This spot is VERY Chinese. Lots of banter in the language but I liked the energy it gave. A little bit of a language barrier but I tried to keep it short and brief, and we "communicated" through photos of what I wanted, and what he could do. Almost all the chairs were full. I brought my son with me and everyone was nice to him (-: He was able to sit on a chair and wait for me while I had my hair done. Ming gave me exactly what I wanted. Basically a refresh. They were able to shampoo and rinse my hair, I was put in the chair, Ming and I had an exchange, and he went to work with precision and expertise. QUICKLY may I add.. I found my local salon. I wanted to try out a u-shape with very few layers so my hair can retain the volume. The u-shape turned out a bit more v-shaped but it still looked good. Only thing I would say is that I wish they used heat protectant on my hair before straightening it, since my hair is already very damaged from bleaching in the past. Over the course of the appointment they kept cutting more and more very quickly without asking. By the end they had layered it and cut more than 4 inches off. I tend to go to places based on personal recommendations, so I'm sad to say this will be my last time here. I will say, as I waited, I saw three young boys get their hair done; it seems like kids' cuts were $15 and they all looked good.
