Love love love the poke here !!…read more The gentleman working was so kind and was able to describe the ingredients and flavors really well. He asked us several questions to understand which poke we would enjoy the most. This foodland is a good size and very clean has a variety of island favorites I purchased Hawaiian coffee , fresh fruit , pineapple wine , Hawaiian juices . All of the workers here were pleasant and helpful I went back several times during my visit.

So for an early lunch we made it a point to stop by Foodland Farms by the Lahaina bypass before we went into town to visit Mom! No regrets! In our multiple visits wifey & I both got the 2-choice poke bowl special with hot rice for only $10.99 a bowl! Now dat is value eats especially being on Maui! We tried a bunch of em: -California Roll Ahi Poke -Limu Ahi Poke -Shoyu Ahi Poke -Spicy Ahi Poke -Oyster Sauce Ahi Poke -Hawaiian Style Ahi Poke We tried the new trend too now with poke bowls, add fried chicken skin! Oh boy, add some crunch & umami punch! Buggah ONO! And no forget a side of Maui pickled onion for only $1 extra! Add even more flava! That Mickey D's don't got Foodland Farms beat when it comes to a value combo! Grab a poke bowl and a soft drink for under $15! Good eating for a day in the sand! Or a day in the shops! You can believe the hype about the Poke here. This wine and liquor store is tucked away at the top…read moreof a hill in somewhat of a mini industrial business area. Plenty of parking though as it's on a private lot. Let me tell you, the poke here is fire!!!! So fresh!!! Found this place here through Yelp, and the other Yelpers definitely did not disappoint. The store is super clean, and each staff member I encountered here were all very polite, and helpful. When you walk in, the Poke section is directly to your left. When we arrived, there was a line and for good reason. They had about 5 or 6 different kind of Poke's the days we went 7/29 and 7/31. I had the Spicy Ahi and the Tamura's one day. Then the Shoyu and Chili pepper the next. All which were extremely fresh and flavorful. Great to eat by itself, or you can elect for a Poke bowl, which gets you two scoops of rice with furikake and sesame seed (if you want) and two choices of poke. You won't regret it if you're a poke fan! We came here twice to satisfy our poke craving. Crazy how it's a large liquor and wine store, which I'm sure they get a lot of customers for. But the days we went, it mainly were both locals and tourists stopping in for just the poke. Just a heads up, I overheard a lady ask "will you have more tomorrow"? To which the employee said, "yes we have enough fish for the next 3 days" which tells me that they do run out or have days where their poke bar is closed. The poke bowl was $14.99 each and completely worth it. Best Poke I've tried so far in Maui! Give them a try!

Quality/Quantity - Small local supermarket that sells poke and alcohol, so you would think this would be PERFECT for someone like me! The poke was limited by the time we got here at 1:30pm ish. The poke looked fresh, and there was a long line; slightly unorganized. Not the business's fault, but the customers. I think everyone in line was trying to look into the case at the same time. Lots of other Maui and/or HI items for sale. Atmosphere - Plenty of free parking. Open 7 days a week from 10am until ?? See my picture. Starting 6/3/22 open daily from 10am to 6pm; as of 6/5 this has NOT been updated on Yelp. Poke hours differ, see picture - thank you for posting this! The bathrooms are right when you walk in, which is nice. No delivery service. No loyalty program - everyday low prices. Service - Good. Price - Reasonable prices, same or slightly above the other supermarkets. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1995 with your 12+ locations (includes markets and restaurants). 1920 Makitaro Tamura opened the first store. 1995 - Grandsons now own these locations.

Lots of cool fruits to see how they grow and the progression through different developmental stages. Was also wonderful to be able to eat all the fruits we got to see growing at the end. Definitely changed my opinion on some fruits that I now like because I've never had them at their peak ripeness. Our guide was super nice and had good energy. I did however feel like the farm was run by a lot of very young adults or ppl that felt like they didn't have a ton of experience there yet so kinda wasn't able to answer a decent amount of questions but it's ok we still enjoyed ourselves and them.

What an amazing and unique experience! The Maui Dragon Fruit Farm is so much more than dragon fruit…read morethey grow a huge variety of tropical fruits like pineapple, papaya, lychee, bananas (others I'm forgetting), and even herbs they turn into tea. Our guide was incredibly sweet and knowledgeable, making the tour both fun and educational. One of the highlights was getting to pick a dragon fruit right off the plant and eat it in the field. It was absolutely delicious and so much fresher than what we get back home. Our guide explained it's because store-bought fruits are picked early for shipping, and you could really taste the difference. As wonderful as that was, the best part came at the end... sampling! We were given a generous plate of fresh fruit, four different teas, and even a couple of cookies. Everything was bursting with flavor and so refreshing. The farm is beautiful, the experience is one-of-a-kind, and the people make it extra special. I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Maui; it's fun, educational, and absolutely delicious!
