My doctor here is great, but the reception/billing/staff are the most unfriendly people imaginable. They are agitated, irritable, and just downright nasty. They seem like they absolutely hate their jobs and bark orders at patients instead of being kind and accommodating. I really hope they got some new people in there immediately or I might be looking for another doctor. I made an appointment to see Dr. Jeffrey Portner from LMG at their Chalfont. When I arrived I was the only patient in the waiting room waiting to be seen. After the front desk took my co-pay I went back and a very unfriendly nurse took my blood pressure and pulse. She told me the doctor would be in to see me. I waited in the exam room for over 25 minutes. I got up and walked out. On the way out I past the person that took my vitals and told her I was not waiting any longer. She said nothing to me as I was leaving not even let me see where the doctor is. When I got to the waiting room there was 1 person in the waiting room waiting to be seen. What a joke. While I like Dr. Kliger the staff doesn't seem to know what is going on. I've been in correspondence with Conners Kelly regarding medication that needs additional approval. My pharmacy has been continually reaching out to them in regard to an additional step they must complete for the drug to be approved. It's the protocol, not rocket science. I was a patient of this practice from the 1990's to 2014, when a doctor persuaded me to take all my business to Einstein. I became a patient of Broad Axe Family Practice. This spring Dr. Luetke and Dr. Overton moved over to LMG from Broadaxe, and I followed my primary, Dr. Luetke, over to LMG, and saw her last week. I am very familiar with Dr. Klinger and Dr. Nowadny and I respect them both. Now with the additions of these new doctors to LMG, that practice has an outstanding staff. This review is specific to Dr. Nadwodny - she is the worst of the worst in terms of the way she interacts with patients. Every time I have an appointment, I am extremely stressed leading up to it. I have been seeing her for years after Dr. Beck (who was awesome!) retired. I figured since I basically only have to go once a year, I can deal with her coldness, callousness and abrupt personality. But yesterday was the last straw - I came home so angry. She basically accused me of lying about something another doctor said. I told her I don't remember and she said but you told me that, it's here in my notes. Ok if I told you that then that would be the truth but I don't remember that conversation specifically. But honestly that was just one issue with the visit - the whole thing was awful and I couldn't wait to get out of there. She has no compassion and is just mean to put it simply. My mom moved here and I started taking her to Dr. Nadwodny as well and she has disliked her right from the start. My new mission is to find a new doctor as there has to be someone better out there. This practice is the absolute worst. Dr. Nawadney is terrible to deal with and if you call to ask for help, you can expect someone to get back to you a week later. My mother had a ct scan of her abdomen and 7 entire months later did they let us know there was a weird nodule that needed looked at. 7 months. Let that sink in. I was seen here twice for primary care related issues; I was establishing care with a new physician. I then called the office on a random date with an issue I woke up with, I asked if I should come in and get seen or if it was silly. They asked the usual questions DOB, name and such. The medical assistant then states "you've only seen her twice" insinuating that since I've only seen her twice that I'm not established? Insinuating the feeling of "why are you calling us you don't even have care here"; but is this not how you establish care? I stated "okay..." and she continued "um I guess you can come in if you want to make an appointment", now is this how we're speaking to patients? I work in patient care and when someone calls who's only been seen ONCE we treat them the same as someone who's been seen for years. This made me want to stop seeing my physician which is a shame because it was a medical assistant representing her. This type of behavior is gross is the medical field, especially primary care whom is supposed to be your back bone as a patient. I don't recommend care here and have since found a new primary office that does not have this attitude. read more

