I came here about a simple application, and was told there would be an hour wait. I honestly had no idea it would be that hard to talk to someone at a bank. They found out what I was there for, and squeezed me in before their next appointment, and got me in and out in like 10 minutes. That was great. I don't know if it was a fluke or if they're usually that busy, but if you're doing anything other than a deposit or withdrawal, you might want to call ahead and get an appointment.

It wasn't the first e-mail pitch I received from him, but on this one day, I felt spurred to reach out to Mike and see what he could do for us. We knew that rates were at all time lows and we could save big if we could refinance. The catch was that we digging ourselves out of some bad debt and I've had many other lenders ghost me once they pulled my credit score. We'd made great strides recently to fix that and needed someone to give us a chance. Michael placed us in the very capable hands of one of his team members, Marie Bolton. Not only was the answer, "Yes, we'll work with you" but "We've got a deal you can't refuse!" Our initial estimates seemed almost too good to be true; but by the time we were all said and done, our terms at closing were EVEN BETTER! In the end we cut a 30-year fixed to a 15-year fixed and saved 2.5% APR in the process. That will save us AT LEAST $130,000 compared to sticking with the original mortgage. We plan to make extra payments and save even more. Overall, the process was very smooth and simple. Everything but the closing was completely online. From the application to uploading documents to e-signing forms, we were turning things around within minutes. Any questions Chris Marcelo, our processor, had, were resolved promptly for a quick approval. We were actually shocked when we were told on Wednesday that we were "Cleared to Close!" that the attorney wanted it done Friday morning. A night/day difference from our purchase experience. Initial contact with Mike, May 10. Closing, June 18. That's pretty dang good by New York real estate standards! Having been through 3 purchases and now 2 refinances, I know that there's a good chance our mortgage may be sold to another servicing company. Mike tells me that they now do a lot of servicing themselves and there's a better chance they'll keep us for themselves. That would be nice. Less chance for errors like Zayne reported.

For a grand opening, this was a disaster. For an average visit, it was very disappointing. First,…read morethere was no Banner or any other signs indicating this was a grand opening today. Second, they opened a few minutes late. Third, there was scaffolding and men still working in the lobby and outside of the building as well. That, to me, is unacceptable. Fourth, there was an overwhelming awful smell that permeated the bank. I mentioned this to the receptionist as I fled because of the smell. She thought maybe it was because of the wallpaper. It was so bad, I didn't even do what I came in for (paint or other chemicals usually don't bother me). And finally, the tellers were not smiling or welcoming, and it was eerily silent. It was like banking in a mausoleum. I asked about any grand opening specials or promotions. There are none. I was in the parking lot taking pictures of the drive-thru ATM, and a man came running out of the building toward me and told me he was security and he asked me not to take pictures inside the building. He said I was welcome to take all the pictures I wanted of the exterior but for security reasons he did not want me to take interior shots. I explained that I was posting these on Yelp and if he would rather I didn't I wouldn't and I would delete them right then and there. He said "Oh no, that's fine," which made me wonder why in the world he ran out in the parking lot after me in the first place. But I deferred and chose not to post the two interior shots I took. It was an extremely ho-hum, underwhelming, and disappointing experience. I'll happily keep doing business at the E. Ridge Rd. branch, which is only about a mile away.

Worst customer service ever! First the mortgage specialist tells my son to complete the online…read moreapplication for me(?!!) I tell her, The loan is for me not my son. So she tells me to come back and make an appointment. I come at the time of appointment and she's not there...and no phone call, no reason why, just never showed up. I waited there for 30 minutes, no one asked me if I'm being taken care of. Finally I got up and talked to the manager. Manager just shrugged it off, seemed irritated and annoyed. Overall, very NASTY personnel---irresponsible approach to MY BUSINESS and MY MONEY!!! Moving my assets to ESL where the people are serious, friendly and responsible. Plus the coffee is free. These guys don't even have a single drive up ATM :((
