Unfortunately similar story...Remote on my GF car stopped working, key was not opening the door, and we could not get the car opened. Called AAA they opened the car and the guy recommended Leo to come by and fix the remote or lock. I had called another locksmith and they quoted $150 for the remote and $150 for the key / lock if that was the issue. Anyway, Leo came out and my GF dealt with him and assumed he would be fixing or working on both but only worked on the remote. Car is old and remote is basic. CALL YOUR DEALER IF YOU ARE LOCKED OUT OF YOUR CAR OR NEED A CAR KEY CUT , IT WILL BE CHEAPER AND YOU WON'T BE SCAMMED!!! On August 3rd, 2020, I went to the UPS center at 4859 W. Slauson Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90056. I went there to have a document notarized. My car key was next to me on the table and SOMEONE STOLE IT! It was nearing 5:00pm. My friend showed up to lend support. He found a locksmith on Yelp who said they would be able to cut a key, code it to my car and get me on the road. This sounded exactly what I needed. My disabled brother was wilting and I needed to get him home. He told my friend that the price was 280 but then when my friend called him back to see where he was, he then changed his tune and said, I have to see what I'm dealing with. The locksmith guy, Leo, arrived looked at the car, took off the guard covering the ignition. He looked at something and then he went back to his truck and began cutting the key. He spent a lot of time attempting to get the car to accept the key code. He opened the hood, looked at the engine. We were standing there for close to an hour waiting on him to finish. He tells us my theft system did not accept the key. He told me that the key that he has was straight from the manufacturer and the key is good, it was my system that was faulty and since I had not upgraded my theft system, the key wouldn't operate the vehicle. The key turned the car on but the engine wouldn't start. He suggested we turn the engine on wait 10 minutes, watch for theft light to go off and if that didn't work take it to the dealer and they would charge me 35 dollars to code the system to the key. He offered us a 35 dollar refund and told us to call him the next day. He was in a hurry to leave, charged us 389.00 dollars. He gave us the keys, left the hood of the car up and took off. The next morning I had the car towed to the Nissani Chevrolet Service Department. I told the service department everything the locksmith guy told me and gave them the keys. A few hours later I get a call from the service department. They told me the key that the locksmith gave me wouldn't respond to the code. They made THREE attempts and that key the locksmith cut was NO GOOD! It was an AFTER MARKET KEY and they had to recut me another key. We called the "locksmith" THREE TIMES and he would not respond to our calls instead a woman answered the phone and said that she would give him the message. It was only after calling from a blocked phone number, THE FOURTH TIME, did he respond. He SCREAMED at me and was angry that I called from a blocked number. He said his name was Sam. He continued to YELL and I told him to hold on and listen. He continued to YELL and then he SLAMMED the phone down. When I called back, it went straight to voicemail. The company that processed the payment offered a form to dispute the charges but they didn't do much and instead remained neutral. They told me to speak with the technician and resolve it with him. They gave me a phone number that doesn't WORK and no longer connected to that technician. It's just dead silence on the other end. When I asked the processing company their address and details, Manny REFUSED TO GIVE ME THE INFORMATION. The Locksmith guys have yet to call and remedy the situation and more than likely I will never hear from them again. I attempted to get their address and other details and he refused to give it to me! I will have to take them to small claims court and report them to the police. I locked myself out of my car, pulled out my phone, and called up the nearest service for a locksmith. The very nice gentleman on the call told me that the fee to come out would be $15, and gave me an estimated quote of about $35 to pop open the car itself. Of course, depending on the type of car I had, maybe the price would go up or down. I don't drive some complicated high end car with crazy locking mechanisms-- I don't even drive a vehicle manufactured in this decade, so I figured that a $50 fee for fumbling my keys sounded about right. It was even a holiday-- maybe they'd tack on a few more dollars for the inconvenience. Sucks, but okay, that's fair. What I didn't expect was getting charged $200 to open up my fourteen year old car AND THEN an additional $20 charge for showing up, well over five times the price I was quoted (AND an extra $5 that was contradicted the fee they told me before.) I was so utterly taken aback and shocked that I didn't know what to say, didn't want to kick up a fuss in front of someone who had already shown up on my doorstep while my groceries melted in the back, and didn't even ask for a name until half an hour later, when I was like, "What the hell just happened??" It took him less than 5 minutes to open up my car. I really don't know what to say. I was so surprised that I agreed to the charge, and I'll pay it since that's what I signed for. (OVER TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS. I could have probably kicked in one of my windows and had it replaced for less than that.) I'm not some cheapskate unwilling to pay people for their services. But I wish they weren't so deceptive about the quotes, and have to wonder if they lowball you on purpose so they can surprise you with a much higher charge on the spot. The person who opened my car kept emphasizing that my insurance will cover the charge if I file a claim. Maybe my insurance will, maybe they won't, and maybe they'll use that as an excuse to jack up my rates-- I'm still waiting to hear back from them. But that's really not the point. Maybe I can help someone else avoid an experience like mine. read more

