Poor management. Arrive at 9:00am to empty hot deli, empty milk shelves, 1 out of 8 checkouts open and no readily available carts. Also, the worst front line team at the hot deli...Why have a Hot Deli if you are discouraged from ordering what they have displayed? Always being shooed away to what they have already prepackaged. Not sure who the Manager of this location is, but head office needs a recheck on this person and their team. The tellers complain to the customers about having to stand all day....it's really such an unpleasant experience shopping here. read more

I have been coming here for years. Always got good service and never had a reason to say anything bad. But the last few times I have been here the service has been hot garbage. Came in Sept 21/2022 around 9:30. Went to cashier 1, there was a persian looking girl with short boy hair and and indian/sri lanky doing bags. I got pure attitude for no apparent reason from the weirdo persian and the lanky was acting all uptight like a Karen. It's like they didn't want to be there. This is what happens when you give stimulus checks to lazy people. A couple of other Indians one girl one dude stocking the shelves were blocking the isle the last time I went, being passive aggressive. When I confronted them they just looked away like chickens. There were nice older ladies working here before (white, filipino) that would always smile and be friendly. That is all I want. I dont care if you rip me off 5 bucks, just smile while you are doing it. FOR MGMT UP THE DAMN WAGE and hire some friendly/normal people. I would rather wait 10 minutes in line for a friendly cashier than deal with these 3rd world lazy bums (PS I am a non-white immigrant with work ethic, these trash make all immigrants look bad). Avoid this Loblaws like the plague. -vegetable, meats, dairy and dry goods are often expired or past the recommended shelf life. -terrible customer service -small -often dirty -limited selection/variety Time after time, too many negatives experiences over 10 years (especially since the major renovation). Wow this Loblaws impressed me. Once walked in, there were all the fancy chocolates and lovely macaroons ($2.49 each) displaying in the display counter. On the other side, there was a cafe counter selling coffee, gelato and, oh my god, a lot of different types of donuts. The daily produced flatbreads of various choices looked very fresh and were sold for only $5.99 each. There are quite a lot of parkings on the ground level and there is an underground parking too! Customers enjoy two hours free parking. It was such a happy and excited experience shopping at this Loblaws. I would have given it a 5-star review if it is located closer to my place! read more

Upon first glance, this store looks like a regular Loblaws supermarket. It's not until you stare long enough at the sign that you realize something is missing... the "S"! This Loblaw is at the top of a very steep hill on Yonge, so if you're walking (which I have done numerous times), bring those walking shoes. The store is a weird mix of a Whole foods slash LoblawS mix. It's actually a little confusing, because it looks like a Loblaws but more classy, if that makes sense. There are a lot of fresh foods, soups and salad area. The bakery, unlike regular Loblaws are made from Ace Bakeries. They have a lot of baked goods from outside companies, such as cakes and tarts from Dufflet and Patisserie Monaco Bakery. Apparently Loblaw is affilated under a different brand than Loblaws and No Frills, so technically they are sister stores. This Loblaw doesn't have furniture or clothes, it's strictly grocery (though it does have a pharmacy, and a floral section). The fresh food section and bakery is worth checking out, and the prices are reasonable. read more

Ok...so I stopped in here on the way to meet a friend as I was early and figured I might was well do some grocery shopping. Just another Loblaws....until I walked in. Wow! This is no ordinary Loblaws - this is the Yorkville of Loblaws. They have got a HUGE selection of pastries/cakes that you won't find at your normal store. And a cheese/bread counter...and a lot of specialty items that I don't see at my normal store. Another thing that I see here that isn't at my usual store is the prices! There is a definite difference in prices - it's much more expensive here for certain things. The takeout section/sushi section is SO MUCH better here! And the prices are not too bad. I would definitely come here for those specialty items if I lived nearby. So if you need to take something to a dinner party please stop by here and grab a cake, some cheese or a bottle of wine and get some points while you're at it too! read more

My review is for LOBLAWS PHARMACY 3501 Yonge Street at Yonge Blvd, the grocery store of which I have been a customer for more than 25 years. if I could I would give it no stars at all. Literally the worst and most frustrating experience with regards to enquiring about Covid-19 appointments, waiting list. First of all my spouse called on Friday June 18 and spoke with a pharmacist who informed my spouse to call late afternoon on the Monday to check if they had received their covid vaccine shipment. So I called on the Monday just after 12pm and spoke to a Pharmacist who introduced herself as "Wanda". She never gave me an honest and direct answer to my questions each of which I had to ask three times. To each of my questions she simply "skirted" around her vague sketchy answers, and was not forthcoming at all. For instance I asked her about the "waiting" list and after the 6th time asking the same questions she replied with "we do not have a wait list, but we have a cancellation list" and and she would clarify as to what the difference is between the two lists and how did others get on the list. The call was almost 25 minutes. She has got to be the worst and the most unprofessional pharmacist that I had ever dealt with. My advice to you "Wanda" is just be honest because there is an old saying about honesty: "a half truth is a whole lie". read more

I like this location, I try to come here when I can but sometimes it just slips my mind unless I happen to be driving past and remember I need to pick up a pepper or something for dinner, which they always seem to have a great selection of veggies! You usually get good service here, don't have to wait around the counter for long if you want something from the deli or butcher. There is also a pharmacy and garden center, the flowers always look alive. Sometimes I feel sorry for the flowers that look so sad at you because nobody ever got to love them but this wouldn't be the case here. All of my flowers have lasted two weeks or more so if you want to pick up some flowers for the wife, then this is my suggestion on where to look! read more

