I do visit other consignment shops but find things here more often than at others'. Last time I went, the second half of the store seems to be some "booths," sort of like the Design Archives on Front Street. I didn't like some of those items as much - not necessarily to my taste - but I still browsed, and I think that makes the store more enjoyable for people with all kinds of asethics. So we looked at the woman, then at each other and simultaneously walked out the door. I understand the concept of wanting to leave on time, but that's never the way to treat a customer. I know personally if I feel rushed, I'm not going to buy anything. Customer service is an important part of any business and if that fails, everything else will too. Hopefully they'll work on improving theirs, but either way I won't be returning.

I ordered the traditional cinnamon roll and a sea salt chocolate chip cookie. The cinnamon roll had really good flavor, especially the frosting and dough, and I thought the cinnamon-to-roll ratio was perfect. It was served slightly warm, but I did find the roll to be a little dry. The cookie, however, was easily my favorite. The combination of chocolate chips and sea salt was so good that I would honestly go back for a dozen cookies before getting another cinnamon roll. The customer service was pretty standard and not particularly personable, but the food was the main reason I stopped in. Overall, I enjoyed trying the spot, and that cookie definitely gave me a reason to come back.

I had a leak in my lower level and called my plumber. He said it wasn't a plumbing issue it was a…read moreshower floor issue. I asked if they knew any companies. I have used Excel Plumbing past decade and trust who they trust. They offered up Solid State Tile and gave me their number. I glanced at Yelp before calling and it was the week of Christmas. Owner came out next day to look, we were with his tile person next day, and on the schedule that week. We picked out tile and the hardest part is waiting for that to arrive. With the holidays it was a wait. Once the materials were in they got us on the schedule within a week. Process is professional and different people come to do different things. They have a great foreman that sets everything up. Demo Crew, membrane crew, tile crew, and drywall guy. All of the people at my house representing this company were great. Tile is expensive, I understand more what drives the price after seeing the process. We only chose to replace the floor and had to go a foot up all around. Tile company they had us work with helped keep us near budget and match up the new tile to matches the old tile in our 20 year old house. So in the pics they did everything on the floor and the beautiful stripe. Wife loves new drain. Hate to have a leak but new one came with lifetime guarantee. I would definitely recommend this company. Work was top notch. They were easy to communicate with and responded to all my calls, texts or emails.

I had a horrible leak that spread throughout the kitchen rotting the wood underneath the parquet…read morewooden floor. It was a disaster and caused mold. Solid State tile did a wonderful job replacing the rotted wood and then put down a lovely ceramic tile. They did a great job and it was done quickly and professionally. It was a hard job for them to have to move all of the big appliances and cabinets but they did it well. When it was done everything was back in place and new floor looks great!
