These are probably one of the worst companies to ever deal with all that they approved a loan quick yes but then they repossessed the car after 32 days late all because somehow my check didn't get to them. They said they called but my cell phone is fine no calls. Even though every other month I had no issues ! Then getting it back they gave me the run around for over 2 days!!!! Worst customer service ! I am not surprised to see that every review on here is a 1 star. Hard to believe not one person has had a decent experience, but at the same time I definitely understand. Each time I come into their office there is 5+ people working and yet EVERY TIME I walk in, not one word is said to me. They just stare at their computers and pretend they didn't hear me walk in. So I stand there awkwardly waiting for someone to acknowledge me. Sad thing is, without the customers, you wouldn't have a job so help me when I walk in. Lastly, their Southern California branch practices illegal practices. If I'm one day late on my payment, I will receive 15+ phone calls though out the entire day up until 9pm. I once left my phone at home and when I came home, I was 22 missed calls from them and only 2 voicemails. They also block their number when they call. If I could give them zero stars, I would. They like to tack on random, unexplained fees, and they go to absolute extremes to collect them. I had my account set up to pay the same amount on the same day through my bank's bill pay system. I thought I was current. Little did I know, they had added an $8 fee (no explanation) that became overdue. THEY REPOED MY CAR AFTER TWO WEEKS. Not even kidding. Two weeks, and $8. And of course it was a Friday night, and their office wasn't open again until Monday so I had to go three days without my car, miss a day of work spending all day Monday getting my car back, and paying the ridiculous repo and PD fees. This company is not ethical and has more issues than I can count. I financed a truck back in 2013 and have made all 15 payments on time! I called for a formal faxed payoff amount and was REFUSED! The said they would verbally give me a payoff amount but it was only good to the end of the Day! What!! I work in a finance department and I have never herd of such ignorance! I only wish OI would have read the 80% of NEGATIVE reviews on Yelp before purchasing and allowing Lobel to finance. :( Now, I have the funds to pay off, they wont give me proper pay off amount. During the call I find out the account number on my bill each month is for a DIFFERENT customer in a DIFFERENT STATE! I requested to see documentation of each payment I have made and how it was applied, and they HUNG UP ON ME! I was speaking with the Headquarters. I guess they don't like when their customers know better than their Bull S***! Okay so I wrote a review of this company earlier and I'm just making another review to let people know what basically happened after the situation so I want to stay this- this company repossess my car and I asked them if they could just give me three days then I would have been caught up with the car the person who was talking to me told me that if I didn't pay right then and there I would not be able to get the car back so to my surprise when I had received a letter in the mail stating that the company was going to sell my car and that I needed to pay the amount specified to get the car back I was completely outraged and then when I called and I said why is it that now you guys are telling me that I could pay to get the car back but when I asked you guys to just give me three days you refuse to accept the payment and it just so happened to work out in their favor to where they got to sell the car and I no longer have the funds to get the car back and then they lied about the amount they financed me and try to say that they finance me $26,000 which one I looked at the pink slip I told him no way and was only for 16000 and then you they sold the car for $14,000 but want to threaten to sue me for $7,000 if i dont schedule payments.when I first received the letter I had called and try to figure out the situation and they absolutely refuse to tell me why the cost was 7grand .. I was then told that I would receive a letter explaining the fees and let me tell you guys even after they repossess my car they kept hitting me for late payments on my car the repossession fees are almost $2,000 having to get the key remade was almost another $2,000 I still dont understand how they were able to charge me for two additional missed payment after they repossessed my car.. I was behind on one payment. just one payment!!! This company is horrible and by far the worst finance company I have ever delt with. They initially said we had to put $2500 down and after we signed our contract 3 weeks later said we needed to put $3000 down and redo the contract. After redoing the contract we never got anything in the mail saying how much our note would be, when it was due, or where to make the payment. No one ever answers the phone, they keep you on hold and everyone tells you something different. They repoed our car and told us in order to get it back we have to pay it off in full. I have had a loan with Lobel for nearly 2 years. In my opinion it is a company reaping mass profits, yet acting like it runs on a shoe string budget. 1. No Online bill pay or way to view your acct. 2. Even though you show proof of insurance when you buy the vehicle, Lobel somehow says you never gave it to them. They will add thier own insurance but not tell you until your payment stub arrives. This irritated me very much and I let them know. I faxed them my info and made the rep sit on the phone until she verified she had it. Once she did I made sure any back charges were removed, as my insurance showed that it was valid the same day I bought my car. 3. God forbid you pay off your car or trade it in. Here is a piece of advice and how not to get scammed. A. 10 day payoff bait and switch. Lobel, will tell you they never got a full payoff amount from a dealer or insurance company. They will tell you the payment arrived late and therefore added extra intrest to the loan. Now, Capital One did the same thing to me when I paid that vehicle off, so I was well aware of this game. Unfortunately for Lobel, and the rep, they didn't seem to understand that signing for the Fedex envelope, means they recieved the payment, the fact they sat on it for 14 days before updating the account was not my problem. When infact they cashed the check the following day. B. GAP insurance. If you pay off your car, or it is totaled in an accident, Lobel will conviently forget they owe you for the GAP coverage when asking you for the extra intrest payment in the above situation. This is where documentation is key. Keep EVERYTHING. I ended up geting a $350 dollar check back from Lobel. In Closing. Lobel serves a purpose. Will they call everyone they can when you miss a payment. YES, they have a right to, you owe them money. You wouldn't have a loan from Lobel otherwise. Do what I did, use Lobel to show 2 years of good payment history, clean up the rest of your credit, then trade the car in and get a 2% intrest rate on something used. You want to save money here is what I did. Lobel, 2000 Suburban, purchase price 11k @ 12% intrest. Traded it in 2 years later for a 2008 honda pilot at 2.83% intrest and no money down. read more