First strike was back in 2020 when they wouldnt test me for covid when i got sick for 3 weeks at the start of the pandemic. Second was a month and a half ago when they wouldn't prescribe me medication when I did get covid saying I was not in a high risk category(Im obese). Third and final strike came today when they wouldnt schedule me to have an appointment unless I have a negative covid test today, even though I tested negative over a month ago now. The worst of the worst... I have been going here for years and everytime it gets worse. These doctors and nurse practitioners don't give a damn about anyone in my opinion. I have gone to them for numerous things. I have a bad rash that I get on my arm that they know exactly what medicine makes it go away... Yet everytime I need a refill I have to make another appointment for them to say... "Yup that's it... Still..." Yet for chronic back pain that I have suffered years through they have "no recommendations" for me. Nothing... "Oh you have back pain? Here go get another X-ray. Nope it's not broken or fractured so you're good." I'm good?? No.... Not good at all but thanks. In fact when I called about my most recent X-ray (why I allowed myself to get another one is beyond me) the nurse on the phone said "Oh the doctor never even looked at it but I'm looking at it and it's not broken or fractured so you're good." Awesome... Worst doctors office ever. I have about 15 years under my belt of dealing with this place and unless you are going for something other than being sick you will undoubtedly hit a dead end. I recently moved to lansdale and decided to switch to lmg because my previous doctor was farther away in King of Prussia and I had gone to lmg for pediatrics when I was younger. I chose Dr. Nadwodny bc I prefer a female doctor and for the first annual visit I didn't have any complaints, but over the past few months I've started experiencing persistent vertigo and sinus headaches that I had thought were from allergies but wanted to get checked out to make sure. Bc this has been going on for over three months I'm pretty worried about it and really wanted to see my doctor so that maybe I could get referred to a specialist. I waited two weeks to get an appointment with her. When I began my visit I went through a whole breakdown of my symptoms to be as thorough as possible so she could get the whole picture. Midway through she abruptly cut me off and said "where do I come in" I was caught off guard but continued. After I was finished she said "im confused I don't know what you want me to do I'm just a GP." At that point I just wanted the appointment to be over bc I knew she couldn't help me. She then asked me what I thought was wrong which obviously I don't know. She did nothing but make me feel crazy for coming to the doctor and then prescribed me a steroid even after I told her I had previously had an allergic reaction to which she dismissed as weird. I left feeling humiliated and still had no idea what was causing my symptoms. I'm frankly disgusted by how she acted and have now returned to my previous doctor. Not to repeat a cliche but if I could give zero stars I would, I feel that the doctors here are borderline reckless and truly treat patients as merely dollar signs and just try to throw medication at the problem. I think they need to truly reevaluate how they practice medicine. read more

Genuinely a terrible experience for the past 10 years my family and I have been patients. From an administrative point of view, absolutely a mess. We have spent hours arguing about insurance even after saying we will pay out of pocket, canceling appointments day of without any sort of notice, and receiving berating comments like "why is this an emergency" when obviously it is not or else we would have gone to the emergency room. From a care point of view, I have been dismissed and not listened to. I am a medical student and these providers give all primary care folks a bad name. Some of the most brilliant and kind doctors I have had the honor of working with have been PCPs and it really highlights how incompetent and cold the doctors at LMG are. They should re-evaluate why they went into medicine in the first place because it sure does not seem like it is to take care of patients. read more

I have been going here since moving into the area at least 10 years ago. I always had fair experiences with the nurse practitioners but they turned over frequently and ended up with Dr. Portner since I take medication that requires medication checks. All was fine until my insurance changed and it required him to actually work. My meds weren't covered, I needed help finding a new one that was covered and worked well. Forget it! After missed scripts, calls and messages left unanswered, I finally made an appointment in hopes of clarifying the confusion that had occurred between the clinical staff, myself, and the doctor. He first said "what do you want from me - I'll send over whatever to the pharmacy" and after pointing out that i didn't know what medication or dosage I should be taking at this point, he said the pharmacy can tell me what they have! WHAT?! Yup, the pharmacist can tell me what to take, even though the clinical manager of the practice told me the exact opposite advice. I was so frustrated (this whole thing started in July and I put up with medication mix-ups for over 2 months) talking to him I ended up bursting into tears! He said he only treats patients whose medication is working for them already, and clearly mine is not (although I had been on the same meds for years without issues until July). Also, he is not familiar with ADHD medications so he can't tell me what to do in this case. I can't understand why he never tried the generic version of the meds I was previously on, or worked with my insurance, or anything. He obviously just decided I was a pain in his ass and too much work, but didn't pass me off in a caring way at all. If you want a doctor to be condescending and cold hearted, Dr. Portner is your guy! And LMG could care less when they are screwing up. read more

