Yep I'll be back before I leave nice...we met one of the owners, who by the way is super nice and takes pride in his food preparation...no like really, he individually makes each order and you can watch if you choose. Of course we had the rose, which was standard priced at 4,50 a glass as well as the lobster salad and lobster grilled cheese...for the sandwiches you have the option of just the sandwich or the sandwich, drink, salad and chips for around 4,00 more, we opted for just the sandwich as it's larger than an American lobster roll. The lobster was very well prepared and we received a generous portion on both the salad and sandwich and most of all it wasn't chewy yayyy. The salad was very tasty and fresh, with quinoa, tomatoes, broccoli, avocado, spring lettuce and nuts oh and of course the lobster and a very light and tasty lemon dressing we were more than pleased and satisfied with our choices...the restaurant is very clean and has a modern feel and there's wine and beer to purchase...in the winter, which is now they close at 8pm so do ignore the 10:30 yelp time and if you're interested the lobster is flown in from Canada and is not home to nice but always fresh and there is a whole uncracked lobster option if you're interested...my goal is to return tomorrow if possible but if you're in nice definitely do not press go and give this place a try

Excellent lobster roll and salad. Great service and very patient with English speaking tourist. Outdoor seating is cool and close to tourism path. Clean restaurant, tables and tableware. Smoking as usual in outdoor eatery in France. Overall very pleasant experience.

Lobsta, where to get amazing lobster rolls! Just opened 1 month ago. 1 minute from the beach. Délicieux !

Delicious lobster rolls are a minute away from the beach. Brand new restaurant, great for take out and sitting inside or outside.

Absolutely delicious. I'd go back for the most popular lobster salad. Presentation was beautiful and the quality of the food was incredible.

This place is phenomenal. If you like lobster rolls then do it!

Lobsta is gone, and another Cafe has taken its place--that was not open at 3:30 PM on a Saturday.

Well done roll in a buttery toast, delicious but a bit overpriced for a snack. Still recommend it for a quick stop.

Quality/Quantity - Sorry, I actually enjoyed yesterday's coffee and pastry more. This was not bad,…read morebut it was just that yesterday was better. Got my usual americano with milk. I like the fact that they gave the milk on the side so I can do my own froth art, lol. And more importantly, I was able to control how much milk to add. The pastry was "flat," did it get crushed...? It was still good/okay. Ambiance - A very small shop on the main road. Well because it was on the main road (yesterday's cafe was on the side road next to the main road), I think I enjoyed it less. There were too many people walking by who were too close to me. Too many people interrupting my morning coffee asking for $$. Yesterday, I stayed an hour drinking my coffee, today... 20 minutes. Service - Counter service. It was okay and quick. He cracked jokes with the people behind me. Hard workers also, not sure if they were brothers...? Price - 7 Euros, $8.20 USD. 10 Euros minimum for credit card. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success.

Also note there is no cell service or WiFi service in the restaurant. Nice ambiance in the restaurant and away from the hustle and bustle of Nice. We ordered the squid, Foie Gras and Filet Mignon. All 3 were very good though I am not a fan of the Fois Gras but it came with a nice salad and bread. The squid was seasoned well and cut thin and flash fried. The filet was sliced and cooked perfect The potatoes were great and also nice salad came with it. Service was ok. Prices Moderate.

I was sooo looking forward to dining here, but unfortunately, I was left with cheese on my face (sorry no eggs here, only cheese, cheese, and more cheese). We arrived a bit early for our reservation (15-20 minutes), but we were seated immediately, which was nice; the table was stuffed into a corner, but at least we were seated. Unfortunately, that was about where the niceness ended. The restaurant is supposed to be housed in a former cheese cave, which I thought would be exciting and romantic, instead it was just hot and cramped. This is one of those restaurants that tries to accommodate as many diners as possible, so we were basically eating right on top of another couple (who were incredibly displeased, even stating, "this service is abysmal"). We could literally hear every word spoken up to two tables away, so don't expect to have any privacy, except from the servers that is. Service was unpleasant and extremely minimal. Our server took our food and drink order, delivered our drinks, another server apologized for the delay in receiving our meal, and our original server delivered our meal...and that was it. They didn't refill our water bottle, ask if I wanted another glass of wine, stop by to see if we liked our meal -or needed else (which we did), or even bring a check. After waiting too long for our check, table full of finished plates and empty cups, we eventually just got up and headed upstairs. Apparently you're supposed to head upstairs to pay, but we'd have never known since our server was doing they're best David Copperfield impression. Now for the food. The kitchen was tiny tiny, so it's no wonder the menu consists of cheese for the starter, cheese for the entree, and cheese for dessert. Sprinkled in-between the assortment of cheeses was a steak masquerading on the menu as "Aubrac Bib", whatever that means, and the Tartiflette, think pork belly scalloped potatoes and the only thing you should order here. The Tartiflette was microwave-lunch small, but it was hot, rich, and pretty meaty for the size. I got the Camembert (takes 30 minutes) and it was pretty awful as a meal. It's not even really a dish. They literally opened up the wooden wheel of cheese, peeled back the paper, sprinkled a few things on top, then baked for 30 minutes, so it was more of just a cheese dish. It arrived-paper still covering the top, and was served with some under-seasoned fingerling potatoes and a salad. The salad was good and potatoes were okay, but the cheese was so one-note, it needed meat or veggies to dip in it. Unfortunately, I only had the few potatoes and two small bits of baguette to dunk, so my only option was to eat it like soup, which I did not-so half remained wasted and uneaten. We would have liked to have eaten dessert, but after the poor meal, and lack of even offering dessert, "How could we?". I'm giving 2 stars for the Tartiflette because it was delicious. I would not return and DO NOT RECOMMEND.
