My son was approximately one year old, and I was soon graduating with my Master's degree, which meant I had student debt that I would soon have to plan for; I knew I needed to get on it. I worked with a loan officer of a finance broker's office, and I went through three different Real Estate Agents locally based in Palmdale and Lancaster, California. Those experiences were frustrating and disappointing, a waste of time. I did everything that was requested of me, submitted, and resubmitted misplaced documents, clarified information which I had already clarified, and viewed homes which I was not interested in, but did so because I was told there was a shortage of inventory. The agents lacked experience, gave me information that I know was wrong, or simply weren't motivated. The real estate agent, just didn't have enough follow through to even care about completing the deal, and my loan broker, was the worst of all. Both loans he structured which I submitted on two different homes, fell through, because he structured them incorrectly, and was not fully knowledgeable on his loan programs. Although he claimed to have years of experience, he blatantly told me there was no way I could obtain a loan. I didn't stop my home search, and somehow I was fortunate enough to find Tyler Havens. Tyler, put me in touch with his loan broker, Justin Sorsabal and his coordinator Tracy Stewart; and I was even more fortunate to have my closing done with Sharon Rohaley and her right hand Diane Combs. It is only because of the persistence and patience of these individuals, that I found my first home, and was able to structure the correct loan to complete my purchase, and close escrow smoothly. You see, what I never told to my first broker, and subsequent agents when I started my home search (and may be news to Justin and Tyler if they read this), is in a previous life I was an escrow officer, and another time, a loan officer. I knew my credit, what loans I qualify for, how to spot in-experience, and most importantly, when I was being misled. I had even began to think that perhaps there are no reputable agents and brokers in my area. Which is why I feel fortunate to have come across Justine and Tyler.
