The food was delicious! The restaurant is so relaxing and the service is SO friendly. Highly recommend!

Such a fun time while enjoying a great wine list and fabulous food!

We loved this spot! It was near our Airbnb and spotted it shortly after arriving. We thought, we have to try it. . .and we were ecstatic that we did! You would never guess how large it is from looking at it from the outside! Really great interior, friendly staff, and incredible Paella! We did have reservations, I highly suggest you make one for your dining party as well. Our friend was planning her visit to Nice later in the year, and made sure to share this spot with her. Absolutely delightful dining experience!

Portion here is huge. Patella is more for 4 people not 2. I wouldn't say the food here is delicious. It's great for tourists and great for downtown but not sophisticated. The food isn't very flavorful and we need hot sauce and salt. But it looks amazing.

Fantastic food. I had a sea bream that was to die. It was clearly stuffed with herbs before it was served. Simple yet perfect. They're a bit busy, so service isn't 100% but not bad either.

Had a delicious dinner. Sat outside because the weather was nice and we didn't have a reservation. Had the spaghetti with clams and fettuccine with truffle. Both were very good. And both had big portions. I definitely recommend and I would definitely eat here again. Make reservations if you can.

Went on the recommendation of our hotel concierge for a good seafood restaurant & we enjoyed it. My sea bass was delicious. The dessert was amazing!

If you ask the receptionist at your hotel where you might be able to find some good seafood, they'll probably mention this place. I'm 99% sure the hotels have some sort of deal with Boccaccio, because I can't see how anyone who lives in Nice can't think of any other good seafood place in the area. You live on the freakin coast for God's sake! The food here is mediocre. I had the huge 3-tier sampler of the cold seafood, and I wasn't terribly impressed by any of it. I've had better mussels, oysters, crab, and such back home in California. The service is pretty terrible compared to everywhere else we went. Servers make a quick judgment about whether they like you (whether you have a lot of money) and aren't very attentive at all. I highly recommend taking a taxi to La Reserve instead. Or finding one of the little restaurants in the center of Old Town.

Great service and not a long wait. The service was pretty good even though it could have been more attentive at times. There's a longer wait for the outside. We didn't have reservations and got there around 9p and we only waited about 10 minutes. They give you a glass of champagne while you wait, which is a nice touch. We had the paella for two, which was 30 Euro each. And the pan was twice the size of a steering wheel. Really. The first plate was really good but I got full fast and the bottom pieces looked too oily to eat. The millefeuille was made when it was ordered and it was the best dessert we had in France. Most of the patrons were older and this place reminded me of a toned down Waterbar in SF with the little aquarium dome in the middle.

This restaurant happened to be close to our hotel and we were looking for either bouillabaisse or paella for dinner. This place had paella, and plenty of seating outdoors. We stopped by, sat outside, and proceeded to order seafood paella! The portion size is HUGE, probably could feed 2-4 people, so we just ordered that. :) To be honest though, the paella was decent but not super flavorful. Pretty salty, haha. Lots of mussels and shrimp! :) We had to take a pretty large portion with us to-go, to eat for lunch the next day.

    Paella!!! Boccaccio, Nice

Paella, Paella, Paella!! While roaming the streets of Nice, after a long day in St. Tropez, the sight of large plates of seafood and enormous cast iron pans of Paella caught our eye. We opted to dine outside, which resembled your average French sidewalk restaurant, inside however, was a bar, enticing displays of fresh seafood and a very elegant dining room, resembling the interior of a cruise ship, one floor up. We opted for Mussels as an appetizer and then went for it, the Paella!! Considering it was just two of us, this was probably a bad idea as this dish could've easily fed 4! Giant prawns, mussels, clams and more just blew our mind, it was nothing short of delicious. The saddest part was having to leave some behind as we had to eventually tap out before literally exploding. A nighttime stroll along the Promenade Des Anglais, to walk off our gluttony, made it a perfect night.

The paella is a big portion , the seafood, sausage and rice in it was good. We also order a dozen of oysters. Oysters were very fresh and delicious.

Great quality food, and HUGE portions. We had seefood pasta, lobster pasta and clams pasta. All came in very big portions. And single cream brulee is also good for 40,

C'est magnifique! Paella is a house specialty, and rightly so. Wonderful staff, and don't pass on the creme brulee...the best I've ever had!

The shrimp was slightly over done but still good. The fish and calamari were breaded and seasoned well. I've never had fried sardines (whole body included; I've only had canned sardines in the past) so I wasn't prepared to eat these. I tried it but it wasn't my preference. The salad was nice and fresh. Located along the main street with shopping and restaurants galore, this Italian, street facing patio restaurant stands out. Two things to note before dining; 1. Everything on the menu is very large portions and 2. Each guest seated must order food. This is a busy area where weights can build up and seats are reserved for those people who will eat and drink. That being said, the food is absolutely outstanding and the two times I've been here they have been very accommodating with large groups without reservations. This is where I fell in love with French rosé and the price point on both food and drinks is a good value. Like I said, you will be taking food with you when you leave if you don't come hungry! I can't wait to return to Nice and when I do, this will definitely be on my list of stops

The restaurant opens at 7pm for dinner and there was a line formed when we arrived around 7:20, very interesting experience for Europe. Living in the US, this restaurant reminds me of a lot of new restaurant group restaurants that just kind of have a system in place. Again, not a bad thing, but not your place if you are looking for something that feels like classic Italy. The portions here are huge, which they are known for. Note that the menu states each person must order an entree, which seems to discourage sharing (since they literally bring you an entire pan). I got the seafood pasta with shrimp and clams in a fresh tomato sauce and my friend got the lasagna. Both were really good dishes and huge portions. We both had a full meal of leftovers for the next day. Not anything I can't get at a good Italian restaurant in the US, but good food. The espresso martini was a good one though!! I think my 3 stars are more about the overall experience here. The food I would give a 4.