As a mother of 4 children I grocery shop often. Loblaws, at Yonge and Yonge Blvd., is one of a few grocery stores I frequent. On Mother's Day I purchased slightly over $100 in groceries. Upon returning home I noticed that I was incorrectly charged for an item. I called the store and the Loblaws' customer service representative told me to simply return to the store, when convenient, with my receipt and I would receive a corrected amount of money. Tuesday afternoon I walked to Loblaws from my home (good exercise) with my receipt and also a rotten watermelon (which I had also purchased on Sunday). To be brief, I cannot adequately describe my reception by the Loblaws' staff. I met with a total of 4 service representatives- all of whom challenged my credibility. After spending in excess of 30 minutes I did finally receive the correct compensation. Such a situation should NEVER have occurred. Needless to say I will not be purchasing my groceries from this Loblaws location again. Lastly, I should mention that I have never written a review prior to today. It is my hope that Loblaws reads my comments and takes appropriate steps to ensure this distasteful situation is never repeated. read more

This is SO CUTE! Who'd ever think I'd say that about a loblaws?! I went here today in hopes to go to butter avenue after, but after I saw the patisserie inside... I had no more intentions of that. The decor in this loblaws is on point, from the cheese displays to the glass cases of macarons/cupcakes/truffles! Everything is very organized and clean. Also, I found that the meats were pretty cheap! 4 chicken breasts (pretty sizable too) are only $7.50! What?! Too bad I was headed to school after, or I'd definitely have enough chicken breast to meal prep for 3 weeks. Anyway, The patisserie is honestly the main attraction- it looks like a full blown bakery in a grocery store and it has basically everything a regular bakery would- donuts, cupcakes, mini cakes.. and there's even the worker icing cakes in front of you. I felt like a child mesmerized by the sweet icing smells. The aesthetics of the bakery section is OFF THE WALL. Also, the workers are pretty friendly and .. so is the crowd! I saw around 4-5 people that met up with their friends, so clearly it's a 'regulars' kind of place and has a very nice kind neighbourhood vibe. + 1 extra thing- it was 'get a free ben and jerry's ice cream cone' day and the kind lady manning the booth convinced me to get a free ice cream! YUM! My first Ben & Jerry's experience and it was a great one at that. read more

I'd almost forgotten this place is there. It's right by my house and I drive past it all the time but for some reason I usually go to Bayview Village or Empress Walk. This store is just so much easier to get around, and you save a lot of time getting to and from your car. The store is quite well laid out in an opposite layout to the other stores I mentioned, with the dairy and frozen foods on the right side of the store. The gluten-free section is well stocked, and you'll be in and out quick. The only real downside is that the checkout counters are too close to the shelves behind them, and any lineups quickly curl sideways and you can't get past. read more

I have never been to a grocery store with a better selection of really fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs. This is my favourite grocery store. It has free parking above and underground for those rainy days and it is consistently less expensive than the superstores in the area. It also has every counter you could possibly want: deli, butcher, fish, pharmacy, garden center and flowers as well as a very large selection of delicious premade food in buffet style. Pretty much you name it, they carry it. The premade food for the most part is sold by weight which means you can choose how much you want of anything. There's also a salad bar. Yum! I bought the flowers from here as a gift and they lasted as long (if not longer) than many of the flowers I've received from flower shops in the area. WORST loblaws out there! EVERYTHING AT THIS LOCATION $! more than any other loblaws! Staff found just chatting with each others drinking coffee and talking, never working. Cashiers lanes almost always closed except a couple that are open= long waits. Meat dept is the worst went in no groundbeef today they said and all they sell is old chicken and some expensive tough steaks, its really bad selection. Lastly, new management almost monthly, means its a training store at our expense. The Metro down yonge and even no frills much better to shop at. read more

What a nice surprise when I walked into this Loblaw (yup no s...weird but its fine) the fresh foods section, similar to Whole Foods, is really good and is actually fresh. Just like the reviewer above it was the bakery section that left me pleasantly surprised. The parking was easy and they had the new fancy carts, youll know when you see them. read more

Literally the worst customer service. The staff here has a terrible attitude. I am used to helpful and friendly service at other Loblaws locations and this one is truly pathetic. I feel like not a single employee is happy to be working there and they do not make an effort to make the store a pleasant place to shop. I dropped $200 in groceries today. The cashier did not say hello. I had to greet her. I bagged ALL the groceries. Even though I had not finished bagging by payment time, the cashier stood there while I paid. Then while I was finishing the bagging she shoved my receipt in my bag and began checking through the next customer before I was cleared away. I always bag my groceries but expect some Help to finish at the end. A thank you for you patronage wouldn't be a difficult way to close things out. Normally I am not the person who complains on a public forum, but this is not my first experience with pathetic service at this location. I am truly disappointed. the worst loblaws of them all! whomever from corporate that is running this store is a complete idiot. this store has ruined its community spirit by just not caring at all about its customers. read why here..# 1 its the most expensive store in city,,every sku here, is 1 $ more than any other loblaws and 2$ more than same items at no frills! #2 its been under construction for two bloody years now. the parking lot being redone not by a professional co, that could do this all in a month or two..since april 2021 now into the 6th month, using only 3 to 4 people, breaking cement all weird hours, dust galore on our building across street, #3 dangerous traffic jams out onto yonge st as there's no parking. this paving job should have been completed months ago but loblaws took obviously 'the lowest quote'. staff just hang out outside and smoke, or if in store just chat about their days with other staff. horendous example of no leadership and mr weston would roll in his grave to see such poor care of the community that feeds this store. avoid..go to sobeys, so much nicer, quieter, parking, better selection and pricing! read more