I've been a patient at LMG my entire life just about. My entire life we were stuck with poor care, misdiagnosis, pill pushers and incompetent staff because of what was "in-network". Recently it has been HORRIBLE. The front desk and nurses line staff are incredibly rude. This is your job. If you hate it leave. I feel like I need second opinions because they don't know what they're taking about or what they are prescribing. Follow ups aren't a thing so if you want to know what's wrong... keep wondering. I'm giving LMG a 3-star rating, as an average of 2 scores: I give my doctor here, Dr. Nadwodny, 5 stars. I've stayed with her for years despite my frustrations with the rest of LMG, because she's so wonderful. She's kind, upbeat, and stays up to date on the latest medical information... I used to work in healthcare myself, so I'm really picky about who I trust with my care and she's been fantastic. I give the rest of the practice 1 star. The communication at this practice is really bad. I've had to go to urgent care clinics several times when I was really sick, because I couldn't even get a call back from a staff member after multiple calls and emails. Last month I called in a refill for a prescription, and instead of 90 days only 30 days was sent in... I figured it was just a mistake. When I went to refill it again this week, they said they had only done 30 days the last time because I needed to come in for a physical. It would have been good if someone called to tell me that at the time, I'm not psychic!!! LOL The physicals are booked solid until months from now, so I'm going to be squeaking through my prescriptions so I don't run out before my appointment. In a nutshell: Dr. Nadwodny is great, but be prepared to exercise a lot of patience in order to benefit from her care. read more

We went for a dot physical today... passed with no problems.. but nurse Sharon still gave me a 1 year medical card instead of a 2 year card. I haven't had any health issues or blood pressure problems in over 10 years. She said i need a primary care doctor and bloodwork. Neither are part of making sure i am fit to drive a box truck. I don't know how the same practice gave me a 2 year card last time and only 1 this time. This practice always has an available appointment whenever I need, even if it is last minute. Also, they are open 7 days a week! It saved me from an ER trip last Sunday when I wasn't feeling well. I have mixed feelings about the people who work here. I called to make an appointment, and the woman I spoke to was very rude. I was coming in under a claim # for an accident, and I also had additional items I wanted to ask the doctor to address. She wouldn't answer my questions and tell me if I needed to make two appointments or not. She just told me to ask when I arrive because she had other people on hold, waiting to speak with her. When I came for my appointment, the woman at the front desk was also extremely rude. She almost started lecturing me when I told her that I needed to see the doctor to ask about problems not arising from the accident, saying I should've said that over the phone. But I DID. She was very rude to everyone who came in and seemed really stressed out, but that's no excuse. Dr. Baskaran was very professional and kind. This practice is horrible. I started going to them 25 years ago and they were fine - but no more. Over at least the past 10 years it has become a chop shop. Get the patients in, have the staff be as rude as possible to them, make them wait, then have the doctors spend as little time as possible with them. And ONLY to discuss the health issue you made the appointment for, even if you think the symptoms you're bringing up might be related to what you came in for. This attitude seemed to be the way of most of this practice's doctors, PA and certainly the support staff. The last time I went to this practice, I mentioned to Dr. Portner in a friendly, caring tone how much he and the practice had changed since when I first knew him. I said something to the effect of how he used to spend more time with us, crack a joke now and then ... and now everything was so abrupt and not really investigating our health problems... He said, "if you have an issue you'd like to discuss you'll have to make a appointment. You are here for an earache." I left actually feeling sad for him... and knowing that I would never trust me and my family's health to these people. read more

Every time I call to make an appointment the receptionist is rude, unhelpful, and often asks inappropriate prying questions. Today I called because I have been ill for a week, suspect mono, and want a test/eval. I was told I could not get in until next week, even as a walk-in, and when I asked for a recommendation for somewhere else I can go she said "Uh no we don't do that." What? A patient needs help and you just don't do that? What kind of practice is this? So disappointed. Oh, and nurses should introduce themselves when taking patients back as common courtesy, considering they are about to ask patients personal questions thank you very much. I recently switched my PCP to LMG Family Practice and have nothing but positives to say about their practice. A staff member named Torey has been instrumental in making my transition smooth and setting me up with a physician that fits my needs. She has also helped me choose the proper offices for what fits my insurance policy best. Keeping more money in my pocket and putting my policy to use for better treatment. Physician Assistant Zachary Ezrow is very thorough when I see him and never seems to try and push me out the door, which has been my experience in the past. Fully attentive and working his best to find solutions to all my health woes. I would highly recommend this establishment for anyone looking for a new PCP! read more

