Wow this Loblaws impressed me. Once walked in, there were all the fancy chocolates and lovely macaroons ($2.49 each) displaying in the display counter. On the other side, there was a cafe counter selling coffee, gelato and, oh my god, a lot of different types of donuts. The daily produced flatbreads of various choices looked very fresh and were sold for only $5.99 each. There are quite a lot of parkings on the ground level and there is an underground parking too! Customers enjoy two hours free parking. It was such a happy and excited experience shopping at this Loblaws. I would have given it a 5-star review if it is located closer to my place!

I got the same medication from a different pharmacy and the pharmacy could not mix my cream well. The cream from another pharmacy went bad just a week. However, the cream from Apotheca was mixed well and it lasted much longer. I will never go to another pharmacy. They also recommended me for the sunscreen I had never heard of. I tried and it was so good.

The compounding pharmacy is the only retailer to do so; offering other singular items like Sabi pill cases and organizers, and Formulab skincare products-the latter of which, recommended and healing, impossibly stubborn cystic acne resulting from corticosteroid treatment. Since Apotheca sits in a small space, one is immediately greeted by staff, ready to offer over-the-counter; prescription or compounding medicine assistance. With small architectural details-tiled floors, white-gold accents and sleek shelving-the pharmacy feels like a boutique showroom, accessible and inviting, engaging curiosity of all the fashionable (and useful!) must-haves for the medicine cabinet. (Why can't you be sick with style and get well too?!) In that regard, Apotheca has also succeeded with another discerning provision: serotonin-producing interior design! If the lab services are equivalent to their over-the-counter help, then this pharmacy is supremely welcome, not only to the neighbourhood, but Toronto too. Apotheca is open weekdays until evening, half-day Saturday.

We should have switched sooner. Also having prescriptions switched here was EFFORTLESS! Moreover, the big box drug store was charging a fee which, Simon pointed out, my insurance covered and the old place should not have been charging. The owner/pharmacist went to school at UofT and decided to come back to the area to open up this business, which I think is pretty neat. He was very helpful when I went in to fill prescriptions for the first time, and was welcoming to the neighbourhood when he learnt i'd just moved nearby. He even called to my old pharmacy to move my existing prescriptions, and has been great about getting orders done when I call in ahead of picking up. They have a small range of miscellaneous products you'd find at just about any pharmacy - snacks, misc health products, greeting cards, etc etc. Dispensing fees are pretty on par with most pharmacies, and just above places such as Walmart. Shorter hours mean that in a pinch for emergency prescriptions and products I might have to go elsewhere, but i'll stick with them for my regular prescriptions for sure. Overall, a win! Nice to have an owner-operated pharmacy in the neighbourhood.
