This little market gets full stars for presentation, convenience and for having almost everything you need, if you are staying in a villa at the Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resorts. When you walk in, it's inviting, well presented and extremely organized. In essence, it's an upscale, neighborhood grocery store. The reason why I docked two stars is be because you pay out the nose for that convenience. The yogurt I grabbed for breakfast was $1.79. When we later went to a supermarket, the same yogurt was $0.99. I don't care about $0.80 on a yogurt, but it's just a hard lesson when the same item is priced that differently when they are around the corner from each other. Lesson learned. The other star was because they served Starbucks coffee. I guess they need to consider the popularity of Starbucks with the masses, but Maui produces coffee locally, so it would have been a nice touch to have them support their local growers. Long and short of it, I gave them an a-ok! It's a pretty cool little spot, but some local java and fairer prices would make them shine!

This supermarket is located inside the north tower of the westin resort in lahaina. I would never have gone here if it weren't for the welcome gift that westin was offering (ended up getting a free 20 dollar cold insulating bag for drinks). The cafe has just about everything you need so that you don't need to leave the resort. They have a liquor wine and beer section, prepared sandwiches and spam musubi, frozen food such as digiornos, yogurt, Starbucks coffee, fresh to go sandwiches made with boars head meat. If you consider how convenient and clean everything is here, you can't complain. Yes the prices are higher than your grocery store outside but what can you expect when you are at the westin in hawaii. If you compare shops in resorts like this I think this place is phenomenal.

Very simple little market in a resort. Had salt, which we needed as our rental had none.

We kept coming back throughout our trip just for the poke and the packaged fruit, especially the strawberries, kiwis, and papayas. On our last night, they were unfortunately sold out of our favorite fruit pack, so we picked up separate packages of papaya, watermelon, kiwis, and strawberries instead. They were just as fresh and delicious. If you're staying nearby, this is definitely a great place to stock up on fresh, tasty food.

It is a convenient 10-minute drive from Ka'anapali, offers plenty of parking, and is surrounded by other great restaurants. We ended up trying a few different types of poke, as well as the poke bowl, which comes with a scoop of rice and your choice of poke. If you visit the Safeway across the street, you have to stop by the meat market for the poke and then head to the deli just to get your rice. Here, however, everything is seamlessly handled at a single counter in one quick stop. The prices are incredibly reasonable, and authentic Hawaiian poke is completely unbeatable compared to what you find on the mainland. Don't forget to sign up for their discount card, which can be used across their various locations, including the ones in Honolulu. We even had a great dollar-off coupon during one of our visits. The cashiers and staff are exceptionally friendly--we absolutely love this location. I think all Foodland location is staffed with nice and friendly people.

Plenty of parking though as it's on a private lot. Let me tell you, the poke here is fire!!!! So fresh!!! Found this place here through Yelp, and the other Yelpers definitely did not disappoint. The store is super clean, and each staff member I encountered here were all very polite, and helpful. When you walk in, the Poke section is directly to your left. When we arrived, there was a line and for good reason. They had about 5 or 6 different kind of Poke's the days we went 7/29 and 7/31. I had the Spicy Ahi and the Tamura's one day. Then the Shoyu and Chili pepper the next. All which were extremely fresh and flavorful. Great to eat by itself, or you can elect for a Poke bowl, which gets you two scoops of rice with furikake and sesame seed (if you want) and two choices of poke. You won't regret it if you're a poke fan! We came here twice to satisfy our poke craving. Crazy how it's a large liquor and wine store, which I'm sure they get a lot of customers for. But the days we went, it mainly were both locals and tourists stopping in for just the poke. Just a heads up, I overheard a lady ask "will you have more tomorrow"? To which the employee said, "yes we have enough fish for the next 3 days" which tells me that they do run out or have days where their poke bar is closed. The poke bowl was $14.99 each and completely worth it. Best Poke I've tried so far in Maui! Give them a try!

There was ample parking at the store where the tour left from. We took an air-conditioned sprinter van slightly up the hill to get to the land where the cocoa beans are actually grown. Our tour guide was Gabriel and he was extremely knowledgeable. After learning all about the process of growing, harvesting, and drying the cocoa beans, we got to partake in a delicious sampling in what can only be described as an adult "treehouse". With 360 panoramic views, and a wonderful breeze, we listened as Gabriel explained the various chocolates we were sampling and I thoroughly enjoyed each and everyone. Once back at the shop, we had the opportunity to purchase chocolate and also try a variety of items from their café menu if we wanted (for additional charge). All in all, the tour was a wonderful and educational experience and definitely opened my eyes to the deliciousness of the Maui Kuia Estate Chocolate.