Went in with classic Lyme symptoms. Took a Lyme Test was negative. Sent me to numerous specialists. Questioned the test results, was told I didn't have lyme. Suffered with this for over three months. Went to the office 4 times. They did not care or try to find out what was wrong. Hundreds of dollars later, losing months of my life, I found out I have Lyme. I found out that this test may not be accurate until 6 weeks after symptoms occur. Really they should have known this!!!! With another Doctor now and on the road to recovery. I am so angry, that a simple corse of antibiotics months ago would have save me all this agony. read more

I specificantly requested a whooping cough vaccine but when i received my invoice to pay $26 I found I was given aTB test! They lied and said that is what I asked for and said being asked to return to have the injection site checked should have been a red flag! For what? I never had a TB shot before! If I were not moving, out of state, and need to find other doctors. I totally get the fact that doctors today are pretty thorough. And I really enjoyed Dr Nadwadny, however, I believe this office is the worst...I am 70 years old, and came from a generation that didn't run to the doctor for everything. This office is certainly not the least bit conservative. I am moving out of state, and called today to inquire how I can obtain my medical records, as every office is different. Most of the time you just have to sign a release form...not this office. The Records person phoned me back and told me I have to PAY for them and she didn't know how much b/c she had to go thru them?????? I have to pay for my own medical records? Lunacy...this should be against the law....and I'm very angry...so I really shouldn't be writing this at this time....however, to require money to obtain your own medical records, is to me, high way robbery. So, how difficult is it to pull my records, put them in a file and hand them over to me? I started going to them b/c they are conveniently located and they have Sat. and Sunday hours...but this? I mean they were my only family doctor for many years, they have all my medical records? Sheesh...And, I'm asking other doctors about that, they never heard of it....all they require is a signed release form and the name of the New Doctor???? They have all my records and have the nerve to ask me to pay for them....? How dare they...I believe I'm taking this further and reporting them. This is the worst experience I had with a doctor. They made a mistake in scheduling my appointment and tried to act like it was my fault. Everyone from the receptionist, to the nurse, to the doctor were rude. Everyone was rushed, and no one told me what was going on. I felt like I was an object to them that they were rushing to get done with. Everyone condescended to me and never asked me if I had any questions about anything. They asked me questions that they clearly could have figured out by looking through my records (which I had to pay $10 to get them walked across the hall from the pediatrician). I debated whether to write this review because if you are a working professional in the Blue Bell area you have pretty limited options when it comes to primary care doctors with night or weekend hours who are accepting new patients. But after thinking about it, I feel compelled to say something. This is one of the worst experiences I've had with a doctor's office. As others on yelp have commented, the doctor will ONLY see you for whatever issue the receptionist wrote down when you booked the appointment. To discuss anything else, they tell you to make another appointment. Essentially, this forces you to guess at what could be your problem when you book the appointment- something that as a non-doctor I am not qualified to do. When I booked the appointment several weeks out, the receptionist forced me to specify why I was coming in. I said for a check up and primarily because I needed to refill some maintenance medications. She must have wrote on my form "medication refill" or something like that because when I met with the doctor, she would only discuss prescription refills. When I brought up some other mild and somewhat unrelated symptoms I'd been having that I wanted to get a medical opinion on, they told me to make another appointment. The whole visit with the doctor lasted no more than 7-8 minutes...so it's not like we were going over time. It's pretty clear this place just wants as many insurance claims as possible. I get that the business of medicine is tough in 2019 and this is a trend with many doctors, but these people take it to a whole other level. I hope the medical board investigates this place- with so many bad reviews both on yelp and other sites, you would think it would raise a red flag. read more