I co-signed for my gf so she can get her car and rebuild her credit. She never missed a payment and sometimes she would pay extra and she would always provide them with up to date insurance. Despite all that this bank would always charge ridiculous "Payment processing fees" and they would blow up her phone claiming they had no proof of insurance. Very ridiculous! This bank was so bad that I decided to just payoff my gf car in full so she wouldn't have to deal with this place. Horrible company I am a dealer who tried to process a app through them. I physically turned in the app and was told I had everything. They never contacted me for 5 days and when I did they told me I was missing a bunch of docs. I turned in those docs then all of a sudden they needed more docs from the customer. We gave them all necessary docs for there approval. They were suppose to fund the deal and never did. I called them back 3 days later and they told me they didn't fund the deal because some random person at my clients job not a manager of owner said there job was different than the owner of the business listed. They wasted 30 days of my time and never funded the deal. Long story short fuck them they are not professional and have poor customer service. read more

I bought a car back in '08. I got a repo in '10... My balance due in the car was approximately $6,000. I was told that if I returned the car I wouldn't owe anything. (Too good to be true, right) My naive self believed it. So here comes a month later not only did they auctioned the car but later told me it didn't cover what I owed. I still owed 3,500. I told them I wouldn't pay them because they've told me I didn't owe them anything once the car was with them. So they filed papers. Had to appear on court on January 2011 but for some reason court got changed and never told me about it nor receive a letter. So I missed the court. Ending up in me loosing the case. Total fines were up to $6,500+ decided to pay off by using my check using a weekly deduction. Had track of the remaining balance. Once I felt I had paid it all off which took me about 4 years they come up with the bullshit I still owed $5,000 because the interest keeps going up each day. WTF!!! I should have kept the car.!!!! I'm paying for a car I don't have!!! Everyone keeps telling me I shouldn't keep paying, but they harrass my employer and I on a daily basis. I finally have the money to make a settlement with them ($2700) what a fucking scam!! This time I made sure to ask for a letter before giving that money to this crook ass company.!! Now every time I hear Lobel Financial I always warn people about it! Hopefully one day this company will shut down and stop from taking advantage of people. this company is crooked as hell! dude they add on all kinds of fees that are bs! they always claim they never receive any of your stuff you fax which is bullshit! however there is one good employee down south daisy! this is the only person ever that i have been able to get anywhere with. in may me and my husband lost our baby which left us in debt so every month since i have had to make our payment late. i needed a deferment i sent over the paperwork and was told i would receive a call from the lady in deferment department. never did so i called and called they said oh she noted that she called you! uhhhh no she didn't funny i get all my calls from you guys and i never did from her! lmao then i asked for a supervisor eloisa i believe it is ! she proceeded to defend her why would she go into your file and post called she said! and told me bottom line your 14 days past due and you didn't put the reason you need a deferment. well maybe if you would have called and told me that i needed a reason i could have fixed that problem. needless to say 12 days later the lady accepted my deferment but it took many many calls to even get through to the deferment lady. she accepted it but im sure it was cause i threatened to take this shit public! uhhhhh maybe cause she aint doing her dam job! this is coming from the supervisor people! i am telling you i am one nut hair away from filing a federal complaint with this company. with all their fake ass bs! ever since i signed up to buy my car which by the way was like 12,000 and was sold with a transmission going out and a engine problem! next time i will make sure to ask what finance company the dealer is using. crooked as heck is all i have to say ! read more

These guys, sadly, are in charge of my auto loan. They are idiots. They drag their feet on every last detail then wonder why you're not able to do anything to set the details of the loan straight. They call you when you are at work, you call them back twice during what should be working hours ( way before 4PM on a weekday) and the people you need to speak with are already gone. Then they take weeks to verify your information, by the time they are done, they have to do the whole process over again, and you have to resubmit everything ten times over again and they still are calling your phone every 10 minutes, then you call them back, they suddenly can't come to the phone. Don't deal with these guys, at least not the branch in San Jose, they are very slow-witted and incompetent, it's going to be a miracle if I actually get the loan, because the way they are moving about it, the financing will fall through. What a nightmare!!!! Where do I start??? First, they obtain a so call Insurance on my car(mind you, I already have insurance). So they kept on billing me an extra 80 dollars a month. For two months I was billed $160. I always paid my normal bill which is $400. Something happen to me and I was a month behind. How you're 1 month behind and your get repossessed. Who ever that Spanish lady is that was handling my account is done as fuck. First she told me that I was 2 months behind. I told her no, I'm was 1 month beside. Then she put me on hold. She asked me when did I made a payment I told her December. She had the nerve to tell me, their system didn't updated it, then she told me I'm a 1 month 1/2 behind. Now remind you those fee they added for the insurance. I told her that I have my insurance to prove it. She said, by the time they receive and to process it. It will be too late. So they sent the tow truck company to take the car. So they did. Nice guys tho. Forgot to mention i told the lady i get paid on the 7th that I would be paying for the month behind and current month which is not due until the 14th.
