This review is all factual....but I'm sure CVM/Cid will say otherwise. Before going into my long rant below. I encourage anyone looking to hire CVM to view CVM's Better Business Bureaus (BBB). CVM has earned an F rating according to the BBB. I've also gone to small claims court and won, wherein CVM/Cid Moreira lost and was supposed to pay for damages; still haven't received. My CVM review. I had purchased LVP flooring with the intent of installing it myself. Unfortunately, I ran out of time and needed to sub out this work. CVM was available to install the flooring on short notice. I chose this company based off of the glowing google reviews and hired CVM to install the remaining floor in December 2022. Bottom Line Up Front: THE JOB WAS BOTCHED by one of CVM's employee's (improper transitions, large gaps where there shouldn't be, and no gaps where there should have been), see attached photos. Upon contacting Cid about the many issues, he became very defensive, aggressive, and adamant it was installed correctly. I remember being told a few times, "That I'm not a professional and I do not know what I'm talking about." I invited Cid Moreira (owner of CVM) to come view the job in person to which he declined. I did try on multiple occasions to have the installation issues addressed without any third-party involvement, but no actions were taken by CVM. There was a miscommunication about the job site prep. I felt that I had spoken about the site prep via the scoping texts/calls, and it was understood by CVM. During the CVM installation job, I never received a phone call that the jobsite was not prepared properly. In February of 2023, I filed a complaint against CVM through the BBB. To my surprise CVM did not have a glowing record as represented by the google, yelp, etc. reviews. After a single exchange Cid, denied any responsibility and stopped responding to the BBB, which in turn resulted in the complaint being filed as unresolved. Cid's only response to the BBB was that the site was not properly prepped. If that was the case why did CVM go ahead with improper installation? Why didn't you call me (In court Cid claimed he did, my phone records show otherwise), instead of ruining my flooring? Why didn't you refuse the job? ...I digress. After the non-response by CVM, I started calling other flooring installers to see if the issues could be fixed. I spoke to 10-15 different professionals, and all were amazed at how bad the job was.... there was laughter from one contractor, another told me I was scammed, one of the contractors that came out was beside himself and noted all the issues one by one.... All and all, not a single contractor was willing to repair CVM's work. All the contractors unanimously said I would need to pull up all work done by CVM, buy new flooring, and re-install. If you could imagine $$$$ to replace, but I'm also out the original flooring costs and CVM's fee. At this point I contacted a lawyer. After reviewing my case, the lawyer suggested I go to small claims court. Primary reasons being I would have to put up a lot of money up front for lawyer fees, I would likely win, but there was a very minimal chance Cid/CVM would payout (something about legal loopholes that shady business owners exploit). So, I decided to go to small claims. Following up on one other helpful recommendation by the lawyer. I hired a flooring inspector, I didn't know these people existed, and he identified a myriad of issues and provided a 50-page report of the shortcomings of CVM's work. I went to small claims court in July 2023 with all of the pictures of CVMs handywork and inspection report. The court sided with me and ordered CVM to pay for the damages. I had reached out to Cid to collect on a few occasions to be met with no response. To date, Cid/CVM has not paid out. If he does, I'd be more than happy to edit this review. Why was I charged to replace a damaged piece of flooring that was installed by your employee and not my fault and not my job to inspect every piece that's installed by a person who doesn't speak English? That's why I hired your company to properly install my flooring and not steal my staircase nosing!!! All materials were provided by me and their was no reason to remove my extra flooring materials!!! You over charged me by $150 with the extra nosing that was removed without permission!!! read more

I contacted Cid Moreira, the owner of CVM Enterprises Inc, and he gave me an estimate on December 22, 2021. He was very nice when he came to my home to measure and help me pick out flooring for the basement. He said he could only order the material if I put down half the payment, which I did. The first time I asked for an itemized information regarding what he spent my money on and warranty information was on December 27, 2021. To this day, he will not send me warranty information. I've asked him multiple times over the course of three months. My initial installation was scheduled for January 17, 2022. However, the installation date was eventually pushed back until February 21, 2022, mostly because of supply problems and scheduling conflicts. On February 22, 2022, I again asked for material costs and warranty information. Mr. Moreira completely ignored my request again. On February 27, 2022, I sent Mr. Moreira video and pictures of things the workers messed up on, which I will attach here if possible. These video/pictures included: glue footprints and glue that was all over the floor, a piece of flooring on the front of one of the stairs that was not glued properly and was coming off, stairs that were cut inconsistently and were very noticeable, holes in the walls, the baseboards were reinstalled very sloppy and crooked. Mr. Moreira told me that a painter would have to fix the walls and the holes were due to the thickness of the carpet that was there before, but I'm not so sure that is entirely true. On this day, I also requested warranty information again. He completely ignored this request again. Mr. Moreira sent a guy back to fix the problems on March 5, 2022. The guy reglued the front of the stairs that were coming off. He put caulking in the rest of the areas where the flooring was cut crooked. He said he