OK, I can only base this review on the Carolina style BBQ Pork Sandwich that myself and my friend…read morebought at the AHA Fest in Santa Fe, New Mexico this evening... I was drawn to the food truck because it looked impressive. There seemed to be multiple staffers kind of just hanging out outside, during the dinner hour... I should have taken that as a sign, but I really liked the massive cooker that was mounted on the back of the food truck, so I decided to take a chance. And I'm no stranger to excellent barbecue. I've lived on the west coast and eaten at some of the best BBQ restaurants in Oakland and San Francisco. I've worked my way through Mississippi and Louisiana and know the score there too... And really, we've even got a couple BBQ places here in Santa Fe that are mediocre, but WAY better than this place, and frankly, the owner should feel ashamed. We posted a decent picture of the sandwich on Facebook, and all our BBQ foodie friends were appalled... To get to the point, if I had wanted a pork jerky sandwich, I would have gone to whole foods, bought the jerky and made my own... This sandwich was so incredibly dry, it was like a shredded pork jerky sandwich on a white bread bun... And completely overpriced for $9... Oh, I just looked at their usual menu, and they also charged me an extra dollar for a can of Dr. Pepper, where on their usual menu, it comes with the meal. I liked the beans, but they obviously came from a can... I think I can safely say that I will never frequent this food truck again. And actually I'm glad it is usually situated in Los Alamos... That explains quite a bit.

So we show no resistance and make our way there. The lady taking the orders is awesome and so pleasant! She always has a smile on her face despite serving very drunk and sometimes incoherent patrons. Her and the others in the truck are such hard workers too, always out there late night, even past 4am from what I've seen. Show them some love and appreciation! Now for the food, it's just amazing! For the price you just can't go wrong with the tacos or the burritos. And it's not because you've been drinking but rather because it's really that good. Plus they have cilantro to put on your order. Yarm! So good. Definitely recommend eating at this truck if you spot it.

I was starved and had not a single dollar bill tucked away in my unforgivingly tight and pocket-less home made Cat Woman costume (Michelle Pfeifer style! NOT Hally Barry or Ann Hathaway style, that would've been atrocious). Luckily the first food truck I randomly selected didn't take credit cards. Then, I saw it - the most nondescript box of a vehicle that, for unknown reason, I headed straight for. I didn't even look at the menu before asking whether they accepted credit cards. My unrelenting tummy grumbling had seized control over my entire being. A gasped a sigh of relief when the pleasant girl working there smiled and said the wonderful words 'yes we accept credit cards'. Then, behold...they served TACOS!! Things were looking up! I swiftly ordered 4 asada tacos ($6 - not bad) and wolfed em down. They were excellent (and not just because I was famished and would've eaten my own hand had none of these places accepted credit cards)! I topped them with cilantro, onions and salsa from the condiment tray. The salsa was my kind of spicy! The meat was tender, juicy and flavorful but not too salty. They were a little messy to eat, but since we're talkin tacos, it's A-ok (and they had proactively placed a fork in the box!). I loved these tacos. In addition to yummy food, the service was great! The lovely lady working the counter was fast, nice and loved my costume and my friend's Beetlejuice costume and insisted on taking our photo. I will definitely eat here again!

My dad grabbed the classic smash with a chicharron. My brother went with the 505 green chili burque smash. When I saw the other sandwiches on separate posters by the order window I was torn between the 505 or the Al Gueye Lucy. I asked the cashier which one they thought was better and they suggested the Al Guey Lucy smash. I said orale! Let's do it! We sat at the tables under the tent. It was nice shade for such a hot afternoon. The burgers were out hot n fresh! The Lucy was juicy with just the right amount of spice! It had a zesty kick you just can't forget. I absolutely loved it! My dad and brother enjoyed theirs as well. The fries reminded me of the fries at Bob's Burgers. They were really good! Overall it was a great experience! I'll definitely be returning! No mames! Si! That hot honey chicken is calling my name! Maybe I need a 505 for the appetizer hmm... lol!

Burger was a 6.5 out of 10 nothing special just a smash burger. Chicken sandwich 7.0 our of 10 has some crunch and taste. Fries 9.5 out 10 some of the best fried I have had in a while. The couple next to us said the loaded fries are excellent. Lastly the Chiccharone 9.0 out of 10 very good. Also they only gave can coke no bueno. Service I was friendly had to wait extra time for my fries I can see why so good Ambiance it was very windy and hot hot that day and there is only outside seating so be prepared to eat in your car take it home or weather the storm. Overall I give them a 7.5 out of 10. I will go back as I do support local.
