I can say they have the best prices on quality flooring that I could find anywhere and the people were some of the most knowledgeable people I spoke with during my floor shopping adventures. After working with the other Lumber Liquidators in town to find my dream flooring, my DIY husband suggested I turn to them again for moulding and trim. I took several samples from the other location, and when I went to purchase it--last minute, the day before I wanted to start work on the project--they didn't have what I needed in stock. The manager offered to order it for me, but I told him I hoped to start the project the next day. But! Just proving to me once again that the customer service far exceeds that of the big box home improvement stores, the manager at my local store in Fenton, contacted the manager at this location, who had the product in stock! Hooray! I drove to this location, and it was easy to find just off the interstate. When I arrived I found this store different than the other in layout, but neat and tidy (including the ladies room), and the salesmen helpful and welcoming. I mentioned my last name, they pulled the order up on the computer, the manager, Tory, had already retrieved the items from his warehouse and had them set aside for me. I swiped my card, signed my name, the manager himself walked the product to my car and loaded it while showing care for my vehicle and the children riding with our new trim work! I was out the door, loaded and on my way in less time than it would have taken to return a shopping cart to a cart corral at a competitor. And tomorrow? Tomorrow I will have new baseboards installed by a smiling husband that has everything he needs to finish our project. I cannot be more pleased with my flooring, my new baseboards, or the SUPERB customer service I received from the manager Tory and his team...as an extension of my local store.