I have been going to LMG since I was a baby, my whole family has been there. As an adult, I just continued to go since they had all my records since I was little. I was usually pleased with visits. I can't say better words about Dr Nadwadny, she is extremely thorough and covers all the basis just to rule anything out which is what a Dr should do. I loved her. However, the office staff are the problem, and the way the establishment is ran. One Saturday I was in extreme pain and decided to see if I could get into an urgent care (I didn't think the office was open), I went to the cvs minute clinic and they said they could not help me. So I went to another clinic, and they turned me away as well. I was in tears from the pain, so I looked up LMG to see when they would be open next, to my surprise they had limited Saturday hours so I called immediately. The woman who answered the phone told me that I had a balance of $30 dollars ( a missed copay from last visit ) and so I could not be scheduled until I resolve it with the billing office and the billing office was closed. I was literally crying on the phone and told her I would bring the 30 dollars with me into the office if she could make an exception for me. I was willing to pay the measly 30 dollar balance, I just desperately needed someone to see me because I was in extreme pain and everyone else was turning me away. She could not have had a single care in the world and told me to go to the ER. (This was not an ER situation, it was a GYN situation and on top of that, my copay for an ER was astronomical.) I begged and pleaded with her and she refused even after asking to speak with a manager or DR myself. I can not believe a doctors office who is there to HELP PEOPLE would refuse service over $30 when I was willing to pay it. That says to me that the practice cares more about money then helping people and I will never return there again. I have found a new PCP who will never refuse service over money, and who truly cares about helping people in need. I am a nursing student and the uncompassionate people working there should not be working in health care, period. read more

The blonde woman behind the desk said there was a chance they couldn't take me. Five minutes late and you can't take me? Unacceptable. I saw Dr. Jeffrey Portner, who I'm assuming is a new provider there because I've never heard his name. I've never seen a provider who knew so little and has such a bad attitude. He called me a jerk for asking too many educated/informed questions and told me I should find a new practice. I guess I was too informed and was asking too many "hard" questions?! As a patient of LMG's for many years, I wouldn't recommend this practice to ANYONE. I saw Dr.Portener last week after experiencing super high blood pressure....165/95 and sometimes higher....he came into the room,looked at me then turned to his little computer and started typing for about 2 minutes then turned towards me and said"whats up" ...ummm i am a patient and not his friends and thats not how a doctor should refer to anyone who presents in his practice for a health concern....anyways....i told him how i was feeling and went thru a list of symptoms( dizziness...head pressure...nose bleeds, bloatness) ....he looked at me and said "I'll give u a pill for that"! wtf...i suggested maybe we should do some blood work ...he basically cut me off and told me to come back next week for a follow up to see if his "magical" pill improved my BP...well I work in a medical practice and had my BP taken everyday after i started his pills and it remained the same....when I asked him if maybe a thyroid condition could cause since i have been putting on weight even thou I have very healthy diet and excercise at least 3 times a week....he basically said I probably eat too much!!! what a jerk!!! The last thing that blew me away for good and probably raised my pressure even higher is when he said to me " YOU ARE NOT IN ANY IMMEDIATE DANGER" WTF....what kinda doctor says shit like that to a patient who is very scared and concerned ?? OMG do yourself a favor and go somewhere else or at least request a better and nicer doctor! Can't even give 1 star. From the very beginning I had my doubts. The gentlemen who schedule my appointment had no knowledge of what he was doing, useless. Had to speak with 4 different people to schedule my appointment. The PA herself is worthy of 1 star, but even she seems to be too concerned with keeping her appointment to the allotted time to actually make me feel like my health concerns worthy of her time. The unwillingness of both front desk staff and especially the clinical staff to provide any useful information was mind boggling. Every question or concern I had was met with an attitude of disregard and inconvenience. I even had a nurse say that her time was too important to assist me. WOW. I understand your busy, but that is your job. Between spending hours on the phone with my Insurance company and the multiple phone calls to useless and rude staff at LMG I have lost faith in the health system of this country. What a joke. I had called the clinical line nad requested a prescription refill, specifically asking them to call my cell if they needed to reach me. What do you know, they call my home and leave me a message to call them back. Obviously they do not care to listen. So I called back, asked them to call my cell phone again. No phone calls from them for 3 days. Saturday comes along and I call and left another voice mail. 2 hours passed and no calls. So I called the appointment line and asked to speak with a clinical staff. She( appointment desk lady) told me there is only 1 clinical staff on duty. I said to her there were more staff for the past 3 days and more working hours, but no one bothered to call. Clinical staff Annie answered the call,she was very rude. The staff at the practice really need an education in how to be empathetic and how to listen. She cut me off while I explained, and asked me if I called the phone # they asked to call when they left me a voice mail. I stated that that's what I did, and was on hold for a long while and it forced me to leave another voice mail. She then makes a lame excuse that they are having issues with the phone line. LMG is no longer a patient centric practice any more.