I had given them my address and type of vehicle, so I asked for the "free estimate" offering to call back in a week. Christy refused and repeatedly would not give me even an idea of the price, implying "We don't want your business in the future if we don't service you today." I never write reviews!! However, I had to write this to hopefully prevent someone else from making the mistake of calling this company.. I thought I lost my key to my car. I called this company and Leo came out. Over the phone I was quoted the price of $385 to program for a new key. Once he started the process of reprogramming the car, he said he could try it for this price but it may not work, but for sure it will work if he tried it a different way however, the price would double. At this point I knew he was trying to scam me so I told him to continue on, but I did not have anymore money. When the process was over he told me it did not work and when I was ready to call him to try the other way which was going to cost $500. He charged me $35 for coming out and he left... Behold, the next day I found my key, however , when I used the key , nothing worked! No power at all!! It didn't start, doors didn't open, couldn't get in the trunk , nothing!! ***SCAMMERS! BEWARE! SCAMMERS! BEWARE! SCAMMERS! BEWARE!*** I needed a new key for my car to be cut and programmed fast and on the same day. The technician Leo said he would be able to do it. When he first came, he tried to SCAM me out of $460 for a new key to be cut and programmed!! He made up all of these ridiculous fake charges and pretended to be sympathetic as if he was doing me a favor. I called the dealership and got a quote saying it would be $180 and after changing my mind to go to the dealership, he was quick to lower the fees. He lowered the fees to $200 and I agreed thinking he could get the job done quick and I would not have to go to the dealership and wait there. He agreed and demanded that I pay him in cash, probably so he could pocket all of the money and not leave a paper trail of his scam. Between the hours of waiting and watching him fail miserably, he ended up not being able to do anything other than cut a copy of a new key for my car. What he actually ended up doing was disabling the entire alarm system on my car and de-programmed the original key so that the lock/unlock buttons would not work anymore. I had to pay him for the key because it was a copy of a key to my car which could unlock and start my car and I could not risk have that in the wrong hands. He made up some excuses saying, "Oh my technician can fix the problem but unfortunately I cannot get him to come out today." Made worthless promises that he would come back and fix the alarm system on my car and re-program my keys. I tried calling him several times and he flat out ignored my calls and ultimately did not deliver on his worthless promises. LONG STORY SHORT: DO NOT RECEIVE ANY SERVICES FROM LEO. He is as dishonest and untrustworthy as they come. He's a know-nothing hack and does not know what he is doing and will only cause you more problems than he's worth. He's a scammer just trying to make a quick buck and unfortunately I was a victim to his illegitimate operation. read more

I usually don't write reviews but this was the worst experience I've ever been through!!!! Not only did the locksmith came two hours late but also harassed my friend and I with decisions because I couldn't afford to make a new$800 key. He was very rude and impatient, not a very nice guy at all but I am profoundly deaf and I believe that he took advantage of my disability and opened my car without my permission!!! I eventually found my original key inside my car but he never asked myself or my best friend if he could open my car and I was forced to pay $240!!!!!!!!! Locksmith SCAM!!! He RIPPED ME OFF!! CONMAN! FRAUD!!! I tried to turn on my car and it didn't start so I called roadside assistance but I wasn't sure how much it would cost and I didn't know what the problem was with my car or if it was something wrong with my old key. When I lost my keys before, I called a locksmith and he made me new keys but one of the keys with the alarm broke and so I thought the other key with the chip in it was cheaply made and needed to be reprogrammed. So I tried calling other locksmiths and the locksmiths said there would be a service call charge around $50 for them to come out even if the problem was not related to the key and if it was a mechanical problem, it would still cost $50. So I called LLA Locksmith Services and their address is 7521 Edinger Ave apt 3223, Huntington Beach, CA 92647 but it also shows that they have a business in Irvine. When I called I told him that I didn't know if there was a problem with they key or with the car and he said that he will come out and check it out to see why my car is not starting and that it would not cost anything if he comes out there. He said that we will just shake hands and he'll leave if it is a problem with the car and not the key so I thought it was ok and I waited for him to come. When he arrived, he first tried to turn on my car with my old key and then it didn't turn on. So the next thing he did was he put jumper cables on the battery and I thought why does he need to put on jumper cables on the battery if the problem is with the key? He said it needed to power up the car to make the key. Then he said 90% of the time, the problem is the key which is why the car won't start and he wrote up an estimate for a total of $260. At first it would have been $266 but he lowered it and I asked him can it be less and he said if I paid in cash, it will cost $250 and there was a bank close by and I said no I'm not going to pay in cash. Then he made the key and said if the key works then I have to pay for it but if it doesn't work then I don't have to pay anything. The whole time when he was making the key, the jumper cables were still on the battery. Then after he made the key, he tried to turn on my car a couple of times and then it worked so I had to pay for it and he swiped my debit card on the card reader on his cell phone. After that I drove home safe but when I checked to see if my car turned on a few hours later, it didn't. It was dead and I called him the next day and he said that yesterday was the problem with the key and today is the problem with the battery. What my car needed was just a jump start but he ended up charging me for a new key for $260 which I didn't need. He said that he was also a mechanic and had a mechanic license and he can fix the problem with my car. That is when I didn't trust him and I said I wanted my money back and I will return the new key. He started yelling at me and it turned into an argument and he said "See you in court!" On the receipt it shows that the cashier's name is Lior Hamo and he calls himself Leo and gave out his business card with the name Leo but his real name is MOSHIK ABERGEL NOT LIOR HAMO. HE USES HIS FRIEND'S NAME and he LIED ABOUT HIS REAL NAME! It is possible that he can RIP OFF other customers! read more