couldn't do anything about the baseboards because they were already cut. I understood that they were already cut, but I know they were perfectly installed before being removed and reinstalled by CVM Enterprises. I took a before video. On Thursday, March 24, 2022, I again requested warranty information and let Mr. Moreira know that it was important for me to have this information in case of damage and that I had been requesting the information for months. I also let him know that when I was prepping the space for painting (I had to repaint the area around the baseboards because they were moved down due to the difference between the height of carpet and the newly installed LVP), I found a couple pieces of flooring that were not glued down properly and were coming up and also that one of the baseboards had been broken in half and just haphazardly nailed back to the wall in pieces. I sent him video and pictures of these complaints. At this point, I didn't want any of them back in my home because I was just disappointed about all that had gone wrong and my unanswered questions. Also, on the above date, Mr. Moreira finally responded to my request about material costs. He said, "The material cost it's on me I have you a full price for labor and material how much it cost was up to me!!". Basically, what he is saying is that he won't tell me what he spent my money on. This is absolutely wrong! All in all, I will never do business with this company again because of how careless they were with installation and how I was kept in the dark about material costs and Mr. Moreira is basically refusing to give me warranty information (both installation warranty and manufacturer warranty information). I gave him my hard-earned money to do something nice for my house to increase the value and make the basement an enjoyable space. After all that has happened, I really feel like the installers and the owner did not care about the job they did. It was also difficult to communicate with the installers because I don't speak Portuguese and they didn't speak English. Mr. Moreira never did a walk through after installation. We had Luxury Vinyl Planking installed on all three floors of our condominium. It was a big job. Approximately 1900 square feet total. Cid came out the first day of install and translated to his worker what to do. Cid showed up occasionally at lunch to check on the job. There were a few things that needed to be done differently than previously thought. That was all fine. It was our own fault not to be more observant during installation. The stair nose at the top of the stairs now has frayed carpet. The carpet was not stretched far enough and cut. It shows frayed. Even after coming back out to correct the issue. It's still frayed. They did correct a problem I had with flooring in the master bath. Which Cid said he could not see. Well it was fixed by our installer Igor. So Cid, yes something was wrong! Also a broke or separation of planking was corrected. The only thing that was unacceptable was the frayed carpet. The carpet could not be stretched to cover the fray. So it's still unacceptable to us. Not to mention the carpet left on the stairs was ruined with black spots and glue. Cid told us our carpet was old already before the job started. My carpet was clean and only four years old. Cid said the job was complete and that the corrections were made. I have to mention Cid was very hard to get hold of after the installation to present the mistakes that were made. So we were glad Igor was back to fix the mistakes. Igor was a fast worker. He did this job all on his own with no help. He would work from early in the morning till late evening. Cid mentioned to my husband that Igor was a "work whore". So you can see how he feels about his employees. Igor didn't even understand English so if we had any concerns they needed to be explained to Cid directly. In addition, materials ordered. We were told by Cid to purchase 3 stair noses. We only needed 2. He told us when we complained that it could not be returned and we were out $250. He told us seriously to sell on Marketplace!! What a professional haha ! I would never recommend this company to anyone. We now have a broken plank in our laundry room. We will have to fix it ourselves with what we have left. Plus Cid seems to always be out of town ! Maybe he should work closer with paying customers! Very poor service. Sure when he bids the job he's as nice and friendly as can be. Not such a nice guy. I was not comfortable even writing this review. I just want to forget this horrible stressful experience! read more

Cid came by to give me a free estimate within 24 hours of my reaching out about a vinyl flooring installation project in our sunroom. And within 48 hours, we had a brand new sunroom floor fully installed and new baseboards and floor trim added for a very reasonable price. Cid was very prompt and courteous, and he helped us talk through our underlayment and trim options to decide what would work best for our space. To say these guys did and awesome job is an understatement. I couldn't be more pleased. This was a very difficult job. The floor have had carpet for years. The carpet was old looking and worn, however the floors were even worse underneath. There were missing planks, uneven soft spots, vinyl floor tile half taken off, it was a mess. Cid came to the job knowing the floors were horrible. I gave him full disclosure over the phone. I really anticipated him seeing the floors and walking away. A few days prior that's what happened with a different company. Cid was very personable, professional, knowledgeable, informative and fair. He laid out exactly what was going to have to take place with the job and then did the measurements. Now came the part me as a customer dread, the quote. I was floored when he gave me the numbers. The quote was very fair and he said he could get started right away. I was having three rooms done. It took a day and a few hours to complete. The crew worked very diligently to complete the job. They also cleaned as they worked. When they were done the floor looked great. The crew put everything back as they found it. With CVM you can't go wrong.
